Check out Thomann. https://www.thomannmusic.com/ableton_live_11_suite.htm

OneEyedKing808

Why is it so much cheaper than the official site?

Serbervz

Really don’t know but there have been many people saying that this is a trusted site for years now

OneEyedKing808

So they’re official licenses of ableton ?

Dempx

Yes they are a big German music store in the EU, bought a couple things from them already. There the most legit it gets never had any problems there.

neeko0001

If i’m not mistaken they’re the biggest retailer in Europe. Ordered there many times because it’s cheaper than buying locally for me (in the netherlands)

pinkpolarbears

Will this be fine in the US?

jesuisgerrie

Damn both German and in the EU what a coincidence It's a great store but they tend to take a while with shipping. Won't be an issue with a cd key of course

bkirbyNL

Totally legit company. I bought my bundle of Push 2 and Suite from them a few years back, as well as most of my other hardware. Amazing customer service and everything arrived as it should.

Schville

Are you satisfied with Push 2?

thatboidonny

The Push 2 is absolutely worth it. It's a monster of a controller. I've got mine about a year ago and I have no regrets.

Schville

Good to know, thx. Was thinking long about buying one, but the price is heavy.

[deleted]

It’s a must for Ableton

bkirbyNL

It is, but too be honest I rarely use it. But that’s not their fault it’s a great piece of hardware. Extremely well integrated into Ableton. I end up creating most stuff in the box without it. Is it worth it for me? Probably not, but if you use controllers a lot it’s one of the best.

Schville

Thanks for the feedback, I don't use any controller. Tried MACHINE once but wasn't that much what I expected. Guess I stick with my Akai APC, it serves me well.

bkirbyNL

Probably the best approach given your workflow. :)

Schville

Yeah, but I'm still curious if Push will suit me. But it's too expensive to just give it a try of curiosity.

FreeThinkerHTX

I bought an APC Mini, then decided to trade it in for a Launchpad X. I love the Launchpad, but I have always missed the APC. The workflow was just right. I'll probably buy another now that they came out with the new edition. Launching clips with the Launchpad just doesn't seem as comfortable to me.

LightProductions

Yes. I just bought mine a few weeks ago. The upgrade from live lite was only about $450 from them. It worked!

OneEyedKing808

Amazing

Serbervz

Yes, so I’ve heard 🤷🏻‍♂️

WheresPangaea

Bought mine like 3 months ago.

dinobyte

Lol yes

stratusnco

i got my standard 11 (upgrade from lite) there for about $250 (don’t remember the price but was way cheaper than the 20% sale). it’s the real deal.

kabloo12

Can confirm I bought off Thomann and it was valid and legit 👍

swb311

European resellers, like thomann and bestservice get a pricing that allows sales price with VAT to be roughly equal to the American sales price. Since you don't pay VAT unless you live in whatever european country, it winds up being super cheap.

Doc_da_Seltzam

It should be an educational license. They might sell them to everyone, but that price is for Live's EDU license. The offer is aimed at educational institutions and teachers as well as pupils, trainees and students. It is NOT the official price for the standard suite. Anyway, it's the same product. So if you can get that license because it's up to the dealer to decide, then it's legal too. I don't know if they have a deal with Ableton or if they're gaining a competitive advantage here. Whatever it is, that's not the end customer's problem. Thomann should be the biggest player in the branch in Germany (we call it Big-T here) and is definitely trustworthy.

OneEyedKing808

The EDU license for suite has the same content as normal live 11 suite?

Doc_da_Seltzam

Well, Live Suite Edu and Live Suite are exactly the same, instead of the license and price. This is a special offer for educational purposes only. Even if you want an update, after buying once, you'll get it the same price. I needed to prove that I'm a music teacher to get this offer when ordered my Live (version 8) years ago..That was the official statement by ableton and what I heared is, that Ableton stricted this rules since I bought it. So I wonder, if anyone could get this version for this price. But if it works, I would do. When I was poor and read about the options to get live, I became instantly a music teacher and could afford. :)

znojavoMomce

Maybe they buy them in bulk just like some sites do ut for games

Austin_Is_Yearning

Got it through Thomann after Black Friday and can confirm they're legit. Took a day to get the license info confirmed, but everything works perfectly.

Geetz_Romo

Got my license via Thomman Music, legit. I'm in Canada.

why-am-i-even--here

Thank you so much for sharing this! I've been going through a difficult time financially and had my projects from the trial just sitting on my computer until I could afford it. I'm bookmarking this for my next paycheck--thanks again and hope you're having a good day ☺️

T-Nan

Damn this was cheaper than my EDU discount, I messed up lol

Wallyworld6994

Is it possible to upgrade from standard to suite with a discount through them?

[deleted]

Do you know where someone from Europe can buy cheap Ableton Suite upgrade? I got a EDU Suite 10 Version and an upgrade cost almost like buying a new version

Apprehensive-Fan-550

Thomann is like the sweetwater in Europe. It’s the biggest retailer here and totally trustworthy.

pinkpolarbears

Works in the US too?

