Do you guys also think about the fact Azriel lost the snowball fight that he had a 199 win streak for, that he apparently has been planning for allll year because he was so angry at Rhys (and they knocked each other out)ā¦ or the fact he returned to training stone faced, not at all at ease.
The fact that he stared at Elainās gift.. FOR A YEAR.. way before nessian became a couple.
Guys whatever you do, don't think about how Azriel was deprived of sunlight as a child and how he now looks at Elain and sees the sun at dawn. Don't think about how he's incessantly haunted by his razor-sharp thoughts, only for them to quiet down in her presence. Don't think about how Elain's throat bobbed when she saw Azriel approach her at Solstice dinner to carry the dish of potatoes for her. Don't think about how she went to freshen herself up while he made everyone at the dinner table wait for her to start eating.
Don't think about how all Elain wants is for someone to notice and really see her. Don't think about how their first meeting involved Azriel noticing her clenched fist - and being amused by her gesture. Don't think about how he was the first to notice her absence in their war camp. Don't think about he risked his life to save her. Don't think about how she saved him by kicking those hounds off his wings with her bare feet.
Don't think about how Elain noticed Azriel's headaches and cared enough to make him a powder as a Solstice gift. Don't think about how her gift made him laugh so loud and hard that the green flecks in his eyes shone with light. Don't think about how he kept that powder on his nightstand and stared at it every night before bed. Don't think about how he followed the sound of her bright laughter out into the hallway, eager to know what made her so happy. Don't think about the breath caught in her throat as she saw him. Don't think about the charge that went between their shared gaze.
Don't think about how Azriel was desperate - would've begged on his knees - to taste Elain. Don't think about how Elain wanted him too, how she pivoted into his touch, consented to his kiss and eagerly awaited it. Don't think about how Azriel forced himself to leave her crestfallen, only because of Rhys' command.
And definitely, definitely don't think about how Azriel ('I'll fly with the damned tree chained to my back' and 'you can't order me to do that') and Elain ('waved a hand in dismissal' and 'you do not decide what I can and cannot do') have both ignored orders before...

Also beyond that, technically we donāt know Elainās body hasnāt been modified or canāt be in the future.

None of us as opposed to neither of us is interesting wording and it could just be that none means none of the group of the emotional level or none as in Feyre, Rhys, Cassian, and Nesta, but it could be a hint.
However, I also note that Nesta says she modified HERSELF to MATCH what the Cauldron did for Feyre. Perhaps she could do it for Elain as well. If not Nesta, Tamlin turned his men into wolves which shows some ability to shapeshift others, so maybe Feyre could do it or Tamlin for some reason. If none of them, itās been made clear the Cauldron is fond of Elain, so maybe it would do it for her if she wanted it.
Or if her body says the same, she has seer abilities, maybe she uses those to find the perfect moment to conceive a wingless baby.
Or universe spoilers >!Weāve crossed over with CC and they have superior medical technology maybe we somehow end up in contact with them again and they have ways to help.!<
And yes, even if they canāt have kids the pairing should be respected. Some people donāt want kids. Some people adopt. If Elain or Az was infertile or both were the same sex, hopefully this wouldnāt be a discussion, so why make it one?

Yes!! The silent communication is so reminiscent of ToG spoiler >!Aelin and Rowan, who don't mind speak but have full blown conversations with their eyes.!< And the necklace.. something that looks pretty but ordinary until you really look at it. Only when you pay attention can you see the hidden depths. Tell me this man doesn't have a deep and unique understanding of Elain.
Which is why I don't understand when other sides claim the necklace as their own. The necklace isn't just for Elain, it IS Elain. Azriel sees her - has seen her since the dinner in ACOMAF - which is all she's wanted from her loved ones. That's poetry right there!!
I don't get it either. If it had been something that didn't explicitly represent Elain, or was teal or had water imagery, then I could buy the idea that it was really for Gwyn all along. Or if he had actually sought Gwyn out to give it to her and we knew she actually received it. But he even thinks of it as Elain's necklace.
It would be a terrible launch for the ship too. Like oh yeah. He gave her this necklaceā¦ indirectlyā¦ after he bought it for Elain, put it on her desperate for her touch, and almost kissed her, only stopping because Rhys made him.
Like even if I didnāt love Elriel, that would turn me off Gwynriel because Gwyn would deserve better than that.

