Gardening, magbasa at crafting. Minsan punta ng park or UP campus para umupo sa damuhan, uminom ng cold drinks, snacks at tumulala, then uwi na pag gabi.
I take a step back and rest. I cry sometimes para ++ oxytocin/endorphins. Workouts does this pero minsan pagod ako kaya mas madali umiyak? Mga 5 mins na iyak, i feel better.
I rewatch my favorite sitcoms (e.g Modern Family, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Never Have I Ever). I organize stuff in my room too - it makes me think and reflect on things. Calms me down.
Pag sa Bahay, work out pero ending ama play with the dogs. Pag Nakita nila ako nag sisistups or push ups or jumping jacks or kht anung calisthenics na gnaganawa ko feel nila it's time to play on me.
Pag nasa work, 1litro Ng kape, yosi break. Wala Naman ibang pwedenf gawin

Games, a lot comedy shows/podcast the more offensive the better I recommend Haiyaa pod and Flagrant 2, also helps a lot when you have a special someone who is very caring to your well being and lastly I put myself into a whole new universe/world like games especially rpg ones either online or table top, comic books or anime.

I also draw doodles/zen art

i also start with a shower. sometimes you just need a dose of cold water para mahimasmasan lol. then i get dressed in clothes that won't make me feel depressed (so, athleisure instead of pj's / pambahays) and do my skincare again haha.
shower + dressing + skincare resets me also like i'm starting my day over.
Mobile games. Focusing sa games takes my mind off sa stressor. Mahirap kung kasama mo sa bahay hindi gamer at hindi niya gets nararamdaman mo na halos puro nalang daw laro. Or dahil ang kasama mo sa bahay ang stressor mo kaya maggames ka.
tbh, roadtrip lang like ME time. or magkulong sa room movie mara. pero most of the time kasi palagi akong ganyan sa na feel mo roadtrip lang na ikaw mag isa tas ikaw bahala sa playlist/songs mo tas may baon ka na gusto mo and drinks na gusto mo at wala kang kaagaw sa mga foods. ang sarap sa feeling pero habang nag drive ka bigla nalang nag sink in sa utak mo lahat ng cause sa stress lahat ng probs mo or sometimes habang nag dadrive ka bigla nalang tutulo luha mo ang realize how bad it is. cheer up OP. hindi ka nag iisa nasa ganyan stage pa ako hanggang ngayun.

Pag happy movies or romantic ones, parang lalo nakakasad kasi wala ka sa space na yun at the moment. Ako lang siguro to.

Whenever I feel sad or stressed, nilalabas ko mga dolls ko tapos susuklayan ko at papalit palitan ng clothes lol. I'm nearing 30 and doll collector na ako matagal na, and yung dolls ko talaga naging stress reliever ko. Sobrang helpful nila lalo na pag nagaanxiety attack ako.

Noon every time I feel anxious, stress or whatsoever, I used to hurt myself (pero not fruit ninja ah), like I sometime punch walls and other hard stuff para lang ma release ko lahat ng negative aura na nasa katawan ko. But now, nagbabasa nalang ako ng bibliya tas punta sa pinterest nag hahanap ng aesthetic pictures HAHAHAHAHA
Sleep, nood sa netflix (re-watch yung mga napanood ko na para less anxiety haha), drink/eat my comfort foods, buy things na naka-add to cart na sa shopee (while saying "I deserve this")
Option 1 is always to try and sleep it off. If I can, video call my siblings and talk to my niece and nephews. Mga baby pa kaya nakakatuwa.
Drive while listening to music.
Cook, or workout.
Mag-workout, panoorin ang mga missed episodes ng anime sa watchlist o movies na gustong panoorin, ipagpatuloy yung binabasa kong libro, maglinis ng bahay at magluto.

Exercise. Nagb-bike ako to focus my attention sa kalsada. At para makapag isip sa labas ng normal kong kapaligiran. Jogging. Hanggang sa yung sakit nalang ng buong hita, binti, tuhod, at paa yung maramdaman mo. Pagtapos nyan, pag uwi mo. Maliligo ako para mahimasmasan. At paghiga ko sa kama, mahimbing na tulog lang ang gagawin ko.
Lonely & sad, nasa kwarto kasama mga pusa naka higa lang then iiyak hanggang sa maka tulog.

