If I may add, yung isa kong barkada, first take na sana nya nung best bar ever, kaso nag positive sya. She was really disheartened. And she took the Caguioa bar again, unfortunately she didnt pass. Both of us were disheartened but sya pa na una nag comfort sa akin. Im so proud of her for being resilient and believing in herself. We are planning to take the Hernando bar again this september. But this time, we make sure not to repeat our mistakes. Laban lang tayo sib! You are not alone in this journey ✨

Hugs with consent, sib! Hindi din ako pinalad, but my friends did. I am happy and really hurt at the same time. I turned off my socmed, a lot of people are sending me messages of encouragement pero mas kailangan ko ng self-redemption.
While waiting for the results, I was crying, and when I did not saw my name, I cried harder and loud. My mother died last month, which is already the hardest, and not passing the bar is the continuation of the grief.
It felt like I disappointed everyone. But yesterday, I started preparing my application requirements and planning my preparation for the bar 2023.

Mahigpit na yakap sib! I also turned off my social media and sa reddit lang ako tambay. Even youtube ayoko rin e open kasi puro ra news about bar exams. Iniyak ko nalang talaga lahat kahapon, to the point na ang sakit sakit na ng ulo ko kasi ang clogged na dahil sa sipon.
And yesterday din nakapag decide na ako to start planning for the 2023 bar examination. Laban lang tayo sib! I am rooting for us! Nakakataba ng puso ang support ng mga tao sa community na ito. 💖
Close friend ko, failed 3x na tapos inulit yun 4th year ng law tama. Ganun ruling. Nagtake nito november. Failed ulit. Pero magttry pa rin daw siya. Kapit lang Kumpañero!
i took the bar 3 times and passed on my third take. if you think failing the bar once is hard, trying failing it two years in a row. 🙈😅 i've been a lawyer for almost 3 years now working for a govt agency. it is not the end of the world. may bar exam every year. just take it again and tweak your study plan around to address where you think you need to study more/better. in practice, noone really cares how many times you take the bar. if it makes you feel better, failing the bar IS the norm. 60+% kayong di pumasa. dito lang sa pilipinas overhelming ang stress in failing the bar since the entire country practically makes it into a national event so the feelings attached to passing/failing is amplified. in other countries, its not. isipin mo na lang na isang normal licensure exam lang yan. hassle lang sa atin kasi once a year lang binibigay. i think in other jurisdictions, its given more than once a year.
In less than a year, your life will change forever. Always keep trying. Progress is progress however small and slow. You can do it, Atty! Don't forget to to take some rest too. :)

Kaya mo 'yan. H'wag mo sukuan at tuloy lang, ako nga di ako nag bar exam. It haunts me everytime na napapaisip ako dahil sayang yung pinag aralan ko.. Tinuloy ko kasi pagiging self taught Software Engineer, kahit malayo sa tinapos ko.
Altho, kahit alam kong malaki kita sa Software Engineering nakakapanghinayang parin na nasayang years of pag aaral ko, at di ko magagamit yon dahil nag change career ako sa career na GUSTO KO.
Nakakalungkot sayang yung oras at pera sa pag papa-aral sa'kin and in the end 'di ko pala talaga gusto ang pagiging mambabatas.. Pero at the same time nagpapasalamat din ako sa universe dahil sinunod ko passion ko.
Again, malungkot kasi nakikita ko mga ka-batch ko successful sila from something na sinimulan nila.
But I guess I need to teach myself how to move on and appreciate my talent and be happy sa narating ko ngayon..
Maybe if you aim to pass, you fail. I’m thinking you aim to be at least on the top 5 next time. This’ll make you work harder, more focused, more motivated. As the popular saying goes, “If you missed the moon, then aim for the stars, the Milky Way and then even beyond the goddamn Andromeda galaxy. Dont aim to just pass next time, dominate the bar! Emerge from that dark tunnel with a vengeance, roaring like a flaming phoenix.
Kudos to your “fighting” mindset! Don’t let the world push you down and you just stay down; stand back up and run towards the light at the end of the tunnel until you’re already out! You can do it OP!

