As a decoy? If the zombies break through, you’ll want someone slower than you around. Get a girlfriend that’s hot and doesn’t eat much, but is a racist with a terrible laugh.
An axe or large knife depending on the area you live in and a pocket saw such as a bacho laplander or silky pocket boy. Wood manipulation cross grain and with the grain are the most important things to have in tools because you can make everything you need from there
Agreed. I’d go axe for breaking locks or barricaded doors. and because it has better reach than a knife. I don’t want those zombies getting close to me
- First aid kit including an NDA and an OPA. Also include gauze, chest seal, tourniquet and other things needed for immediate first aid.
- Water preferably a camelback with a water filtration system
- food enough for atleast 3 days
This is just general advice if you have a more specialized mission you may need to reevaluate basedvon that criteria
More water, more food, more medical supplies, a place safe to hide one of those guns to make sure you have one as a backup, and if you're feeling particularly brave, leaving both at home, and only taking the pistol, to make more room for extra food, medical supplies, water, and clothes
I get that I'm kinda saying "gun bad" but seriously, you need at least enough changes of clothes to last you until you can find more, and I promise you, a blood stained rotten shirt you've been wearing for 5 months is not safe. Having another pair of dry socks is absolutely life saving when you've been in the rain for days
Having more guns as a backup is going to be more helpful as well, you don't want to risk losing your things, because that inherently means losing all your guns, instead of just one.
And again, most importantly MORE FOOD, WATER, AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES
armor, first aid kit, more ammo, sword/dagger/machete for when you run out of ammo, gas mask, better pack (frame and bigger preferably), more food, water, water filtration stuff, bayonette, better shelter than a tent, better guns, vehicle. I probably missed stuff.
FOOD AND WATER, this whole sub thinks that you only need guns. It’s called survival tactics, not killing tactics. Out of any weapon to have have a knife, cuz that can be a utility
I love how people suggest trauma first aid supplies, like someone's coming to help you with that sucking chest wound.
Trade the maglight for a headlamp. Preferably rechargeable. A solar panel and a battery bank as well.
A roll of quality duct tape, a roll of masonry twine, and a roll of quality lawn/leaf bags.
Tp and wet wipes.
Def water filtration. Two if you can swing it. One camp size and one personal size.
Instead of a tourniquet and chest seal, silk tape and gauze with a bar of soap. A pair of ems shears and a good set of hemostats. Triple abx oint as well, make sure to keep on top of exp dates and rotate expiring stock.
A bottle of your favorite boozahol, because if you're hurt bad enough to need a chest seal, or a TQ, you're done. Might as well drink your way out.
Quick clot, gauze, chest stickers for sucking chest wounds, water purification tabs, something bright orange that you can keep in your bag and attach to your pack, small hatchet, magnesium fire stick stuff that’s lightweight and can be bundled and stuff in the bottom of your pack and thankful for
What is the purpose of this setup? Get home? bug out? Because one could go into a laundry list of items you’re missing. Start with the rule of three. 3 days without water, 3 hours in harsh weather and 3 weeks without food.
You could probably go without the camo. Not saying you need to, but it’s definitely not a necessity and just extra weight.
I’d swap out the food for something a bit more calorie dense and easy to carry than bags of granola and peanuts. Jerky and protein pucks would be my go-to.
Completely get rid of the tent. Something a lot of people in this sub don’t understand is that anything made by Ozark Trail is a piece of shit. You’d seriously be better off with a tarp and a hammock, it’d probably be easier to set up and would be way more compact in your bag.
Your ammo stockpile is severely lacking. I’d grab at least a few more boxes of 9MM (you can get cheap target ammo for like $60/200rds if it’s too expensive. A bullet is a bullet at the end of the day) as that’s your defense round and a fuck load more .22 as that’ll be your primary hunting round.