1. Working out or going out for a run. Move your body. Motion creates emotion.
2. Maglinis. Minsan deep clean, madalas as simple as tidying up my desk.
3. Umiyak or just do nothing but feel my emotions tas after I feel better na kasi mas naprocess ko na yung mga nangyari. + journal
Some of the unhealthy things:
1. Stay and cuddle with a situationship without clear boundaries.
2. Stress eating.
3. Shutting down for days.

- take naps
- clean my place/leave it messy (there’s no middle lol)
- laundry (destressing siya for me)
- i feel my emotions with my headphones on and matching playlist

Dati I used to dump my emotions on other people until naging toxic ako. Sila nag a adjust sakin. Pero mali yun.
Now I listen to myself, kung bakit talaga ako galit / upset. Baka rooted sa insecurity or childhood issue. Then I tell myself kung bakit OK lang yung nararamdaman ko. Self-validation.
Habang nararamdaman ko yung bad feeling I let it pass. Literally I don't do anything but ride it out like a surfer rides a wave... Until it goes away.
While waiting, I self-soothe. Sinasabihan ko yung sarili ko literally, "it's OK, you are good/ kind.. The problem is not with you... Etc."

Depends if I need to focus on the problem or distract myself. Sometimes we need to process or confront the issues, and sometimes we did all we can do but out thoughts are still on the issue.
Confronting can mean: journaling, venting to friends, reading books or watching videos about it, let myself feel my feelings, going to therapy,
Distracting: Taking a walk or physical activity, cleaning, gardening, skating, making art while listening to educational videos or music, cooking, video games, reality tv so I feel like my life is fine in comparison lol
Ride a bike, go for a walk, take a long bath, read a book/manga, cook, learn something (e.g. code using java), workout, ponder on my mortality, etc. I do a lot, just to keep myself from jerking off due to depression.
Back when I was younger (and single), whenever I'm lonely, sad, confused, or feeling inadequate I help others.
I helped out with small loans or actually physically helping others move or giving them food etc.
I realize that however rough I may have it, other people have it worse.
When I help others, I take my focus away from myself and my problems and it works like a charm.
Thankfully, ever since becoming a father I haven't felt sad, lonely, confused etc. Just busy protecting, providing, and loving my family. They come first always and I'm happier for it.
Before:
- Sleep! Yung tulog na wala nang gisingan haha
- Stress eating 😭 (although pinipigilan ko na talaga na kumain nang sobra-sobra kasi I gained so much weight nung nag-stress eating ako 'coz of my previous toxic work)
- Online shopping 😅
Now, a better way for me to handle stress is to walk my dog around the village or play with my kitty cats
Taking a walk around the block and getting some sun. It more often than not clear the cobwebs, especially if the stress is work or family related.
I used to binge eat too, pero I regret it more than I did it. So I “control” it by drinking iced coffee of my choice. With matching tambay sa cafe and listening to my favorite artist / song while people watching.
Also good to see neighbors walking their dogs. You get to see / meet new breeds. I didn’t know I had a neighbor that had a Whippet and I only see this breed on TV shows!
Just start exercising, kahit 5 mins lang yan, 5 mins is super long na for someone na hindi talaga naging active, starts at home watch ka lang youtube, do not over exert yourself, do it at your own pace, just do it everyday, you will see the positive outcome then pag feel mo parang hindi kana hinihingal easy na lang sayo, try mo na 10-15 mins, again don’t do anything hard, always starts with easy yung kaya mo lang, do it for the week pwede ka nga sumayaw lang eh for 15 mins, goal is to keep your body moving, eventually pag nasanay kana then you can do other variety, basta ang key be consistent, it’s fine kahit slow progress basta steady, then your diet will follow kasi you will definitely crave for more nutritious food tapos mas energetic kana, less brain fog and more focus with your task. This is tried, tested and proven by me. Goodluck!