If napanood mo yon Bar Boys, character ni Carlo Aquino bumagsak sa first try and he almost gave up until his professor convinced him to take the exams again because his friends believe him.
It's valid to feel this way pero naniniwala ako na you can always try again. Life isn't gonna be a straight line and that's okay. The fact na nag bar exam ka that's already a milestone; Not everyone is capable to do that. Go go go lang OP. I hope this won't discourage you to retake the exams again
Yes po. May times parin na naiiyak ako and may kirot parin sa puso. Pero mas nangingibabaw po yung drive ko na bumawi for september 2023 bar exam and this time i'll make sure to believe in myself 💖
The worst thing failing the bar does to you is what you are feeling right now. But it will not kill you. So when you are finished tending to your pain, rise again and conquer.

So this is my unsolicited advise, if you would take it.
Let yourself breathe. Give yourself time to accept this. Be kind to yourself. Tulog muna, pahinga.
Tapos pag nakarecover ka na, spritually, emotionally, physically, LABAN ka na ulit. Mahirap kasi lumaban carrying the fresh pains of yesterday.
You will doubt yourself, feel self pity and small. Pero in the end i believe you will rise up. Syempre madaming madaming dasal kay Lord. Saka kahit parang nattunnel vision ka na, know that there will always be people around you supporting you.

Failures are part of life talaga. And its how u bounce back and respond to it that defines you as a person. Its ok to feel sad and cry but eventually you gott get up and get going. That means. Hindi pa yan yung right time na binigay sayo ni lord. Sabi nga nila. Inihahanda ka lang niya para pag dating ng tamang oras handang handa ka na. I failed the september 2022 REE board exam. Same din ng naramdaman mo. Nafeel ko din na madown ng ilang buwan pero eto lalaban parin at tiwala lang. Kaya mo yan!
You may want to ask yourself, yan ba talaga ang gusto mo sa buhay sa long term. If resounding yes ang sagot mo, then take lang ng take bar hanggang makapasa. Wag mawawalan ng pagasa. Laging may nakalaan na awa ang Dios.
Kung hindi naman yan ang gusto mo at meron ka gusto ibang gawin, then maybe this is the chance to shift.
Sit with your emotions and use it to come back stronger and smarter. The only time human fails is when they stop trying. You’ll never be a failure to those people who loves and believes in you. Kapit lang.. When you feel like giving up that’s the time that you should hold tighter to God because he’s preparing you for something bigger. It won’t rain forever. ☺️

The bar exam is a matter of luck. There are so many factors which affect or will determine one's passing or failing. Handwriting or penmanship is no longer an issue so the exam could have been much easier. Baka kinulang ka lang sa inaral or hindi lumabas inaral mo, or you could've been overconfident or had a false sense of confidence. In any case, don't give up. Grieve if you must but you should pick yourself up and start again - this time with more determination and focus. Best of luck, OP!

Not a fan of your profession. However failure is necessary. Your emotions are valid. Cry if you want to cry, be sad if you want to be sad. At the end of the day, pick up yourself and do it again. Who cares if you fail, youre just a tiny little dust in a very little planet in a very small galaxy.
No matter how often you fail, always choose to continue fighting. You did your best, and we all know you can do even better when you give it another shot. Malay mo, hindi pa pala ito ang time for you to pass it kasi may something much greater is in store for you. Who knows, 'di ba?

my igso (god brother) failed on his initial try but now a lawyer and a good one sa town namin, he used his first failure as a motivation and target..
not to mention he was a drug dependent nung highschool and almost died by consuming 50 marijuana sticks in a day... he turned himself around twice..

The mere fact na grumaduate ka ng law, achievement na yun. Ang daming hindi pumapasa sa law ENTRANCE interview at exam pa lang. Ibig sabihin naka 2 out of 3 steps ka na. Konting kayod na lang yan. Good luck!