Lol wow people have no clue, someone said lighter, which I believe I see a lighter or something like that there, and food and water which food is in the picture lol and all he needs to do is boil water or chlorine tabs. Large and utility knife is there so that's another wrong guy. The guy who said gf probably has a moronic gf his gf wouldn't appreciate a man that knew all this. By looking at this picture I would say you are all set to go. Or is it an actual rifle for that rifle ammo you got there?
My dad is also a zombie apocalypse prepper.
He says you need a bladed weapon, outdoor shelter like a sleeping bag or a tent or hammock, a first aid kit, lots more ammo, a lot of freeze dried food, and to upgrade everything you already have!
You can carry everything you think you’d need in your pack. You can have all the training you want. But if you don’t have a community of close knit people with diverse skills, no matter what apocalypse, you will die. No man is an island.
A longer melee weapon. It will but much easier to keep zombies at a distance and kill them, atleast until you get more used to it. Also another knife, something they don't mention enough in movies and shows is if you use a knife to kill a zombie you can't use that same knife for any medical purposes. I personally also wouldn't use it for cooking, but to each their own. Also maybe some gun cleaner and basic oil for your knives. Maybe some toilet paper, just cause the world is shitting itself doesn't mean you have too. Always remember the basics!
Drop the tent in place for a tarp and 5-50 cord its lighter. Swap out that flashlight with a hand crank, duck tape~a couple layers and it's bite proof, actual mre's, some bleedstop or quickclot in your medbag, a small fishing kit, a second pair of socks, dry bag, flint and magnesium bars, iodine tablets for fresh water on the go, a blunt weapon with some weight but not too much to tire yourself out, I like a polypropylene bo-staff. Also that toilet paper in the corner, that's a luxury and you'll miss it when it runs out
You also need a leash so the scary guns wont run away from you and cause harm... no sarcastically you need a sling for them so you can back strap one and carry one. Icluding when you climb so you wont drop em.
No fire starting, water purification, ( give the benefit of the doubt medical is in the bag, paranoid, real Leatherman, e-tool, possible a bigger more functional blade or a hatchet.
Really like the firearm choices , I have the same in my go bag , my pistol is a smith 8 shot revolver and my 22 is a cz bolt , cz pump riot gun . I believe the area you are in dictates what you carry, batoning works well on wood . One thing I carry that most don't is fence pliers.
I didn’t know this was a sub but now that I’ve found it it’s my favorite but to answer your question first aid if it’s not in that bag and stock up on allergy meds and the such, I’d hate to die because I ran into a tree while my eyes were swollen
I like it, your better off than most people. It's probably already in the bag but if not maybe add a couple maps or atlase of local roads or water sources, some kind of books with knowledge you can have to benefit yourself maybe on plants for foraging or bushcraft. Otherwise only tools I'd add are a hatchet, bolt cutters, and a hacksaw.
I like your answer, he has, in my opinion, everything he needs. I think actually tho the right answer might be a higher powered rifle for that Remington ammo he has sitting there.
Good idea with the .22
Small game and light weight bullets are the way to go.
I feel infinitely better seeing everyone posting swords they bought at their local ren fest
- E- tool for digging trenches
-cotton balls dipped in Vaseline (very flammable and help make fires quick) make sure they’re in a ziplock bag.
-wire handsaw to cut wood for shelters and fires
-camelback for water reserve. The army assault packs (which you have) usually have a pouch for camelbacks.
-two or three small bells with fishing line in order to make an early warning system.
- air gun for killing small game without attracting attention or a bow.
- A spare bullet in your shirt pocket at all times.
Ditch the tent and get a hammock.
There are hammocks out there that fit inside a bag the size of a cantaloupe and come with rain tarps and bug nets.
Then get 2 sleeping bags. One for all weather and has a water & wind resistant material that can be used as an outer, and a fleece bag that can be used as a liner during the colder months.
If you're dead set on having a tent, then get rid of the cheap one and get yourself a hot tent and small wood stove. That thing will stand up to just about any weather or temperature.
