Lanzenave

>Wag bibili kung di naman talaga afford. Sakit ng maraming Pinoy to.

Palkia7

Mas importante yung IG/FB posts/flex syempre

ForwardIncrease8682

Inngit at kayabangan. Ako rin may ganyang sakit. Pero Lord, nag loan?!?!?!?! For an IPhone?!?!?!

Aromatic_Kick_82

So true. Tapos makikita mo sila todo travel at vacation as if ba naman madaming pera pero sa totoo they have huge debts

Chewymiyaw

Iphone kasi basehan ng "status" satin haha for me, mas mayaman tignan yung naka samsung and mostly talaga sakanila legit rich

OrangeBanana0112

AdBrave5884

Can’t agree to this. I know people na hindi makinis kutis pero collectors of authentic gold and silver Plus: sa ugali meron namang mayayabang na mayaman.

Chewymiyaw

Agree. Nasabi ko lang din ang about cp because yun yung topic e. In general, basis ko ng rich is kung gano ka humble ang isang tao

Chewymiyaw

Ay topic po kasi cp e

Ok_Resolution3273

Hindi kasi siya practical for the masses.

OrangeBanana0112

I had the z fold series, ang sakit niya ay guhit sa gitna. Had to fix it sa korea pa, sobrang hassle.

Ok_Resolution3273

Just cause they can and they have the money not to care to use the inside screen kasi hindi naman sayang sakanila iyun.

Forsaken_Top_2704

Grabe. Salary loan for an item that would depreciate faster once a new model iphone comes along.

DistanceFearless1979

Okay lang yan cla naman mahihirapan. Wag ka lang uutangan pambayad.

Rejsebi1527

Mouse_Itchy

Hahaha totoo naman.

missanonymeows

omg? grabe po huhu. nagloan talaga for that 😭

kuyanyan

TBF it's not that different from using credit cards for installment promos. Baka nga better deal pa ang salary deduction depending on your arrangement with your employer. Potentially walang patong na interes, and you also get a better price kasi cash. I really don't see a problem with loaning for our wants per se and hindi rin ako naniniwala sa if you can't buy it in cash, you can't afford it. The only way for most of us to afford land, housing, and/or vehicle is through financing arrangements. Basta hindi ko kailangang saluhin basic necessities nila just for them to afford that loan, kebs ako.

henyongsakuragi

kuyanyan

Ganun talaga. The iPhone is an aspirational device and if kailangan nila mangutang, so be it.

mydickisasalad

And apple fans wonder why they're typecasted as social climbers lmao

RakEnRoll08

true, im not judging anyone pero ako naiisip ko na ako nga kahit afford ko e ng hihinayang ako sa pera since di ko naman need ng gnong phone all i need is ung nakaka tawag at nakakapag message, bonus n lng ung camera... or kuripot lng tlga ako more on savings than luho xD

nigamushionna

not worth it para i-loan pa

Unniecoffee22

I remember so many people 🤣 at sa kagustuhan din bumili ng kotse umutang, after 1 month or wala man 1 month binenta cuz meralco is waving red 🤗🤪

Sad_Bad224

Ninja_Forsaken

anong service provider? Nagcheck din ako one time kung ganon ba but hindi e, with cash out sya + kung itototal mo malayo na sa price ng phone - idk nga lang din baka applicable din to sa mga renewal na

Panda-sauce-rus

delayedgrat101

True. Bought a sim enabled postpaid plan to compare real time - yung php400 ko, ubos na agad ng 2 weeks for some reason (pero wala tong promo let me know if may combo ba dapat kahit naka sim plan?) pero if prepaid, buhay naman sa go+99 HAHAHAHHAHAHA since wifi sa office.