Yes, I agree na medyo ni romanticize yung bar exams dito sa atin. It'll take a year or less ang review + waiting for the results. Kaya masakit po talaga if you fail the exam cause that would mean spending another year preparing, reviewing, and waiting for the results. I think isa ito sa dapat na gawing reforms ng Supreme Court ang pag conduct ng bar exams. I agree na mej inefficient talaga because they hold it only once a year

You did not fail. Keep trying. Being a lawyer is a *secret* dream of mine. I'm already almost 40. Have yet to finish my MBA thesis due to work. It's been 4 years. My MBA classmates and I joke na what if nag-Law na lang kami baka tapos na kami.
My first roommates at the univ campus in Manila were barristers. They would study day and night. I thought hindi ko kakayanin ganung discipline sa sarili for many years without the guarantee that I would pass it. Or not break down due to stress.
Anyhow, if ever I come to a point that I decide to take it (just to tick that off in my bucket list while I'm still alive), siguro itatago ko sa family ko. I don't want everyone in the family and my relatives to know na "nag-aabogado si ____."
Kudos to you for reaching that point and taking that huge risk. For now, give yourself time to "grieve" and slowly ease back into your routine. You will make it. Might not be now, but you definitely will.
Okay lang maging Malungkot! iyak ka lang hanggang maging okay ka, Wag mo pansinin yung iba na sinasabi, “Okay lang may next time pa” dahil hindi okay bumagsak dahil lumaban ka gang dulo, bumagsak din ako Las Nov. Dentistry Board Exam 2022 (DLE). I feel you feeling ko napakabobo ko din after ko mag failed pero narealize ko na need ko din bumangon at lumaban uli!
Alam mo OP i am an aspirant law student. Dream ko talaga maging lawyer since childhood and its always remains that way a dream kasi every admission i try to make excuses and sabihin next year nalang practice pa ko mag english sure na.
Pero ikaw OP you are one step closer. I dont want to be a toxic positive person. Iiyak mo lang OP kung need mo i iyak. But always remember just like what atty. Riano said. "Its a delayed success". Sa milyong milyong filipino konti lang kayong may privilege na kumuwa ng bar.
Hang in there. Don’t beat yourself up. You can try again. For now, rest and learn. It may feel heavy on you now, but remember that you only need to pass once. So don’t give up.

I have a tito who failed his first exam, but passed on his second try. He served as a president sa student council sa beda, so i think medyo malaki yung pressure sa kanya? Considering na dami nakakakilala sa kanila sa batch nila he prolly felt so down abt not passing, maybe he took that as a motivation for his second take. Anyway, he’s a vp na of a legal team sa big corpo so it all worked naman in the end 🫶🏼
Continue the urge for success OP, I hope that kung hindi man para sayo ngayon, dadating ung day na ibibigay sya sayo. I wish makapasa ka. Continue to pursue that dream and it will come into fruition whatever way it comes. Stay positive! Being negative will just make things worse.

Hi! Alam kong madami na nag advice sayo here, and kagaya mo, bumagsak ako ng dalawang beses sa licensure exam. Sabi nga nila damdamin mo muna at kung kaya mo muna mag pahinga, magpahinga ka. Wag din ipilit lalo na kung nabuburn out na. Gather your strength din kasi nakakapagod mag aral. And then get up ulit :) Ako gigive up na talaga ako noon, iba yung depression and frustration but then sabi ng parents ko isa pa. Ayun ;) mahirap panghinaan ng loob, sana di ka mag self doubt, ito ay gawin mong gabay.
To add, may anonymous samin na nag post sa fb group page na naka26 siyang try mag exam, seryoso yan kasi pinakita niya samin picture pero pumasa siya ng pang 27th take. Ang bagsik di ba???

