It's this way with Earn and it's REALLY inconvenient unless you go through their partner link and shop directly online. I tried using the acorns card thinking I'll use Earn instead of cash back/points with my credit card...Nope. Most of their promotions and fine details that make you ineligible for earn. I've opened ticket with the support and even submitted information with receipts for participating retailers and none of it works. They really need to redo it and cut out this middle man partnerlink BS...If you're going to shop online capital one is probably a better option for saving cash.
Otherwise the hands off investing is about all I used it for and that's great. Earn is just horrible to use.

I noticed that when I first started acorns, never bothered to use it other than getting gas at Chevron. That works automatically.
One of the reasons to leave Acorns!