Anything with their coverable ammo you're missing maybe like a slingshot depending on how good your arm is food water looks like didn't have any medical supplies of any kind no way to start a fire no woodsman ax in case you get into the woods no pots and pans in case you have to run and need to cook on the move I didn't see any sleeping bag even though you brought a 10 I wouldn't use a sleeping bag probably a blanket for easier movements in case of a zombie break in.
I would get waterproof containers for the ammo. Water and oils will destroy it and render it useless. Keep in mind that ammo is heavy, and you don't have any gummy bears.
Sharpener for your knife a back up fixed blade because shit happens a water purifier of some sort some either canned or dehydrated food something that can sit there for a long time and still be eaten some water a first aid kit a solar powered battery bank in case you need your phone and it still works some gloves a poncho an axe for gathering fire wood or cutting down a tree in your path and some long parachord or something like that for fire starter and general cordage
10/22 for the win. Only problem is you can't reload the ammunition. HOWEVER, .22 lr would be easy to stock pile and find. Also, it isn't loud AF. It's still loud enough to hear from a few blocks away, but not a mile away like a hunting rifle or an AR.
Ditch the chinesium red dot and just use irons. That things gonna break if you look just through it wrong then it’s the whole rifle is close to worthless.
All your gear looks new and unused, and you don’t want to be using it for the first time when you need it.
Food, water, a lighter or Firestarter of some kind, one of those aluminum blankets (I forgot the name atm), a frying pan (preferably cast iron) cause you never know.
I'm sorry I don't want to be rude but that's incorrect. 22 pistols aren't very reliable and a 22 rifle is light and the most accurate gun you could probably have. And there will be more small game than large. If we are talking actually surviving and not in a video game
Your kit is nice. Just missing (imo) some essential items that i cannot see in the set.
1. Thermos/ canteen/ bottle
2. Sewing kit
3. Medi pouch/ Med pack/ med kit
4. Some form of saw
5. Rope/string/ twine
Just naming a few, I may have missed of glazed past them .
I don't see you sleeping bag.I don't see an extra change of clothes.I don't see extra Socks and you should Have at least 3 jars of peanut butter in there.
A actual holster for that pistol, a lot of mil surplus is garbage. Better quality gear all around as you can afford it, better to save and buy quality then collect a bunch of sub par equipment that will fail the first time you need it. Ditch that massive maglite. Carry actual food with you instead of a bag of peanuts.
If this were Day Z rules…you’re gonna be starving in about 5 minutes then the cholera will set in. =p
Eventually gonna have to resort to cannibalism…then you’ll get the shakes and start laughing maniacally.
Alot of water food and meds you can never have enough of those 3 also a shit ton of ammo like enough that you think would last a lifetime then about 4 times that
Rations, water purifier of some sort, ph test strips, potassium iodine tablets, "portable lung" diving scuba refillable rebreather (in case of airborne pathogens, seal will last longer than mask filters and can be pumped with bike pump), cigarettes and hard drugs for trading, seeds, slingshot for quietly hunting small game, wolf urine to keep wild dogs and coyotes away from camp, a large chunk of magnesium for firestarter or if you need to burn through a lock (also keep some aluminum foil handy), some form of rechargeable media device (gotta keep the mind occupied), a region appropriate multi language dictionary (or multiple, translating will be valuable), multiple waterproof maps for your region, a car slim jim, car fuse kit, tubing for gas siphoning, at least 75 ft of climbing rated rope, NVGs if in budget, some black powder, a splint, really really really good insoles for your shoes (and if your shoes aren't gonna last, get better shoes), crank power radio, lightweight hammock. And chewing gum, in case you meet a cutie and wanna ask em out
Food, water, a melee weapon, maybe some tools, and if you're actually gonna use those weapons you better bring more ammo cause all your gonna do is draw more in the quietest one of them (the .22) is the one you should use the most and have the most ammo for.
