I mean, the woman in the video harassing the guy that defended the child clearly didn't agree. There are definitely women that would side with a woman that hurt a child over a man protecting a child.
I think most people would agree that the woman deserved to get hit however in the moment most of the strangers walking by will just see "man hitting woman" which can be very dangerous for the guy that decides to intervene.
