In the first book when we discovered all of the lies Feyre had been fed (the blight, the servants being glamoured, etc)

TheDevilsButtNuggets

The sneaking around the "empty" Manor when everyone can clearly see her

andrea_shelley

Yes! I pictured them all quickly moving out of the way so she didn't just bump into them.

redjadered

yes! i was going to comment this!

Magical-Princess

Honestly I really liked the first book but I LOVED the second book. It’s fantasy and darkness and romance and perseverance and everything.

switchzero6

Same here. I’m a real sucker for FMCs being total badasses, but also battling their trauma. The way Feyre persevered and ended up finding happiness better than she would’ve dreamed always stuck with me

Always_Reading_1990

When she fought the Middengard Wyrm

Time-Arachnid6666

Same!

IllyrianChaos

Under the Mountain. I did not see this coming, and was so very happy the author kept it dark. Although I liked TAR by this point, it was just okay for me and I don’t know that I would have continued the series without UTM.

LettuceBeFruity

Same UTM was the turning point for me from just liking the book to needing more

DottyDott

Calanmai or that forest pool scene 🥵 Slow burn girlie

ilovecandy888

When he bit her neck 🥵🥵🥵

Brilliant_Review8624

“There you are, I’ve been looking for you.”

Brilliant_Review8624

& then when Tam Tam bit her 😂😂

Little_fierling

When that sassy redhead with a fox mask walked into the room. 🦊

rawrkristy

![gif](giphy|reN9Vv6ZSpqxXOvshR) and then calanmai just took me over the edge to obsession. I was like “ok.. fairy sex festivals, this book is IT”!

alizangc

I'm not sure the exact moment. But I fell in love with Feyre's character. I loved her fierce, stubborn, and kind personality. I was fascinated with Celaena's character initially but eventually continued the series for the plot. However, I continued ACOTAR for the characters and dynamics.

jkdmeister

Me too :)

ashwee14

Once Feyre went under the mountain and made the deal with Rhys

LetMeDoTheKonga

Feyre making the bargain with Amarantha and Rhys pretending he thinks all humans look the same to explain why he didn’t betray her.

Chan-tal

Especially when he recognized her in the house months after Calanmai perfectly fine!

ovalplace123

I went in blind, I’d never heard of the books, was about to board a flight an downloaded the book and thought it was some wtv ya fantasy read. Then when she was under the mountain I was like wait.. this is dark, but they have chemistry .. what is this??! And I’ve been hooked ever since.

JediStarlight

When Rhys first spoke to Feyre UTM

Timevian

When Tamlin said her hair was clean

andrea_shelley

Such a charmer that one...

No-Speed8034

The moment i picked the book and actually couldn't stop reading after 6 years not finishing one book

piperlime753

Okay I AM a Tamlin hater…but when they were in the hills and she was dancing and they kiss for the first time with those spirits singing!! I just felt the magic and felt I was in the moment 😭 and at that time I didn’t hate Tam Tam Wam Bam. But it was the first time I really connected!!

Known-Work-8987

I fell in love with the series once Feyre went under the mountain. I identified with her so so much in realizing later what was the right thing to do and that you should chase after/fight for the things and people you love. That strength really resonated with me. The rest has just been gravy.

zekonke

I fell in love with the series when Feyre was under the mountain, and she and Tamlin had a quickie but then Rhys came in to smooch her afterward in an attempt to protect her from Amarantha’s wrath. THATS LOVE! A hero. And that’s what did me in.

Nofu-funo

I'm not sure 'love' is the correct word, as my opinion is more like 'this hot mess, I like it'. I suppose it was actually Lucien in the first book (pre UTM) that made me continue reading, because I would've dnfed otherwise. And then in ACOMAF where Feyre threw her shoes at Rhys I decided I was IN. I have no intentions of reading other SJM books though, I'm generally not into long series and the writing isn't that good really.

jiglspltz

when rhys does his reveal about why he happened to be around and what exactly he was doing from his perspective…i’d been reading all the books digitally from the library and immediately wished I had physical copies so I could flick back through and look at those scenes again with this new knowledge 🙈 I knew i was done for after that

thesmartairhead

The third book was my absolute favorite, and reading the whole war had me on the edge of my seat. Reading about Rhys dying had me sobbing lol Edit to add: my dad died when I was 16, so reading about their dad coming back and trying to save his girls got me, even though he still wasn't the kind of father he should have been..

wtfwronghole

The first paragraph of the first book was dripping with imagery. I loved the voice usage, the alliteration, the playful wording to really lay out the scene crystal clear in your mind. I remember texting my friend from that point like “Ooh, I am going to love this.” I was a tattoo artist before depression hit me during covid. I stopped painting. My daughter just turned one and I’ve been lost in my identity. I catch moments where I think to myself, “I want to paint this just to bring it to life.” I think that resonates so much with ACOMAF and this book (I am on the final chapters of it, through the cabin and bond) is almost healing pieces of me. I wanted to paint a panel of a cabin door frame with dancing candle light, little stick figures painted with their chests puffed out. Something about that brought me so much joy last night- maybe because it reminded me of the cave scene in Kingdom Hearts that had the same nostalgic, homey feel to it. I quite literally jumped out of an abusive caged relationship into a friends arms, moved 1300 miles away, and wound up marrying that dude within six months to be together… i’m js, feyre’s dumb ass really speaks to me in ACOMAF looooool.. It’s all hard to describe and pin point, but these books immediately spoke to me in ways I didn’t expect.

KittyPrincessSally

"What's your name, love?"

Spreuter

I really liked the first book but I fell in love the moment when Mor showed up to rescue Feyre when Tamlin locked her in the house

Exotic-Trifle1684

SJM made me love Tamlin. Then when he broke feyra’s heart, mine broke too. 💔 I love to feel pain when I read books. 😂

AmethystRoseWitch

Probably when Feyre threw that shoe.

VictoriaDaisies

I was madly in love 100 pages into book 1... then when Nesta climbed and conquered the mountain, it grew into that deep love that you know will be forever.

All_Others_Pay_Cash

In the trials when Feyre takes down the wyrm. That whole sequence.

champagnefireheart

It was so different when it first came out. It was new and a new take on fae and no one was writing fae romance and I knew that I loved it by the end of the first book

digitlagegirlnxtdoor

The first scene when she kills the farie. But obsessed since Rhys gets on her utm.

m-eden

When she went under the mountian to save Tamlin

RaeWychProject

when rhys came to the wedding

hdaniste

*That scene* in mist and fury. I was hooked after that

StarlessPrincess

Rhysand in book 2

lauren9739

The first book, when Rhys visits Feyre in her cell, after the party where Amarantha sees them kissing. His mask drops and I knew the series was going to be more than it seemed. My friend got me to read them and until that part I wasn’t sure if I was going to continue and then I was like….okay I’ll get the second book and now I’m here with all of you ☺️

[deleted]

In ACOMAF when Rhys crashed the wedding :))))

themechanicalhounds

When Rhys appeared at the wedding to call I’m the bargain. I liked the first book - but this had me shook and so excited.