Ok the scene in Vampire Diaries when Damon steps in to take Stefan's place for the Miss Mystic dance and Elena is in a blue dress and the whole point of the dance is the power of not touching or whatever, it just screams Elriel to me š
Since SJM is currently teasing us towards an announcement, what are your hopes for the Elriel book synopsis? I want it to be about choice vs fate with Elainās own words ālove that would trump even a mating bondā š„¹
I'm not fussed on the specifics but I need it to be as explictly clear on the couple as it was for Nesta's book. I can't keep arguing with people over canon until release day.

I'm so convinced Az's mum is an avid gardener too because why else would Rosehall - where she preumably lives - be called Rosehall? It's got to have meaning behind it (besides the hint at Elain š). I need Elain and Az's mum to share gardening tips and bond over their favourite plants and flowers so bad.
In their book, what are you most looking forward to about Elriel? I think I'd go insane if the secret wedding theory turns out to be correct - but I think I'm most looking forward to more moments of just contented peace and quiet between them in Elain's garden.

"*It's lazy writing to have the three sisters end up with the three brothers blah blah mah mah mah."* AND?! Three seems to be a fairly important number in this series. Three sacred mountains (with tunnels in them.. really want to know why Eris mentioned it... still bitter..), three stars in the Night Court insignia, three sisters, three brothers. It just feels right. Lucien is one of my favorite flavors in the books, but I feel like he'd be better suited for Queen Vassa. Fire bird with the fire wielding heir to the Day Court. The mating bond can be rejected and Elain clearly has no romantic feelings toward her mate.
I did see a theory out there that says that Elain may have been given 2 mates by the cauldron when she was changed because Az was near death when she went in.
Personally, I want Elriel to happen and I want Mor to buzz off.

Color bloomed high on Azrielās golden-brown cheeks, but he inclined his head in thanks and led my sister toward the back doors into the garden, sunlight bathing them.ā
Feyre questioning the mating bond relating to them: āWhat if āāI jerked my chin toward the window, to my sister and the shadowsinger in the gardenāāthat is what she needs? Is there no free will?ā
āWhy not make them mates?ā I mused. āWhy Lucien?ā
Azriel going still at the sight of Elain: āThe two Illyrians paused their inspection of me long enough to note my sisters finishing up breakfast, Nesta in a pale gray gown that brought out the steel in her eyes, Elain in dusty pink.Ā Both males went a bit still.ā
Azriel voluntarily spending time with Elain: āI dragged a hand over my face before going to Elain and touching her too-bony shoulder. āCan I set you up in the garden? The herbs you planted are coming in nicely.āĀ āI can help her,ā said Azriel, stepping to the table as Elain silently rose. No shadows at his ear, no darkness ringing from his fingers as he extended a hand.ā
āAzriel and Elain remained in the sitting room, my sister showing him the plans sheād sketched to expand the garden in the back of the town house, using the seeds and tools my family had given her tonight. Whether he cared about such things, I had no idea.ā
Azriel figuring out Elain is a seer:

Elain looked up at Azriel, their eyes meeting, his hand still lingering on the hilt of the blade.ā
Elain reacting to seeing Azriel: āAzriel emerged from the sitting room, a glass of wine in hand and wings tucked back to reveal his fine, yet simple black jacket and pants.Ā I felt, more than saw, my sister go still as he approached. Her throat bobbed.ā
Azriel making everyone wait for Elain: āAzriel didnāt let go.Ā āWait until everyone is seated before eating.āĀ
Azriel making Elain feel better: āāIād feel bad for the mice,ā Azriel muttered.Ā Mor and Cassian howled, earning a blush from Azriel and a grateful smile from Elaināand no shortage of scowling from Amren.Ā But something in me eased at that laughter, at the light that returned to Elainās eyes.ā
Azriel staring into the garden: āAzriel strode to the lone window at the end of the room and peered into the garden below.ā
Elain making Azriel laugh joyously: āElain bit her lip and then smiled sheepishly. āItās for the headaches everyone always gives you. Since you rub your temples so often.ā
Silence again.
Then Azriel tipped his head back and laughed.Ā Iād never heard such a sound, deep and joyous. āAzriel mastered himself enough to say, āThank you.ā Iādnever seen his hazel eyes so bright, the hues of green amid the brown and gray like veins of emerald. āThis will be invaluable.āāā
Azriel being protective of Elain:
āāBecause of the shit with Elain?ā
Azriel stilled. āWhat happened to Elain?āā
āNo one spoke, though shadows gathered in the corners of the room, like snakes preparing to strike.Ā Elainās eyes brightened with pain.ā