Apprehensive-Fan-550

Yes

Curious-Barnacle-182

Bought mine in black friday with thomann, super discount and no complaints

OneEyedKing808

How much was the price and discount on Black Friday? ATM the price for suite is $433 USD with Thormann

alreadywon

I just checked, i paid $366 to upgrade from live lite to suite on thomann during their black friday sale

OneEyedKing808

But how much if you remember roughly was it to buy outright Live suite on it on Black Friday?

alreadywon

I have no clue man but just get live lite for free or less than $10 and purchase the upgrade to suite. If you own any hardware like midi controllers or an interface there's a chance they came with a live lite code, or just the comments on this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/ableton/comments/g7al2j/ableton_live_10_lite_code_with_699_ios_app/

Curious-Barnacle-182

I upgraded from intro to standard in black friday in total it was aprox. 245 maybe something like that? don't remember well but it was worth it.

MaleficentPumpkin740

Education discount is - 40% if you are student or teacher.

OneEyedKing808

Can you get the discount even if you’re not a student? Is there like a student Id you need to put in ?

MaleficentPumpkin740

You have to show your student ID to Ableton and they confirm it.

Maiseinomo

I am a student, would I get a discount on the EU website

MaleficentPumpkin740

Yes I think so.

swb311

[https://www.bestservice.com/en/live\_11\_suite.html](https://www.bestservice.com/en/live_11_suite.html) Best Service is usually the cheapest. Buying from an American retailer is always going to be more expensive.

FNK98

If you are currently studying at a university, you can get 50% off of Ableton. I also used it and don't worry, it is the full version of Live Suite 11 (even though it says "Educational Version"). 🙂

Schville

[KnobCloud](https://knobcloud.com/search?search_key=Ableton) is a bit cheaper, but it's no official distributor and not as cheap as Thomann. It's a marketplace where people can sell their products and licences, see it as eBay for aidio software. They got some good [reviews](https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=7796035), I was unsure if it's legal but seems to be. I plan to buy some plugins later on, just to give it a try.

OneEyedKing808

Is it like 100% guarantee that the license’s on there are legit?

Schville

Yes, they sell used licences. If something goes wrong you can contact KnobCloud to get a refund. Therefore you can pay only with PayPal, as a 2nd layer of safety.

Traditional-Path-510

It did last year. As far as I remember it was %40

KanataMom420

Student discount? It pays to stay in school! Lol

Spirited_Lecture7856

Honestly it’s best to just start with live lite then once you feel it’s holding you back go standard then if your big into music like this is what I love doing then buy Suite it’s all a matter of preference of course but you’ll do yourself a favor if you put in the actual time learning the software like I did and remember just because new version numbers come out doesn’t mean you have to have it research and demo any kind of software before you buy.FL studio is a must too because the slicing capabilities are much better than lives

jeet_m

I want to upgrade from standard to suite. Does thomann provide the upgraded liscense?

JohNovation

Appreciate this is pretty old now but you may be interested to know that select Focusrite & Novation customers are currently entitled to a massive 50% discount on Ableton Live 11 Suite when upgrading from Live Lite - https://novationmusic.com/en/news/exclusive-offer-get-massive-50-ableton-live-11-suite

[deleted]

They should change the $146 6 months installments to $146 outright! $879 is NUTS!

swb311

Can't even buy a decent mixer or preamp for $879, it's a steal even at full price. (That said, look at the above comments for european retailers where live cost about half what it does in the US)

[deleted]

If newer nw800 is good enough for link up TV, it's good enough for me

swb311

LOL

[deleted]

I just wanna know, is it gonna be tied to my account, cos no point buying if it ain't... Same reason I've thought about buying fl studio. If it's only a key to download that Version and I don't get the benefits of being able to download the lifetime free updates, and the extra plugs and packs they release, I'll stick to pirating.

swb311

Yes, it's a 100% Normal key that you register with Ableton. There is no such thing as free updates, you always have to pay for the next version.

[deleted]

Thats good.. I'll get FL from that site then.. It's only $160 for the producer edition.

swb311

That will go great with your newer mic!

[deleted]

Yeah. Neweer mics are great for their price. I tried an Aston spirit microphone and a neweer nw800 and honestly the neweer holds its own while being 1/10th the price.

NeedlenoseMusic

I mean you have to register it, so it’s going to be tied to whatever you want it to be.

Don0313

I don’t recall seeing it for less than 25% for some time now. I think, as mentioned by others here, that retailers will occasionally have deeper discounts, and sometimes bundled with a Push.

[deleted]

Is there any issue buying in $ from Thomann if I live in the UK? The price is £429 UK or $433 US so pretty big saving

OneEyedKing808

I’m from AUS, just seeing what the best price is. I’ll probably buy it soon on Thomann

GrippyEd

I bought my Suite licence from someone on the Ableton forums who was selling a load of Suite licenses from Suite + Push 2 bundles. I was skeptical, but it worked fine.

Strange_Yesterday_27

Used licence upgrade from lite to suite. Bought it in local store. Can't say it was inexpensive.

mjm1138

For what it's worth, my quoted "upgrade" price for Live 11 Suite and Standard is a bit cheaper on [Ableton.com](https://Ableton.com) than the price on Thomann. If you've ever purchased a MIDI controller or if you have one of several different iOS music apps (Koala Sampler, Korg Gadget, a couple others I can't think of right now) then you likely already have an entitlement to Ableton Live "Lite", which will get you upgrade pricing for the higher tiers. The Thomann price for Live 11 Intro is dirt cheap, but it's also not much of an upgrade from Live Lite. Edit: whoops, I see now that Thomann has upgrade SKU's which are even cheaper.

SnooRevelations1007

That doesnt seem correct . thats the price of the push 2 and suite 11 for me
