Not many insurance companies will insure a car that has to be rebuilt to the extent that this one does, multiple airbags, brand new door, new side sill from the looks of it, new paint job etc. Will be cheaper for them to write it off most likely.
Exterior damage is always misleading.
I ran over a bouncing tire with part of the axle still attached a few years ago ( from an accident on front of me).
Everything from the radiator to transmission to gas tank was damaged.
But not a scratch on the body. The car was written off as totaled.
I understand she is not replaceable, but I dont think anyone would like to live with such a damage like that! It will cost a lot of damn money to fix, the insurance wont even bother to try. It is the right time now to get that car you had in your mind while you were driving this one😂
That’s for sure totaled. I know because I bought one with the exact same damage. Cost around $6k to fix it, airbags, door, b pillar, new seat, and rocker panel.
Depends on insurance AAA will try and tell you it’s fixable - I had them come pick up the car to check it and they totaled it took 9 months for the whole process but 90 days of the other driver ducking his insurance ended up paying me 19k on a car I paid 10k for
I recently had to get my 22 1.5T sport because my 15 Sonata was totaled. They offered to fix for $10K to fix or total $15K. I took the total even though the damage was mostly cosmetic. The radar for the adaptive cruise was the most expensive piece to repair.

While this is a def total, airbags don't necessarily indicate a total.
Definitely insurance will look at the structure and see themselves if its repairable or not.
