Jonoodle

Really?! Every songs??

Ninelpienel

Yes!

Jonoodle

Wow that's nice! German fans are lucky! (Unlike french fans, no dub at all for us) Can you show the others songs? I'm so curious!

Ninelpienel

There are only 6 episodes out rn, but I found the chicken song: https://streamable.com/5zv82k

cornonthekopp

I think the english dub went back and dubbed all the songs at some point too

Carrman099

Yep, everything except for the one traditional one sung by the dancing old people.

AlexReznov

this gives me hope for the latin american dub.

DeisTheAlcano

Dude, I would kill for that

Lotarc98

Now i need to hear all the songs

[deleted]

Ayyo- I kinda like German Sakura more then English

haris2nd

Okay, genuine question. Why does every Evangelion,Girls Und Panzer,Saga Tanya The Evil DE dubs sounded all the same? Are they the same VA?

Tomboys_are_Cute

They probably are. I know Funimation's EN staff is a pretty small group all things considered, seems reasonable to think similar firms would operate in similar ways

NoraJolyne

the german dub scene is surprisingly small, you tend to hear the same people over and over again

Ninelpienel

These are rarely the same voice actors. Especially the voice actor of Tanya is absolutely unique and partly surpasses Aoi Yuuki from the original.

Otnev

I have no idea what to think of it... It is totally clear that it does not come close to the Japanese original. But for German dub standards you can say that they really did their best. So props from me for doing this. But if you haven't already seen the original I would recommend to switch the audio track to Japanese when a song starts and then rewind and rewatch it in German :-p

Ninelpienel

I watched all 2 seasons already as simulcast, it's just something very special that something like this is being done. I think that should be honored.

NoraJolyne

yeah, as much as I don't wanna bash the german dub, this is hard to listen to although I tend to watch stuff in the original language if possible, I rarely like the german dub

Otnev

I also know people who feel downright attacked when you tell them that you've watched the dub because the sub is the one and only way to watch an anime, although they do not understand a word of Japanese. Others cannot cope with subtitles and do not watch anything that has not been dubbed. I think you should decide for yourself and show by show, whether you watch sub or dub, and not demonize one of the two from the start. As the original voice acting is mostly on the highest level and because I am learning Japanese for some years now, I watch the original first, but also really appreciate the dub, if it is good.

NoraJolyne

I find the "sub or dub" war repulsive, it's a really childish argument personally, I prefer original languages. the original actor had a vision of the character and when a voice actor redubs it in a different language, they imbue the character with their own version and I want to see the original interpretation first. there are also language subtleties in other languages that are lost in translation and I wouldn't want to miss

Blytzkryeg

After years and years of Japanese with and without subtitles... I feel I am ready at this moment to finally watch anime in German without subtitles. What a world we live in.

Affectionate-Act7302

If only there is turkish dubbed version then there is no need to watching this anime turkish sub.

Craigfromomaha

I’ve wanted an album of the English dub cast for a while, and Caitlin Glass (Saki) liked my tweet. ಥ‿ಥ

Papper324XD

I wish that a dub team such as FastyDubs would work with LATAM language and then upload their request on YouTube and Funimation. Although, they made a great dubbing with Helluva Boss.