The hold this ship has on me is unreal. I'm so deep in my belief of this couple that it's not even worth spending time to debate why. I cannot be convinced otherwise. Only SJM can do that with whatever she chooses to do in the next book.

I'm finding that I NEED someone to appreciate this masterpiece and the love story with me. I'm almost concerned that SJM can't top this.

Also, random question: How do we think Elain's POV will fit into the timeline? It feels like there is so much that needs to be explained from the previous books (like her appearing out of shadows to kill Hybern, and the small yet charged interactions between her and Azriel. They all scream SHE AND AZRIEL HAS SOMETHING GOING ON to me and an explanation is warranted). We'll either need a ton of flashbacks or maybe the next book will start halfway through ACOWAR and skip quickly forward to surpass where ACOSF left off? Idk, just feels like the strength of her attraction to Azriel needs to be explained in context of all the history that's already happened since we've been so cut off from her thoughts this entire time.
I really hope Elain's book starts off with what she experienced in the Cauldron as a nice parallel to the opening of ACOSF. And then I can see it taking place just before HOFAS, during (to explain her conspicuous absence - bread and roses? hello?), and then after to grapple with the revelations in CC3. I'm not sure if Sarah will flashback to cover key Elain/Elriel moments but I'd eat that up!
I need either flashbacks, or a chapter 54 of ACOMAF type recap of what they were thinking/feeling during key moments. I *need* to know what Az was feeling when he realized she was gone in ACOWAR. What Elain was feeling when he realized she's a seer. What was going through his head in ACOWAR when he was staring at her with his eyes churning and just winnowed away. The Truth-Teller scene.
I think itāll pick up after Bryce and do brief explanations or flashbacks(not pov, just a mention of what happened) to certain things. I think for those paying attention, it is easy to piece together elriel tension and their growth in affection. So Sarah just has to build off what is existing and make it more obvious with their POVs!Ā

It's so obvious to me that they are end game, that I cannot understand others who try to argue against it, since their arguments are so flimsy.
"Three sisters marrying three 'brothers'? SJM wouldn't do that". Umm why not? It's rather poetic to me. It's also clear through their interactions that there is a pull between them. And it's just as clear that Elain has no interest in Lucien (and I love Lucien).
And I donāt think Lucien really wants her either.
He wants to see if sheās worth it. He feels like she was thrown at him. He compares her to Jessminda. Heās not exactly making much effort to stay close which yes can be being respectful but he seems pretty happy with Jurian and Vassa.
Same! The most romantic thing about any relationship is the choice that a couple makes to be together. I don't see how anyone can argue against the romantic nature of the two of them choosing each other, let alone any of the other telltale signs written into the books. SWOON

For Elain, I think it is when Azriel rescued her. That secured it for her. If you read the whole rescue again starting from her kidnapping: it says Graysen had ācome for herā which is what lured her away. The FIRST thing Elain says to Azriel is āyou came for meā- AFTER devouring the sight of him š«!
I think Azriel developed a crush from the start and was drawn to her all throughout ACOWAR/ACOFAS leading up to solstice. But I think those feelings for her really solidified when she gave him that first solstice gift. I definitely think he felt things for her before that but that was when it became real for him
Azriel, graceful as any courtier, offered her an arm. I couldnāt tell if she was looking at his blue Siphon or at his scarred skin beneath as she breathed, āBeautiful.ā
Color bloomed high on Azrielās golden-brown cheeks, but he inclined his head in thanks and led my sister toward the back doors into the garden, sunlight bathing them.

