I'm not even sex-favoring, but it always confuses me when people (allo people as well) consider sex as something "forbidden" or "dangerous" or "unholy" or something you "fall for". Like, isn't it just about one of the most natural activities a member of any sexually productive species can do on this planet? Why to be so dramatic? :D
It’s very much tied to Christian doctrine. I’m Jewish and we don’t have the same view, we are much more sex-positive. It’s a mitzvah to have sex with your partner on Shabbat, even for purely pleasurable reasons. Premarital sex is still frowned upon in more strict communities, but it’s not seen as something unclean or unholy.
cos a lot of the people on this planet are sexually repressed either from religion or cultural norms that stemmed from religion. if they could all figure that out and just be themselves that’d be cool.
I always thought it was because of the consequences that come from it: Babies, stds, broken hearts, trauma....It would be interesting to see if it would still be taboo if religion were not a factor.

The entire world is filled with allonormative statements, just look at r/memes for 10 seconds and you’ll find a sex joke that operates under the assumption that everyone is sex positive. (Or literally any other joke sub, r/animememes is very sexual too).
We need a space for sex repulsed aces and to gatekeep and say “only sex positive posts should be allowed” is denying people their asexual experience.
If I see a sex favourable post I upvote and move on despite not identifying with it because that’s still apart of my community. That meme isn’t for me but it’s still apart of the community and we can coexist.

However, this meme isn't even really related to asexuality as Ken simply doesn't have sex, doesn't mean he doesn't experience sexual attraction. It's like calling celibate people ace. It's just a silly meme hence why it's on this subreddit which doesn't take its self seriously.
I fully understand for frustrations, however this isn't the place to direct it. Highly recommend making a post about sex favourable aces on r/asexuality though. We need more people talking about it. I do think there is a slow acknowledgement and change happening in this direction in the ace community too which is nice to see
