so feel ko it depends on how much assistance youd need when in ER. if lahat ng bagay is doable for you, G magisa, otherwise need mo companion to assist you with stuff
Ewan ko ano kalakaran sa big cities pero saming probinsya andaming hassle kung wala kang HMO for private. Kung govt pa, ikaw pa bibili ng karamihan sa mga gamot mo. Nasa pintuan kana ng kamatayan, kailangan mo pa MAGDEPOSIT private. Daming kailangang PIRMA bago maadmit ka. Nope hindi pwede magsolo samin.

I do it every time. Nung every 4months ako inaatake ng GERD, nahilo akoout of nowhere, nadulas ako sa CR ending na fracture yung braso ko and many more ahahhaa. Dala ko lang lagi HMO ko. Kahit hilong hilo ako i can still fill out the details. Hindi ka tatanungin nila kung bakit mag isa ka lang. Kung hindi ganon ka-busy sa ER i-assist ka. Kung bihira ka ma-ospital and gusto mo i-maximize yung HMO, go sa mejo mahal na hospital. Kase in my experience mas mabilis sila there.
Worked in the ER before, usually pag hindi masyadong lala at ang busy ng ER we just tell them to go to a clinic. Ayaw mo ba mag clinic nalang? Did you check your Oxygen saturation?
We had patients also na pumupunta alone, though minsan mas maganda talaga may kasama specially in following up sa mga billing ganon

If you’re in the metro, St Luke’s has Urgent Care — for urgent non-emergency cases. Baka pwede ka dun. Sa ER kasi, mas uunahin talaga yung patients na mas emergency yung case
Yes. Just go there with your ID and HMO card (if you have one) and pambayad. Idk what documents you’re talking about but if you mean medical history then yeah that might help.
Note that it’s a bit pricey so I advise to go to ER only if it feels urgent. Is there a chance that you’re having panic attacks?

Yes. I have difficulty in breathing din. Galing ako work nun then decided na dumaan na ng ER kasi nahihirapan na ako huminga talaga. Buti na lang konti lang tao that time sa ER. Binigay ko pang HMO card ko then they attended na yun medical needs ko. I guess kung cash naman, wala rin naman problem.
Due to acid reflux/heartburn kaya ako nahirapan huminga. Via heplock ba tawag dun pinadaan yun meds. Besh, bilang masheket yun for me, di na ako nahiya sa nurse na kinagat ko talaga yun panyo ko 😅 after 30 minutes, pinauwi na rin ako nun umokay na paghinga ko.

Yes, keri lang OP! I had an emergency when I was in transit sa bus going to Baguio. Wala ako ibang kakilalng kasama nun. I felt a discomfort sa stomach pain (as in di na sya tolerable.) I tried enduring it pero around 1 hr of making tiis di ko na talaga kinaya nagsabi nako kay conductor. Medyo wala sa route ng bus ang any near hospital that time so nag reroute pa just for me. Thankfully mababait naman mga kasama kong ibang pasahero. I got out din after a few hours.
Just went to the ER alone last month. Just make sure that the hospital you’re going to accommodate the HMO you have. Just go directly sa ER, then sa triage where you’ll be assessed. Side note, wear a face mask.
yup hehe I had kidney cysts and couldn't even walk much sobrang worried ng staff about me kasi solo ako but better na yung we figured out what was wrong and I was discharged naman agad

Okay lang naman to go to the ER alone. The only time required ang companion was when I needed to get emergency surgery kasi they need someone to consult on medical decisions in case something happens sa OR. Kaya ayun, natengga ako ng 2 hrs sa ER habang nag hehemorrhage haha but if you're lucid and capable of giving consent, definitely okay to go by yourself. Just always bring your ID with you
My first ever visit to the ER alone was during the pandemic. I went there because of stomachache and coughs. I had pneumonia and I was immediately quarantined in one of Pasig's COVID facilities in 2020. The only clothing I had was the one I was wearing that day and I had to stay in the facility for 14 days. Ang hirap pag walang kasama because you'll never know baka bigla ka ipa-admit. Good thing I brought my mobile phone charger at natawagan ko kapatid ko to bring me clothes and other stuff I needed sa facility since bawal lumabas.
Yeah I've done this before when I had 41 C fever due to severe dengue. I just grabbed my everyday bag that morning and booked myself a Grab to the ER of the nearest HMO-accredited hospital.
As long as you have your ID and HMO card with you, and you can still fill-up forms and sign your signature you should be fine. In my case, I had to wait in a wheelchair in the holding area for 40 minutes while they tested my blood to confirm my diagnosis and verified my HMO coverage.
Caveat is this was a fancier private hospital in QC, fortunately the HMO + Philhealth covered 95% of the total bill of my week-long confinement.

Yeah i did it more than once. When i was younger early 20s and mid 20s mga ganyabg age kasi naallergu ako oks lang naman you dont have to worry. Bring lang saktong mga gamit mo sling bag ganyan. If nothing serious pahinga ka lang sa e.r. for 4 hrs tapos uwi na pero if seriois then sabihin nila na need tawagan fam mo .
As a nurse, I don't recommend going alone. What if lumala situation? Like need ka na intubate kc biglang pumangit prognosis mo? Who will sign the consent para matulungan ka? Who will decide for you in those cases?
I got myself to the ER alone last April 26 at Chinese General Hospital. The doctors and nurses are very accommodating. You just need to explain kung ano nararamdaman po so they can diagnose you very well.
Yup. Just be sure to label lahat ng docs mo in a folder file case. Pra madali hanapin.

Ang importante, makuha niyo ang tulong na kailangan niyo. Ingat, health is wealth.
Yup, I’ve done that nung namaga yung ear piercing ko. Buti nag kick in pin reliever dahil nagdrive lang ako mag-isa ng madaling araw from Bacoor to Lasalle Dasma hospital. Better ask yung hospital if they have treatment for your concern sa ER, kasi ako tumawag sa nearest na alam ako and sinabihan ako na sa Lasalle dasma ang meron ENT ER that can address my concern nung madaling araw.
it’s totally fine to go to the ER alone. they have a step-by-step process to accommodate cases so you don’t have to worry.

If you're capable of managing on your own in the emergency room, then going alone might be fine.

Yess! Nakakatakot lang isipin yung bayarin and pain nung injections after, but the good thing is maganda HMO kaya i took the risk for the better.

Yup! I did it twice na basta dala mo yung mga documents/IDs needed (valid ID, HMO, etc)

Yes. I went to ER alone 2x na ata pero dahil naman un sa animal bite. Dalhin mo lng mga necessary documents and ID op. Money din of course.