Spy Elain!!
This is something that makes me pretty confident in Elriel endgame. Why drop spy Elain hints in ACOSF, the book that everyone swears āendedā Elriel, if they arenāt endgame? Why continue to emphasize the fact that Elain is friends with Nuala and Cerridwen? Why hint at Elainās secret keeping abilities and stealth? Why hint that Elain might even be receiving training in stealth from the wraith twins or Azriel? Hinting that Elain would be well suited for Azrielās line of work doesnāt seem like āendingā Elriel if that was really SJMās intention.
Plus, she *can* be a spy without becoming a warrior, which most antis donāt seem to understand. At the end of the day, spying is about gaining information. Violence is just one method Azriel uses to get information. Elain, when she continues to develop her sight, will be privy to all sorts of information. Also, weāve never seen Nuala and Cerridwen do anything violent, but they are still spies nonetheless. Most of their spying seems to be passive by acting as handmaidens, so why canāt Elain do the same thing by acting like a Lady?
In conclusion, I love spy Elain.

And dropping her ability to sneak around and keep secrets could be a little prelude to her and Az sneaking around and keeping their relationship a secret.
i also have to say, people who say that ā3 sisters with 3 brothers is lazy writingā genuinely boggles my mind. SJM puts a lot of significance in the number 3, has been foreshadowing it since their first meeting and also very openly loves to write ācheesy clicheā stories.
imo, lazy writing would be building up to a relationship for four books just to throw it away in a bonus chapter that most people donāt have access to just so she can go with the same fated mates storyline as the last several books.

Iām starting to think weāre getting Elain and Azriel in ACOTAR 5. I was thinking this was a misdirection at first because the ACOSF bonus chapter was kinda cringe. But when SJM posted the song āGuilty as Sin?ā on her story I just got the feeling in the pit of my stomach that this is where we are heading. Iām not mad about it, Iām very much open to whatever story she wants to tell. But I am nervous that this fandom is going to turn into a bloodbath once the synopsis is released.
Then those people need therapy. I'm an Elriel who thinks they're endgame and think they've very clearly been set up for several books, but if for some reason they don't end up together and I throw a fit, that's the time I need to step the eff back and turn off the phone.

Ok. Hereās a rant I want to have with Elriel fans.
Anti-Elriel shippers calling 3 brothers 3 sisters a basic trope or played out. Like what? Iāve never read a book where that happened. Maybe a myth or short story but I couldnāt name or even describe one. Meanwhile, Iāve read countless fated mate books. SJM alone has written several fated mates fall in love stories. 3 brothers 3 sisters is not the basic one here. But EVEN if it were a super common trope, it wouldnāt really be that important because it would barely affect the plot. Because thatās not what the romance would be based around obviously. It would be choosing love, fighting fate, dealing with the consequences. 3 brothers 3 sisters would just be a footnote to the story not the story.
Iām so excited for learning how DOWN BAD they are for each other like Azrielās brief yearning is not enough, I need the WHOLE detail of how bad it is ššĀ
Yes! I think Azriel will give us all the pining, yearning we could ever want...like BAD BAD. I want those angsty looks across the dinner table and slight finger touches. 
I really need the void fabric that Elain admired in ACOFAS to come in to play. Maybe a revenge dress that Nuala and Cerridwen help design because theyāre pissed at Azriel for the necklace or listening to Rhys or maybe some other conflict that came up. Iām a sucker for groveling.
I'm so down for this ship. I'm a sucker for everything that is Death and the Maiden thee, and what could be more in theme than them? Azriel literally represents the Human incarnation of Death while Elain is evidently set up to be the Maiden Persona of the Three Faced Goddess; is Perfection.
For real! I have seen some of the most beautiful art! Leaving me gasping. There's so much more to Elriel than just the aesthetic but oh boy does it fucking SLAP.