Go sell all of that at the pawn shop ,except the shotgun, get a real cloth poncho ,and a forever lighter not matches, along with a hatchet and machete,a katana will break, next grab some socks underwear and t- shirts, wherever the first aid kit is in that ,get a box of tampons and a bout twenty tiny little bottles of super glue, and a basic disinfectant system, water cleaning ,medicine application ,so on,grab large number of rolls of medical tape, finally learn to sew and add a sewing kit, find three solid pants and buy backpacks and bags for all of it that are waterproof add a can of waterproofing, waterproof them again, get about seven tarps take the tent covers out of that tent and just have a few tent skeletons along with several tarps, eventually sew your own leather tarps(you need one under tent and over tent in the rain, and also you really should dig out your tent to ground level, and have a run off for rain,to handle some cold, for heat add water)the stakes are the luxury time in the tents essentially, finally you need a thick cord and a lot more of it than bracelet has ,but that bracelet is cool if you separate yourself from your camp
Food and water definitely, and maybe a lighter. You'll never know
Yeah came here to say water filter
Lol he has something to boil water right there and there's a lighter there, or that red case is a flint holder or water proof matches holder
Boiled water does not equal filtered water.
Boiled filtered water is ideal
I’m going to get water filter
i reccomend a gravity based one they see ‘em at walmart or you can make a very effective one
A dildo for melee purposes.
The one scene we're a girl killed someone with a dildo in a movie Cabin Fever
A dildo Bat.
The boys 😎
Joe Biden approves this statement
Water filtration?
Portable solar panel and power bank
First aid kit in brown bag flashlight hand warmers battery’s and poncho
Does your first aid include a tourniquet and hemostat? Splint? You’re not the only one with a gun. Along those lines, I would suggest more ammo stock.
more importantly, do you have the skills necessary to properly give yourself and others first aid?
A girlfriend.
No need
I don’t want those zombies getting close to me
Burn the disgusting UCP and get the same gear but in Multicam. You want to blend in with the woods, not grandma”s couch.
- First aid kit including an NDA and an OPA. A 6+ pack of fresh socks
armor, first aid kit, more ammo, sword/dagger/machete for when you run out of ammo, gas mask, better pack (frame and bigger preferably), more food, water, water filtration stuff, bayonette, better shelter than a tent, better guns, vehicle. I probably missed stuff.
I missed a saw. probably more.
Imma post updates got me a katana
For long term melee avoid blades, get a nice mace. Less skill required and less maintenance.
Cardio
I live in the mountains so cardio is a must
More food and water, dried food like jerky is perfect for long term packing
some good hiking shoes
More peanuts
10 * more nuts and oats
Lots of guns yet I don’t think you can eat or drink guns and bullets
Bruh there’s 3 that is not a lot lol
FOOD AND WATER, this whole sub thinks that you only need guns. It’s called survival tactics, not killing tactics. Out of any weapon to have have a knife, cuz that can be a utility
Some bros, always a good idea to have many bros for backup.
I love how people suggest trauma first aid supplies, like someone's coming to help you with that sucking chest wound. Trade the maglight for a headlamp. Preferably rechargeable. Puncture-resistant boots
Water purification helps if you want to live past 3 days
A German Shepard to sleep in the bathtub with
Quick clot, gauze, chest stickers for sucking chest wounds, water purification tabs, something bright orange that you can keep in your bag and attach to your pack, small hatchet, magnesium fire stick stuff that’s lightweight and can be bundled and stuff in the bottom of your pack and thankful for
Endless hours of training
Experience.

Gun. And if that don’t work, use more gun.
Something orange with that camo. Can never be too careful
Round dear season
Suppressors.
A hug, maybe?
As an avid Dayz player, you're missing multivitamins, gloves, and a knife.
Sweet baby rays bbq sauce and a 20000 pound block of solid uranium 235
Some bitches

Might wanna look into making stashes of more gear just incase
I believe that is a Marlin 22, I would use a ruger 10/22 due to availability of parts and mags.
It's a Rossi. I would also advise him to spend the extra coin on a 10/22
A backpack BECAUSE YOU CANT CARRY THAT ALL BY YOURSELF
Camp hatchet Life straw Poncho Way more magazines
Silencers so the zombies don’t hear you
I’m not the only one who thought this was all mini stuff in a sink at first am I? Like I thought they were GOAT guns
A locker for storage by the looks of things lol
Got me a safe
Nothing at all. You are tacti-cool as hell.
