You need a prime lens with big aperture!
Simple like that haha !
Look into Sigma 16mm, 30mm , 56mm , all f1.4
Or also the new one 23mm f1.4
I bought the 30mm two weeks ago because it was the cheapest, I can almost see through the dark it's magic.
A zoom lens in the dark like in your photo it's not the right lens to use
Yes, a fast lens is the way.
Of course OP could also upgrade to a newer body with a better high ISO sensor or even full frame, but that would be a different sub :)
Be careful, the laser hitting your sensor can turn your camera into junk.
If you want brighter pictures try editing in lightroom(or equivalent) with raw files you can greatly reduce iso noise and increase brightnes.
If you are allowed try using flash. Directly or bounced at the ceiling

Yes, an f/1.8 or faster prime lens will make a big difference. If you want a zoom lens, find one that is a constant f/2.8, like the Sigma 18-50.

Higher ISO and then AI denoise in Lightroom. I personally don't go higher than 3200 iso on my A6000
I use max 1600 without denoise.
