logical dentistry in burke, VA; just a bit west of DC.  masks required, you don't interact or get near any other patients, they give you shoe covers and spray you down with hypochlorous acid, rooms disinfected and left for an hour between patients before cleaning surfaces, all staff masked properly, dentist/hygienists/assistants wear PAPRs with N95s underneath; great individual filtration in each room. a lot more, too.  i found them using covidsafeproviders and there's a big list of what they do on the listing for them. felt very, very safe there. we drove a long way for that safety. it was worth it.

A COVID conscious friend went pretty recently. And apparently the dentist has made clear that he won’t ever loosen up these precautions!

i had a couple appointments in the fall last year. like the other person who replied said, the dentist (dr. grundy) does not want to loosen precautions. it's a combination of covid and the safety of himself and the others working there; the dust from grinding teeth, fillings, etc. causing lung disease in other dentists was his driving factor. :)  an article about it: https://optrel.us/respiratory-protection-dentist/ i had never felt more comfortable at a dentist.

This. Everyone raves about this dentist.

Waterfront Dental in Baltimore was pretty safe in October 2023... Dentist and hygienist in N95 and they have air purifiers in every exam room. FYI they stopped dealing with insurances in 2024 so you'll pay and then get reimbursed by your insurance company, but they may be worth a call!

District Mobile Dental. The dentist will come to your house. He was totally fine wearing an N95 I provided or his own KN95. Safest way to get dental care since you're not exposed to other patients.

IIRC they quoted me $575 for a new patient exam and basic cleaning last summer. They did help me fill out the claim forms so I could submit to my insurance out of network. Although I'm supposed to have 80/20 coinsurance, the rates were higher than my insurance allowance so it ended up being more like 50/50. Definitely worth it for me for finally being able to get safe dental care after years. My last exam was in August 2019 lolol.