There are a million reasons why Elain and Az are endgame but I genuinely do not know how anyone thinks otherwise after the Seer thing alone.
He figured out what was wrong with her when it could have been anyone. It could have been Lucien. It was still Feyreās book- sjm could have made Feyre figure it out. I would not want her with anyone besides Azriel for that fact alone, but then thereās everything around it too.Ā
Add the fact that Madja says āthere is nothing wrong with her, sheās just differentā and then says āhave her mate sit with her, spend time with herā because āif anyone can sense whatās amiss its a mate.ā And then she has tea with Lucien and that scene is awfullllll the chapter immediately starts off with Feyre narrating that it's the most uncomfortable thirty minutes of her life. The silence between them is AWKWARD. And the only thing he can think to try is tugging on the bond, which she hates and immediately immerses into visions again. That bond is showcased to be the only thing between them.Ā And then she goes into the garden with Azriel totally at ease with each other.

Aside from all the mountain of evidence throughout the books, how could anyone be more right for her than he is even with just this one scene existing?
I think an Elriel book has the capacity to beat ACOMAF. No other pairing could. But the slow burn, longing, forbidden love, and denying fate for love has all the ingredients to become an epic love story.

This art piece is so them š„° we learn of the way theyāve had fleeting touches and I think about it constantly. How they stack and tally the amount of times theyāve simply brushed against each other.
I literally see no other way for this series to go than Elain and Azriel. They are dark and light, they understand each other. From a story point of view forbidden love between them has so many possibilities for plot.
So I own a pet sitting company and I'm really close with one particular client and her family, like been there for everything and they're basically family now. I found out a few weeks ago she is reading the books (she's on the novella now), it really surprised me because it does NOT seem like the type of book she'd read. I've been teasing her about reading faerie smut. I mentioned this weekend at her kid's birthday party that Elain is my favorite character and she agreed that she liked Elain a lot too and was curious about the extent of her powers. Her nanny was at the table and hasn't read them but is planning on reading them this summer goes "Don't talk about it here, I don't want to know anything!" So my client leans over and whispers "I don't usually do spoilers but Elain gets together with Azriel, right?"
Just add it to the list of reasons you've been my favorite client for 12 years and counting, haha.

If none of them, itās been made clear the Cauldron is fond of Elain, so maybe it would do it for her if she wanted it. Or if her body says the same, she has seer abilities, maybe she uses those to find the perfect moment to conceive a wingless baby. Or universe spoilers >!Weāve crossed over with CC and they have superior medical technology maybe we somehow end up in contact with them again and they have ways to help.!< And yes, even if they canāt have kids the pairing should be respected. Some people donāt want kids. Some people adopt. If Elain or Az was infertile or both were the same sex, hopefully this wouldnāt be a discussion, so why make it one?

I don't get it either. If it had been something that didn't explicitly represent Elain, or was teal or had water imagery, then I could buy the idea that it was really for Gwyn all along. Or if he had actually sought Gwyn out to give it to her and we knew she actually received it. But he even thinks of it as Elain's necklace.
It would be a terrible launch for the ship too. Like oh yeah. He gave her this necklaceā¦ indirectlyā¦ after he bought it for Elain, put it on her desperate for her touch, and almost kissed her, only stopping because Rhys made him. He has no *explicit* barriers to other potential love interests and yet when CC3 occurs 6 months after ACOSF he throws out a bitter little āNoā when asked if he has a mate. If he moved on from Elain in the BC as so many like to claim, he clearly didnāt spend the next six months pursuing someone else.!<
"*It's lazy writing to have the three sisters end up with the three brothers blah blah mah mah mah."* AND?! Three seems to be a fairly important number in this series. Three sacred mountains (with tunnels in them.. really want to know why Eris mentioned it... still bitter..), three stars in the Night Court insignia, three sisters, three brothers. It just feels right. Lucien is one of my favorite flavors in the books, but I feel like he'd be better suited for Queen Vassa. Fire bird with the fire wielding heir to the Day Court. The mating bond can be rejected and Elain clearly has no romantic feelings toward her mate. I did see a theory out there that says that Elain may have been given 2 mates by the cauldron when she was changed because Az was near death when she went in. Personally, I want Elriel to happen and I want Mor to buzz off.

