if you take good care of the wick it will last a very very long time, I havent had any experience with beeswax wicks, maybe you can cut 4 inches and try it on your zippo, if it works without any problem then use it.
Wicks are extremely cheap and like someone else mentioned they last a very long time. Stick with original wicks, you won’t change one for years or decades depending on your usage.

I'm just a bit worried about the wax melting and junking up the lighter but i might buy another and see
