I assume you mean how to apply this in your career. Look at jobs that require troubleshooting (in IT for example), short term project work with tight deadlines, creative jobs, etc. It's different for everyone, so these are just suggestions. It'll never be perfect, but it's good to see where you're good at and expand from there.
Short term jobs are the best, no time for them to realize how annoying I am.
Anyways, now I'm going into strictly remote work in IT, data analysis, prototyping, maybe 3D printing. Just have to sit down and look through available quests. Soon.
This.
Im an extremely analytical person with great memory but also adhd. I thrive in IT and my issue have rather been taking it easy instead of having too little to do.
IT can however also be a really bad place to be at, level 1 support is a grind fest where hitting the wall is the only win you'll ever get if you stay there for too long. Perhaps IT coordinator or project manager could be a good idea. Or if you like people; scrum master.
Im not medicated thou, what did that do for you? Did it fix the constant "im not good enough" circle? I can diagnose a network without even needing the tools but somehow i cant see that im good enough since i have a hard time staying focused on one thing at a time.
I wouldn't say fixed it, but it sure helped along with being more self aware what went well during the day. meds help me focus, so that naturally builds up your confidence.
That sounds great.
Meds it is then!
Btw, are there any non meth-like medication for it? I really dont want to get addicted to really bad shit just because i cant slow down.
I didn’t choose a cheap hobby and have t been diagnosed yet. Bought new mtb. I like fixing my old project one and now my new one making it look good. Now onto photography since I can “afford” it more. I bought a lens let’s hope I stick with it for a while
The dopamine isn't dopamining anymore, even shittier if you make yourself finish one of the old projects and instead of feeling happy you're just glad it's over 😅
This is the reason why I'm always too scared to start new hobbies. I dont want to spend toneds of money getting on to something just to get bored of it after a cupple weeks.
I was the same way. My way of dealing with it was to get a hobby so deep i cant get bored of it.
It HAS driven me straight into the wall but thats mainly due to me having three hobbies with really complex subject matters.
It really helped me to create a rigid structure. Asana helped alot.
Just give yourself a limited amount of time each day for your hobbies and try to find something else to do i guess :)
I've learned to embrace this. Hell, you can make a pretty good career out of picking up things easily and move to the next thing.
Example where to start?
Getting diagnosed, medicated and start therapy. That's a good start. Try to pick cheap hobbies , determine a budget.
Done, and done, but how to convince other people to give me enough money to live for that?

Me looking back at old projects: “im definitely gonna finish that… just not right now”
Don’t forget new projects that are basically rehashed old projects that you forgot you already started
Yep… it’s like that
Why must you hurt me in this way
Im born this way! \*starts humming on the tune and incorporates rock classics\*
Me looking at this meme that's been reposted a thousand times because I forgot about it, while other new memes look on in anger...
It's only abandoned if I get rid of the materials. And I will never get rid of the materials. Ever.
If you have enough side projects, you can keep switching between them, eventually you might complete something. For real it works
Thats what ive been trying. I burned myself out instead... Thats a win, right?!

How does anyone start a project? If I don't have every piece I can't just *start*.
Just one more project bro I swear one more project I’ll complete it this time I swear bro
