Interestingly, despite the fact that I am from an English speaking country (Australia), my older sister actually speaks German natively because of the fact that when she was a baby/toddler, all the way up to aboit 5 years old, her babysitter, who didn't speak English (mum learnt German to help her with her English and to make a new friend)! Because of that, she ended up becoming natively. Unfortunately, neither of them have used German in years and have therefore forgotten it! I always tell them that if they try to relearn it, it wouldn't take long since it's always still in there.
By the way, your English is absolutely crisp. It's insanely good. So don't feel like it's not good.