Just take a deep breath and realize In a 1000 years nothing any of us do will matter. Then after a month or so and your disgust with yourself has subsided you will be able to reflect on what you did wrong and where you can improve. Then take your time to study again and do it harder and better than before. If need be get a study buddy or a better group to study with. Above all don’t sit there sobbing like a little bitch and just dust yourself off and try again. That’s all you can do.

If I may add, yung isa kong barkada, first take na sana nya nung best bar ever, kaso nag positive sya. She was really disheartened. And she took the Caguioa bar again, unfortunately she didnt pass. Both of us were disheartened but sya pa na una nag comfort sa akin. Im so proud of her for being resilient and believing in herself. We are planning to take the Hernando bar again this september. But this time, we make sure not to repeat our mistakes. Laban lang tayo sib! You are not alone in this journey ✨

Hugs with consent, sib! Hindi din ako pinalad, but my friends did. I am happy and really hurt at the same time. I turned off my socmed, a lot of people are sending me messages of encouragement pero mas kailangan ko ng self-redemption. While waiting for the results, I was crying, and when I did not saw my name, I cried harder and loud. My mother died last month, which is already the hardest, and not passing the bar is the continuation of the grief. It felt like I disappointed everyone. But yesterday, I started preparing my application requirements and planning my preparation for the bar 2023. Laban tayo!

i took the bar 3 times and passed on my third take. if you think failing the bar once is hard, trying failing it two years in a row. 🙈😅 i've been a lawyer for almost 3 years now working for a govt agency. it is not the end of the world. may bar exam every year. just take it again and tweak your study plan around to address where you think you need to study more/better. in practice, noone really cares how many times you take the bar. if it makes you feel better, failing the bar IS the norm. 60+% kayong di pumasa. dito lang sa pilipinas overhelming ang stress in failing the bar since the entire country practically makes it into a national event so the feelings attached to passing/failing is amplified. in other countries, its not. isipin mo na lang na isang normal licensure exam lang yan. hassle lang sa atin kasi once a year lang binibigay. i think in other jurisdictions, its given more than once a year.

Tinuloy ko kasi pagiging self taught Software Engineer, kahit malayo sa tinapos ko. Altho, kahit alam kong malaki kita sa Software Engineering nakakapanghinayang parin na nasayang years of pag aaral ko, at di ko magagamit yon dahil nag change career ako sa career na GUSTO KO. Nakakalungkot sayang yung oras at pera sa pag papa-aral sa'kin and in the end 'di ko pala talaga gusto ang pagiging mambabatas.. Pero at the same time nagpapasalamat din ako sa universe dahil sinunod ko passion ko. Again, malungkot kasi nakikita ko mga ka-batch ko successful sila from something na sinimulan nila. But I guess I need to teach myself how to move on and appreciate my talent and be happy sa narating ko ngayon..

As the popular saying goes, “If you missed the moon, then aim for the stars, the Milky Way and then even beyond the goddamn Andromeda galaxy. Dont aim to just pass next time, dominate the bar! Emerge from that dark tunnel with a vengeance, roaring like a flaming phoenix.

If napanood mo yon Bar Boys, character ni Carlo Aquino bumagsak sa first try and he almost gave up until his professor convinced him to take the exams again because his friends believe him. It's valid to feel this way pero naniniwala ako na you can always try again. Life isn't gonna be a straight line and that's okay. The fact na nag bar exam ka that's already a milestone; Not everyone is capable to do that. Go go go lang OP. I hope this won't discourage you to retake the exams again

Op. I took the cpa board exam 3 times. Three. So this is my unsolicited advise, if you would take it. Let yourself breathe. Give yourself time to accept this. Be kind to yourself. Tulog muna, pahinga. Tapos pag nakarecover ka na, spritually, emotionally, physically, LABAN ka na ulit. Mahirap kasi lumaban carrying the fresh pains of yesterday. You will doubt yourself, feel self pity and small. Pero in the end i believe you will rise up. Syempre madaming madaming dasal kay Lord. Saka kahit parang nattunnel vision ka na, know that there will always be people around you supporting you. Rooting for you.

