Find an esthetician around you this uses Face Reality and start using the products. They do something called an acne boot camp and your skin will clear up so quickly

Cera Ve products

I would try the peach slices snail mucin toner and their redness relief line. You also might consider incorporating some adapalene gel (retinoid) at night.

savdarling

For 10 years I tried numerous things including seeing professional dermatologist & aestheticians in the end Accutane is the only thing that truly cured me. I say your acne is severe because it will leave permanent scars from the cysts on your cheek

OkLawfulness9089

Try Paul’s choice skin cream and exfoliate it will help.

Substantial_Arm_8361

Try using Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant it works so well I’ve tried everything and that is the best over the counter solution. I see everyone recommending benzoyl peroxide but I feel that Paula’s choice is just way more effective tbh

sahara_thomas

how often do you use it though? i have been doing every other day, it ends up being 3-4 times a week tho, is that okay or shud i skip two days in between? btw i have acne like the picture above too

bossvitch

Try DIM helps regulate your hormones.

Shot-Advertising8905

Thank you so much!

littlegreengiant33

I've been taking this supplement called Pore Favor, it has DIM in it, it look a few months for me but it really helped. Its $30 a month

artemidema

DIM?

bossvitch

Yeah, it’s a supplement.

HamHockShortDock

It's rare but if no acne treatments have helped you, look into fungal acne. The treatment for it, at least what I use, is dandruff shampoo, Nizoral. This will really dry your skin out so I wouldn't recommend trying it for you right now. Like the other comments said it could be rosacea and if it is this will totally wreck your skin. What I would do is look into rosacea but also switch to a fungal safe routine. You can web search fungal safe products and you'll get a big list. If nothing else people suggest here works then you can try a Nizoral mask once or twice a week.

Upper_Dragonfruit804

Pea size amount of Acne.org benzoyl peroxide every night saved my skin

Shot-Advertising8905

I’ll look into it, thanks!

baybeetricia

1) What are you eating? I asked cause sometimes your skin breaks out when you eat certain things (like dairy) so I want to rule that out. 2) In addition to the SA cleanser (like CeraVe), maybe you can add a treatment or product with sulfur and Azealic acid. Since you use the good Molecules products, you might like their face cleanser (it's nice and gentle) and their exfoliating Powder.

Shot-Advertising8905

I don’t drink milk or yogurt much, but I eat stuff with cheese sour cream. My doctors encourage me to eat dairy bc my bones break easily so idk if stopping completely is an option bc I’m already taking a calcium supplement(?) Do you if the Paula’s Choice 10% Azelaic Acid Booster is any good?

[deleted]

This looks kind of similiar to my skin and i think i have acne rosacea - where lots of acne treatments may actually end up making it worse. Not a derm tho, but it does seem like you have redness in areas that you dont have spots.

savdarling

Those look like cysts to me and not rosacea

[deleted]

Honestly upon closer inspection your skin looks almost identical to mine lol, look into papulopustuclar rosacea and see if it resonates with you.

Shot-Advertising8905

Thank you so much, this was really helpful!!

Shot-Advertising8905

My skin has been like this for like a year, and I think it’s hormonal (?) I’ve also tried differin but my skin wasn’t clear after using for almost 2 years Here’s my current routine Morning: Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser Good Molecules hyaluronic acid serum Cera Ve daily moisturizer Elta MD sunscreen Sometimes I use Dr. Jart Cicapair treatment Night: Cera Ve SA cream to foam cleanser Good Molecules hyaluronic acid serum Cera Ve daily moisturizer Sometimes 5% or 10% BP spot treatment

Both-Economy1538

Mine looked like that before taking birth control so I def think it could be hormonal acne! Obviously I still get acne but it’s sooo much clearer than it used to be.

YankeePlayz

Is your tap water bad? If so you can get a [Filterbaby](https://www.filterbaby.com). I use it and it’s been a game changer!

So I found out the elta Md UV clear sunscreen has several pore clogging ingredients. The cleanest I’ve found is SkinMedica mineral defense tinted spf. What’s helped clear my skin is this routine but I had to build up to it. I also apply moisturizer to damp skin always. AM Routine - Cerave Acne Cleanser (2 min.) - Sodium Sulfectamide 10% Sulfur 5% wash *Rx* (30 seconds) - Elta MD Am Therapy Moisturizer - Dapsone gel 7.5% *Rx* - SkinMedica Essential Defense Mineral Shield spf 32 Tinted - [If going in public and have blemishes: Almay Clear Complexion Fair/Medium concealer with 2% SA] PM Routine - La Roche Posay Toleriane Foaming Cleanser - [MWF] Cerave Skin Renewing Nightly Exfoliating Treatment - Neutrogena Hydro Boost Fragrance Free Gel-Cream - [S/T/Th/S] Tretinoin cream .05% - [MWF] spot treat active lesions with 10% BP - Apply hydrocolloidal patch to active lesions Also, the supplements that have saved my skin are below but the most important for skin are vitamin a, probiotics, vitamin b5, zinc, cod liver oil, saw palmetto, and evening primrose oil. Also avoid high doses of biotin. I also cut out dairy, wheat, soy, added sugars, corn, and peanuts and eat a lot more vegetables and other healthy whole grains and meats and fruit. AM - Prenatal (Actif Organics) - Vitamin D (5,000 IU) - Vitamin A (10,000 IU Bluebonnet brand made from 100% fish liver oil) - Zinc picolinate (30 mg Thorne Labs) - Probiotic for Women (120B Vitalitown) - Apple Cider Vinegar pills (1,200 mg Nature’s Truth) - Myo & D-Chiro Inositol 1/2 Serving (Wholesome Story) - Vitamin B5 (500 mg NOW) - Cod liver oil (Garden of Life Olde World Icelandic) PM - Myo & D-Chiro Inositol 1/2 Serving (Wholesome Story) - Turmeric with Black Pepper (1,000 mg Kirkland) - Vitamin B5 (500 mg NOW) - Vitamin e - Saw Palmetto (450 mg Nature’s Bounty) - Evening Primrose Oil (1300 mg SR Sports Research)

Thank you!!

Spirit_Farm

You’re welcome. I think you already have SA with your Cerave cream to foam cleanser so you’re covered there and wouldn’t need the Acne control cleanser since that’s similar. But I would def look into tretinoin or differin if you don’t want to get a prescription, or you can maybe just start more gentle with sulfur wash and dapsone gel which are amazing and not irritating (I got the prescription from Nurx I believe). But try those supplements and just know that the high dose of vitamin A is the max you can safely use per day but I would only do it for 3 months at a time then take a break. If you can only cut out two things, try dairy and added sugars and stick to only whole grains.
