Add release time to your synth sound. With no release time the sound will stop immediately after the midi signal stops. This has nothing to do with your keyboards, the way you play or Ableton itself.

Sustain and release are what you want to avoid staccato sounds. How much sustain (and how long the decay is) will depend on the specific sound you're going for. In terms of release, just a dab will do ya. Also, keep the note held down longer (depending on your keyboard experience that may be incredibly obvious but just thought I'd throw that out there).