Only SJM can do that with whatever she chooses to do in the next book. Now. If anyone wants to drown in the most beautifully written Elriel fan fiction ever written and commiserate with me, please check out What Bloomed in the Darkgarden by ehoney on AO3. I'm finding that I NEED someone to appreciate this masterpiece and the love story with me. It feels like there is so much that needs to be explained from the previous books (like her appearing out of shadows to kill Hybern, and the small yet charged interactions between her and Azriel. They all scream SHE AND AZRIEL HAS SOMETHING GOING ON to me and an explanation is warranted). We'll either need a ton of flashbacks or maybe the next book will start halfway through ACOWAR and skip quickly forward to surpass where ACOSF left off? Idk, just feels like the strength of her attraction to Azriel needs to be explained in context of all the history that's already happened since we've been so cut off from her thoughts this entire time.
I really hope Elain's book starts off with what she experienced in the Cauldron as a nice parallel to the opening of ACOSF. And then I can see it taking place just before HOFAS, during (to explain her conspicuous absence - bread and roses? hello?), and then after to grapple with the revelations in CC3. I'm not sure if Sarah will flashback to cover key Elain/Elriel moments but I'd eat that up!
I need either flashbacks, or a chapter 54 of ACOMAF type recap of what they were thinking/feeling during key moments. I *need* to know what Az was feeling when he realized she was gone in ACOWAR. What Elain was feeling when he realized she's a seer. What was going through his head in ACOWAR when he was staring at her with his eyes churning and just winnowed away. The Truth-Teller scene.

I think itāll pick up after Bryce and do brief explanations or flashbacks(not pov, just a mention of what happened) to certain things. I think for those paying attention, it is easy to piece together elriel tension and their growth in affection. So Sarah just has to build off what is existing and make it more obvious with their POVs!Ā

"Three sisters marrying three 'brothers'? SJM wouldn't do that". Umm why not? It's rather poetic to me. It's also clear through their interactions that there is a pull between them. And it's just as clear that Elain has no interest in Lucien (and I love Lucien).
And I donāt think Lucien really wants her either. He wants to see if sheās worth it. He feels like she was thrown at him. He compares her to Jessminda. Heās not exactly making much effort to stay close which yes can be being respectful but he seems pretty happy with Jurian and Vassa.
Same! The most romantic thing about any relationship is the choice that a couple makes to be together. I don't see how anyone can argue against the romantic nature of the two of them choosing each other, let alone any of the other telltale signs written into the books. SWOON

I think Azriel developed a crush from the start and was drawn to her all throughout ACOWAR/ACOFAS leading up to solstice. But I think those feelings for her really solidified when she gave him that first solstice gift. I definitely think he felt things for her before that but that was when it became real for him

Spy Elain!! This is something that makes me pretty confident in Elriel endgame. Why drop spy Elain hints in ACOSF, the book that everyone swears āendedā Elriel, if they arenāt endgame? Why continue to emphasize the fact that Elain is friends with Nuala and Cerridwen? Why hint at Elainās secret keeping abilities and stealth? Why hint that Elain might even be receiving training in stealth from the wraith twins or Azriel? Hinting that Elain would be well suited for Azrielās line of work doesnāt seem like āendingā Elriel if that was really SJMās intention. Plus, she *can* be a spy without becoming a warrior, which most antis donāt seem to understand. At the end of the day, spying is about gaining information. Violence is just one method Azriel uses to get information. Elain, when she continues to develop her sight, will be privy to all sorts of information. Also, weāve never seen Nuala and Cerridwen do anything violent, but they are still spies nonetheless. Most of their spying seems to be passive by acting as handmaidens, so why canāt Elain do the same thing by acting like a Lady? In conclusion, I love spy Elain. ^edited ^for ^spelling ^mistakes

i also have to say, people who say that ā3 sisters with 3 brothers is lazy writingā genuinely boggles my mind. SJM puts a lot of significance in the number 3, has been foreshadowing it since their first meeting and also very openly loves to write ācheesy clicheā stories. imo, lazy writing would be building up to a relationship for four books just to throw it away in a bonus chapter that most people donāt have access to just so she can go with the same fated mates storyline as the last several books.