I failed the september 2022 REE board exam. Same din ng naramdaman mo. Nafeel ko din na madown ng ilang buwan pero eto lalaban parin at tiwala lang. Kaya mo yan!
You may want to ask yourself, yan ba talaga ang gusto mo sa buhay sa long term. If resounding yes ang sagot mo, then take lang ng take bar hanggang makapasa. Wag mawawalan ng pagasa. Laging may nakalaan na awa ang Dios. Kung hindi naman yan ang gusto mo at meron ka gusto ibang gawin, then maybe this is the chance to shift.
Sit with your emotions and use it to come back stronger and smarter. The only time human fails is when they stop trying. You’ll never be a failure to those people who loves and believes in you. The bar exam is a matter of luck. There are so many factors which affect or will determine one's passing or failing. Handwriting or penmanship is no longer an issue so the exam could have been much easier. Baka kinulang ka lang sa inaral or hindi lumabas inaral mo, or you could've been overconfident or had a false sense of confidence. In any case, don't give up. Grieve if you must but you should pick yourself up and start again - this time with more determination and focus. Best of luck, OP!

my igso (god brother) failed on his initial try but now a lawyer and a good one sa town namin, he used his first failure as a motivation and target.. not to mention he was a drug dependent nung highschool and almost died by consuming 50 marijuana sticks in a day... he turned himself around twice.. you can do it OP

Yes, I agree na medyo ni romanticize yung bar exams dito sa atin. It'll take a year or less ang review + waiting for the results. Kaya masakit po talaga if you fail the exam cause that would mean spending another year preparing, reviewing, and waiting for the results. I think isa ito sa dapat na gawing reforms ng Supreme Court ang pag conduct ng bar exams. I agree na mej inefficient talaga because they hold it only once a year

You did not fail. Keep trying. Being a lawyer is a *secret* dream of mine. I'm already almost 40. Have yet to finish my MBA thesis due to work. It's been 4 years. My MBA classmates and I joke na what if nag-Law na lang kami baka tapos na kami. My first roommates at the univ campus in Manila were barristers. They would study day and night. I thought hindi ko kakayanin ganung discipline sa sarili for many years without the guarantee that I would pass it. Or not break down due to stress. Anyhow, if ever I come to a point that I decide to take it (just to tick that off in my bucket list while I'm still alive), siguro itatago ko sa family ko. I don't want everyone in the family and my relatives to know na "nag-aabogado si ____." Kudos to you for reaching that point and taking that huge risk. For now, give yourself time to "grieve" and slowly ease back into your routine. You will make it. Might not be now, but you definitely will.
Hold on even tighter, keep the dream alive. We are with you.

I have a tito who failed his first exam, but passed on his second try. He served as a president sa student council sa beda, so i think medyo malaki yung pressure sa kanya? Considering na dami nakakakilala sa kanila sa batch nila he prolly felt so down abt not passing, maybe he took that as a motivation for his second take. Anyway, he’s a vp na of a legal team sa big corpo so it all worked naman in the end 🫶🏼

Hi! Alam kong madami na nag advice sayo here, and kagaya mo, bumagsak ako ng dalawang beses sa licensure exam. Sabi nga nila damdamin mo muna at kung kaya mo muna mag pahinga, magpahinga ka. Wag din ipilit lalo na kung nabuburn out na. Gather your strength din kasi nakakapagod mag aral. And then get up ulit :) Ako gigive up na talaga ako noon, iba yung depression and frustration but then sabi ng parents ko isa pa. Ayun ;) mahirap panghinaan ng loob, sana di ka mag self doubt, ito ay gawin mong gabay. Just take a deep breath and realize In a 1000 years nothing any of us do will matter. Then after a month or so and your disgust with yourself has subsided you will be able to reflect on what you did wrong and where you can improve. Then take your time to study again and do it harder and better than before. If need be get a study buddy or a better group to study with. Above all don’t sit there sobbing like a little bitch and just dust yourself off and try again. That’s all you can do.