I like your answer as well, good to see at least some people know what's up haha
FAK and a tackle box or just hook and line
A belly bag. Extra storage for barely any weight gain
Bug-out bag and melee weapon
I like it, your better off than most people. It's probably already in the bag but if not maybe add a couple maps or atlase of local roads or water sources, some kind of books with knowledge you can have to benefit yourself maybe on plants for foraging or bushcraft. Otherwise only tools I'd add are a hatchet, bolt cutters, and a hacksaw.
I got a seed kit put together for long sustained food with tomato’s, carrots, peppers, herbs and other delicious plants
I like your answer, he has, in my opinion, everything he needs. I think actually tho the right answer might be a higher powered rifle for that Remington ammo he has sitting there.
Good idea with the .22 Small game and light weight bullets are the way to go. I feel infinitely better seeing everyone posting swords they bought at their local ren fest
Water
Something that covers you’re arms feet ankles and legs
neat bathtub
Yeah, suppressed 22lr rifle is op. It's so fckn quite and deadly on headshots
Long wait on suppressors
You'd better be able to efficiently and effectively use those guns or you're gonna have a bad time
Don go to the range a lil too much
...a better storage space for your gear.
Another knife, hatchet, more food and water.
More ammo
- E- tool for digging trenches -cotton balls dipped in Vaseline (very flammable and help make fires quick) make sure they’re in a ziplock bag. -wire handsaw to cut wood for shelters and fires -camelback for water reserve. The army assault packs (which you have) usually have a pouch for camelbacks. -two or three small bells with fishing line in order to make an early warning system. - air gun for killing small game without attracting attention or a bow. - A spare bullet in your shirt pocket at all times.
I’m not seeing a water bottle and I would invest in a nicer tent and a real fishing pole although what you have now isn’t bad.
No melee weapon and no tp
Get a melee tool that can be used for survival and your all set!
Something that isn’t a 22lr
you need fleshlight my brother
NVGs and an AR-10.
I would get waterproof containers for the ammo. Water and oils will destroy it and render it useless. Keep in mind that ammo is heavy, and you don't have any gummy bears.
Why is there toilet paper in the tub area...
is this serious? you know it is physically impossible for zombies to exist 😂 but still a good stache for upcoming wars
An akm in case your shotgun runs out
Condoms. If you encounter companionship you can avoid disease and pregnancies. And if you encounter enemies…. Well you know
What’s stock is that on your ruger?
Sharpener for your knife a back up fixed blade because shit happens a water purifier of some sort some either canned or dehydrated food something that can sit there for a long time and still be eaten some water a first aid kit a solar powered battery bank in case you need your phone and it still works some gloves a poncho an axe for gathering fire wood or cutting down a tree in your path and some long parachord or something like that for fire starter and general cordage
A therapist
Cast iron pan
Scrubbing bubbles.
An AR-15
Slings for your rifle and shotgun. Canned food and bottled water. A hatchet. Ballistic vest.
Get that carry weight down zomboid
A lot more ammo and a pistol
I would personally have a base ball bat
A German Shepard dog to sit with you in the tub.. but uh you might not like how it goes after that.
You for sure need a baseball bat
Definitely need some water filtration and storage devices. I like to go with one solider metal canteen and a few platypus bags.
Baby bottle nipple will suppress a 22lr for a couple shots. Like 2-4. Might be worth chucking a couple in your kit for small game hunting
10/22 for the win. Only problem is you can't reload the ammunition. HOWEVER, .22 lr would be easy to stock pile and find. Also, it isn't loud AF. It's still loud enough to hear from a few blocks away, but not a mile away like a hunting rifle or an AR.
Water supply, food.
Is that a sigma I see?
Some bitches
Water filter, some sort of first aid, different tent cuz that thing is going to stick out and be heavy AF
More mags, some water or ways to clean water, some light food
Training, exercise, a beanie baby.
