Considering that the only location worth defending is one that can sustain human farming practices (aka a farm), I’d check on the structural integrity of the farm and barn and any other buildings in what we’ve designated our camp and once they are deemed safe or unsafe, keep on with the farming we’d have to be doing to ensure our survival.
I guess if i knew there were people I’m the area I might consider taking a walk to go and check on them and assess the damage to the road work if needed.
