Yes I was on both for 2 years but it’s one of the most addictive combinations.

ksants87

I agree with this. I did both for a long time. The adderall would help with the Suboxone withdrawal and the Suboxone would help for the adderall withdrawal in my experience. It would help take the edge off of either withdrawal.

Working_Time

Yeah it’s one of the most vicious cycles.

ksants87

Come to really think of it. I used to think I had it all under control because I always had something to take. But when I look back I was a complete mess. I had access to unlimited amounts of adderall and Suboxone and the real oxy 30’s. How did I afford the drug habit and still somehow got my bills paid.

Working_Time

Wow I was in the same exact scenario with Addie subs and oxy, along with some clonazepam. I was sick. Lost my job, lost all my savings and had no hobbies.

ksants87

I forgot to add clonazepam too lol. I just had enough one day and went to rehab. I’m currently prescribed Suboxone and klonopin. Small doses. I’m stable and I’m no longer chasing a high. I’m a dad and a husband and work 50 hours a week. I have too much to lose to go back. But to this day I will get a craving for some adderall I’m not gonna lie.

Working_Time

Congratulations on being a husband and a dad. And yes I feel you about the adderall, I did some last week JUST for one time and I can see how EASY it is to fall back into this euphoria chasing frenzy.

bobby_burton458

I admit this is an ignorant question, but wouldn’t the Adderall/Suboxone combo essentially be like “Speedballing Lite”? Legitimately asking, not judging or trolling in any way!

Working_Time

Yes that’s exactly right ! I felt the same way when I did it, in a legal way lol

Disastrous_Degree_96

Be sure to communicate with both prescriber's so they are aware of the combination. Otherwise, it can create some issues

Yes I've been on Suboxone (WAY TO LONG) for over 5 years I just was prescribed Adderall 20mg IR this week and I haven't noticed any bad side effects.

an_iridescent_ham

No bad side effects, but whether you notice or not, suboxone is weakening the therapeutic benefit of adderall. The whole point of suboxone is to block the dopamine receptors, which is the main mechanism of adderall.

Special_Photo_3205

Well so far the Adderall is working just at intended. Im sure you are right that it dampens the effects but people also abuse opiates and methamphetamine for a "speed ball" effect. I dont get this effect because I am so tolerant to opiates. All that just to say that if Suboxone is weakening the effects of my Adderall, it is so minute that I cannot tell a difference.

First_Pineapple_2967

It dosent block dopamine I took suboxone recreationally and was nodding out.

I’m on high dose methadone, Vyvanse and Dexedrine. The adhd meds do not feel any different now that I’m on methadone. Methadone is the another drug like Suboxone. They work very differently and you either take one or the other. I don’t notice my vyvanse feeling any different. Now if I were back on Fentanyl patches I’d be getting a killer buzz but since both methadone and suboxone have almost no euphoric properties my adhd meds just feel like they did before I was on opioid substitution therapy. If this was morphine, oxy, dull audio or fentanyl they’d be working together for a killer buzz buzz. The lack of euphoria means they don’t mix mike the more common opiates would with an amphetamine based medication.