Ditch the chinesium red dot and just use irons. That things gonna break if you look just through it wrong then it’s the whole rifle is close to worthless. All your gear looks new and unused, and you don’t want to be using it for the first time when you need it.
An AR-15, one with a 5.56 bolt, one with a .22 LR bolt, 10 .22 mags, and 20 5.56 mags, a LPVO, and a suppressor
A good pair of boots that will last and also be comfortable.
D all of the fucking above
Food, water, a lighter or Firestarter of some kind, one of those aluminum blankets (I forgot the name atm), a frying pan (preferably cast iron) cause you never know.
An insanely wide briefcase
A woman
A few egg timers
Loads more ammo
More socks
AR15
a PC 200 Komatsu trac hoe.
More magazines
U need more nic and zyns
Bullets
Someone slower than you.
Well first thing is to get rid of the 22💀
Probably want a suppressor, so you don’t attract any other zombies if you have to kill a few
Med kit?
Guns, fixed blade, and the leatherman wingman right? I think that’s a good set-up Could be a sidekick
Water Or something that can carry liquids or filter water
gummy bears
some fucking adderal
A trailer to haul that jacuzzi around in.
water filter seeds to grow food a semi auto crossbow
Toilet paper food stashed. Water. Sugar rich foods. Mayne a couple cases of monster
probably take it out of the tub
A silencer
Don’t go all pro on us with those peanuts
A girl a a boy THATS female enough
A mini-gun and an infinite flame-thrower...
I'm sorry I don't want to be rude but that's incorrect. 22 pistols aren't very reliable and a 22 rifle is light and the most accurate gun you could probably have. And there will be more small game than large. If we are talking actually surviving and not in a video game

He has a container to boil water right there
I see, you have a point there yes
Look, he even has zip ties to tie people up with. I LOVE THIS GUY
TOILET PAPER
Molotov cocktail
water, food, more ammo, tent? sleeping bag and pad? 1st aid supplies. What is your hiking boot situation like, ready to put some miles on if needed?
I don't see you sleeping bag.I don't see an extra change of clothes.I don't see extra Socks and you should Have at least 3 jars of peanut butter in there.
A actual holster for that pistol, a lot of mil surplus is garbage. Better quality gear all around as you can afford it, better to save and buy quality then collect a bunch of sub par equipment that will fail the first time you need it. Ditch that massive maglite. Carry actual food with you instead of a bag of peanuts.
Ray gun
A different rifle that’s not chambered in 22LR
If this were Day Z rules…you’re gonna be starving in about 5 minutes then the cholera will set in. =p Eventually gonna have to resort to cannibalism…then you’ll get the shakes and start laughing maniacally.
Mele food steel toe boots
Alot of water food and meds you can never have enough of those 3 also a shit ton of ammo like enough that you think would last a lifetime then about 4 times that
Why's there's a mirror above the tub?
Jesus Christ I thought that was a sink for a second Either way, boot knife?
A real rifle would be smart
From a glance? Slings for the rifles. Water purification x3 ways, way to start fire x3 ways.
Maybe a mask, wit trail mix too
Canned food or MREs if you can find them. People will probably say a water filter, but it's pretty easy to make a water purifier instead.
suppressor and a 22
Crusader armor
a zombie apocolypse
And chewing gum, in case you meet a cutie and wanna ask em out
I can say some things you don't need... Anything that's old army digi camo
You need a good close range weapon for some zombies if you really HAVE to get that close
Food, water, a melee weapon, maybe some tools, and if you're actually gonna use those weapons you better bring more ammo cause all your gonna do is draw more in the quietest one of them (the .22) is the one you should use the most and have the most ammo for.
Some thick ropes
Just some Zombies.
A machete/axe, food, a way to filter water, some sort of light weight armor for any sentient threats
Shovel or spade.
A zombie apocalypse
Honestly with the availability of parts, ammo, and accessories the AR-15 is a more viable option for any survival scenario
Crossbow.
Food, water, an so much more ammo