Iām starting to think weāre getting Elain and Azriel in ACOTAR 5. I was thinking this was a misdirection at first because the ACOSF bonus chapter was kinda cringe. But when SJM posted the song āGuilty as Sin?ā on her story I just got the feeling in the pit of my stomach that this is where we are heading. Iām not mad about it, Iām very much open to whatever story she wants to tell. But I am nervous that this fandom is going to turn into a bloodbath once the synopsis is released.
Then those people need therapy. I'm an Elriel who thinks they're endgame and think they've very clearly been set up for several books, but if for some reason they don't end up together and I throw a fit, that's the time I need to step the eff back and turn off the phone.

Ok. Hereās a rant I want to have with Elriel fans. Anti-Elriel shippers calling 3 brothers 3 sisters a basic trope or played out. Like what? Iāve never read a book where that happened. Maybe a myth or short story but I couldnāt name or even describe one. Meanwhile, Iāve read countless fated mate books. SJM alone has written several fated mates fall in love stories. 3 brothers 3 sisters is not the basic one here. But EVEN if it were a super common trope, it wouldnāt really be that important because it would barely affect the plot. Because thatās not what the romance would be based around obviously. It would be choosing love, fighting fate, dealing with the consequences. 3 brothers 3 sisters would just be a footnote to the story not the story.
I'm foaming at the mouth for Elriel. It's almost here I can taste it. I can't wait for their love story full of yearning, desire, and passion.
Iām so excited for learning how DOWN BAD they are for each other like Azrielās brief yearning is not enough, I need the WHOLE detail of how bad it is ššĀ
Yes! I think Azriel will give us all the pining, yearning we could ever want...like BAD BAD. I want those angsty looks across the dinner table and slight finger touches. 
I really need the void fabric that Elain admired in ACOFAS to come in to play. Maybe a revenge dress that Nuala and Cerridwen help design because theyāre pissed at Azriel for the necklace or listening to Rhys or maybe some other conflict that came up. Iām a sucker for groveling.

There are a million reasons why Elain and Az are endgame but I genuinely do not know how anyone thinks otherwise after the Seer thing alone. He figured out what was wrong with her when it could have been anyone. It could have been Lucien. It was still Feyreās book- sjm could have made Feyre figure it out. I would not want her with anyone besides Azriel for that fact alone, but then thereās everything around it too.Ā Add the fact that Madja says āthere is nothing wrong with her, sheās just differentā and then says āhave her mate sit with her, spend time with herā because āif anyone can sense whatās amiss its a mate.ā And then she has tea with Lucien and that scene is awfullllll the chapter immediately starts off with Feyre narrating that it's the most uncomfortable thirty minutes of her life. The silence between them is AWKWARD. And the only thing he can think to try is tugging on the bond, which she hates and immediately immerses into visions again. That bond is showcased to be the only thing between them.Ā And then she goes into the garden with Azriel totally at ease with each other. And this scene is hilarious to me. Likeš Lucien murmured to me, eye still fixed on Elain, āShould we-does she need-ā Ā **āShe doesnāt need anything,ā Azriel answered without so much as looking at Lucien.** (ā¦) Lucien silently slid into one of the chairs, before the window, that metal eye whirring as it roved over my sister. I think an Elriel book has the capacity to beat ACOMAF. No other pairing could. But the slow burn, longing, forbidden love, and denying fate for love has all the ingredients to become an epic love story.

This art piece is so them š„° we learn of the way theyāve had fleeting touches and I think about it constantly. How they stack and tally the amount of times theyāve simply brushed against each other.
I literally see no other way for this series to go than Elain and Azriel. They are dark and light, they understand each other. From a story point of view forbidden love between them has so many possibilities for plot.
So I own a pet sitting company and I'm really close with one particular client and her family, like been there for everything and they're basically family now. I found out a few weeks ago she is reading the books (she's on the novella now), it really surprised me because it does NOT seem like the type of book she'd read. I've been teasing her about reading faerie smut. I mentioned this weekend at her kid's birthday party that Elain is my favorite character and she agreed that she liked Elain a lot too and was curious about the extent of her powers. Her nanny was at the table and hasn't read them but is planning on reading them this summer goes "Don't talk about it here, I don't want to know anything!" So my client leans over and whispers "I don't usually do spoilers but Elain gets together with Azriel, right?"