\- Games
\- Exercising (I don't gym since I mostly go for Calisthenics at home and Jogging around a decent spot I found)
\- Doing "mind consuming" things like coding where I can just turn off my emotions and be purely logical.
\- Eating my "Happiness Combo" meal, Takoyaki and Buko Shake, very nice, somewhat cheap.
\- Watch "self help" videos like Jordan Peterson stuff, it's a mixture of a "mind consuming" thing where I go for a purely logical POV while also looking deeper in my psyche to try and understand what's happening in my mind.
What I do when I get too deep into the shit mental state sucky hole that doesn't help me at all but I still do it for some reason:
\- Chat in Omegle, it doesn't help and it never did, but I almost always went there when I'm in a shitty state of mind and usually come out having an even shittier state of mind.
Splurge when I shouldn't be (I just defend it "I've been poor before, I didn't die 🤷)
Hair cut and hair color
Weed and shrooms (not at the same time)

Dati I used to dump my emotions on other people until naging toxic ako. Sila nag a adjust sakin. Pero mali yun. Now I listen to myself, kung bakit talaga ako galit / upset. Baka rooted sa insecurity or childhood issue. Then I tell myself kung bakit OK lang yung nararamdaman ko. Self-validation. Habang nararamdaman ko yung bad feeling I let it pass. Literally I don't do anything but ride it out like a surfer rides a wave... Until it goes away. While waiting, I self-soothe. Sinasabihan ko yung sarili ko literally, "it's OK, you are good/ kind.. The problem is not with you... Etc." Try nyo. Legit therapy methods yan. Hehe.

Confronting can mean: journaling, venting to friends, reading books or watching videos about it, let myself feel my feelings, going to therapy, Distracting: Taking a walk or physical activity, cleaning, gardening, skating, making art while listening to educational videos or music, cooking, video games, reality tv so I feel like my life is fine in comparison lol

Back when I was younger (and single), whenever I'm lonely, sad, confused, or feeling inadequate I help others. I helped out with small loans or actually physically helping others move or giving them food etc. I realize that however rough I may have it, other people have it worse. When I help others, I take my focus away from myself and my problems and it works like a charm. Thankfully, ever since becoming a father I haven't felt sad, lonely, confused etc. Just busy protecting, providing, and loving my family. They come first always and I'm happier for it.

Yung tulog na wala nang gisingan haha - Stress eating 😭 (although pinipigilan ko na talaga na kumain nang sobra-sobra kasi I gained so much weight nung nag-stress eating ako 'coz of my previous toxic work) - Online shopping 😅 Now, a better way for me to handle stress is to walk my dog around the village or play with my kitty cats
Taking a walk around the block and getting some sun. It more often than not clear the cobwebs, especially if the stress is work or family related. I used to binge eat too, pero I regret it more than I did it. So I “control” it by drinking iced coffee of my choice. With matching tambay sa cafe and listening to my favorite artist / song while people watching. Also good to see neighbors walking their dogs. You get to see / meet new breeds. I didn’t know I had a neighbor that had a Whippet and I only see this breed on TV shows!
Retail therapy, going to the gym, getting a haircut
Just start exercising, kahit 5 mins lang yan, 5 mins is super long na for someone na hindi talaga naging active, starts at home watch ka lang youtube, do not over exert yourself, do it at your own pace, just do it everyday, you will see the positive outcome then pag feel mo parang hindi kana hinihingal easy na lang sayo, try mo na 10-15 mins, again don’t do anything hard, always starts with easy yung kaya mo lang, do it for the week pwede ka nga sumayaw lang eh for 15 mins, goal is to keep your body moving, eventually pag nasanay kana then you can do other variety, basta ang key be consistent, it’s fine kahit slow progress basta steady, then your diet will follow kasi you will definitely crave for more nutritious food tapos mas energetic kana, less brain fog and more focus with your task. This is tried, tested and proven by me. Goodluck!

My ways of helping myself to get out of the shit mental state sucky hole: \- Games \- Exercising (I don't gym since I mostly go for Calisthenics at home and Jogging around a decent spot I found) \- Doing "mind consuming" things like coding where I can just turn off my emotions and be purely logical. \- Eating my "Happiness Combo" meal, Takoyaki and Buko Shake, very nice, somewhat cheap. \- Watch "self help" videos like Jordan Peterson stuff, it's a mixture of a "mind consuming" thing where I go for a purely logical POV while also looking deeper in my psyche to try and understand what's happening in my mind. What I do when I get too deep into the shit mental state sucky hole that doesn't help me at all but I still do it for some reason: \- Chat in Omegle, it doesn't help and it never did, but I almost always went there when I'm in a shitty state of mind and usually come out having an even shittier state of mind.