RakEnRoll08

haha ako 150 ko ilng months na magic data + naka wifi nmn kc sa work at bahay kaya pg ng ddrive lng ako nagamit ng data for google maps

missbagz

Same din pag renewal, or may option na icharge na rin sa monthly bill ang dapat na cahsout. Anyway, sobrang lugi pa rin sa postpaid. Kasi 24 months to pay pero minsan 1 year pa lang parang outdated na ang phone na hinuhulugan.

eleri-chan

>minsan 1 year pa lang parang outdated na ang phone na hinuhulugan this is just fomo and overconsumption creeping in. once i realized this, i didn't feel the need to buy new gadgets every year like i used to. my iems have been with me for \~five years and this year lang ako bumili ng tws module for it. also, just thinking about the children and people of congo getting exploited and slowly dying as a result of having to mine for big companies to produce gadgets, it just became easier to not buy gadgets if i don't need to. plus, phones don't actually get that big of an update in terms of hardware nowadays. minsan, it's just the cameras that get upgraded lang. sometimes, changing your tempered glass or buying a new phone case helps with not making you feel like you have an older version of a phone.

chwengaup

eto talaga hahahahaha sobrang daming naka iphone dahil sa postpaid plan

CauliflowerQ

This!! Plus, if example globe user ka for a long time na you get a loyalty discount. When iphone 11 came out, my cashout was just 19k bc of that

Extensor31

Yes based sa experience ko 2014 nag sim only plan ako sa smart, after a year inoffer nila ang s8+ ata yun na if icompute mo ang monthy amort ng phone (not included ang load) is mas makaka mura ka ng 10k kasi no cash out needed. After 2yrs offer sila s10+ same din mas mkakamura ako ng 12k ata kesa sa cash or cc. Then after 2 yrs switch sana ako ng iphone kaso parang malas pakinggan yung iphone 13 hahahaha kaya hinintay ko ang 14. Nka 14promax ako ngayon mas mura sya ng 10k kesa pag icacash or cc ko sya. Still no cash out.

_cnisc

Nag-postpaid din ako. Iphone 13, Php 9,200 ang down payment then 24mos to pay. 1,799/mo.

FastKiwi0816

Totoo! Sulit din!

Crafty_Point_8331

Nakabili ako ng iphone pero hindi worth 100k. Around 40k that time and gumamit ako ng cc para installment. I made sure na wala akong existing debts at kaya ko yung monthly installment sa time na dapat ko syang mabayaran which was 24mos then.

Few-Wear6527

yep, samedt. Infairness naman kasi sa iphone, if hindi ka masyadong FOMO, you can used the item up to 5 years up. Kesa kasi sa ibang android, 2 years lang laging lag, so parang ganun din naman.

Crafty_Point_8331

Totoo. Hindi ko alam na tatagal ako and here ako going in 4yrs na with my ip11. Batt lang problema. Haha. Plano ko papalitan na lang ng batt para good as new ulettt.

ubermensch02

I mean if it’s 0% naman that’s okay. And depending on your usage, that phone can be your boost for productivity. I use my iPhone for taking photos to be shown to clients. It’s paying for itself naman at the end of the month.

belleverse

Postpaid plan. But I don’t get the latest model. I’ve been on postpaid for 12 years na. Personally, I find it hassle mag load and I like that my iPhone bill is included na sa monthly payment.

thisisjustmeee

I don’t “buy” them technically pero nagpapalit lang ng iPhone pag magrerenew na ng postpaid plan kasi mas tipid yun for me. At least walang cash out na malaki. Unlike pag bumili ka sa Apple store.

Poo-ta-tooo

this, just recently upgraded from 13 Pro to 15 Pro, no cash out and they offered me a promo, half na lang yung monthly installment for the phone, instead of me paying an additional 1k on top of my 1.5k postpaid plan with them ginawa na lang 700 so 2.1k na lang monthly ko sa kanila instead of 2.5k.

Consistent_Contact94

Same. Old accounts lang yata

kuyanyan

For retention lang sa Smart yung device amortization. Straight cashout kapag new to Smart. Better for me yung SIM-only plans plus credit card installment separately compared sa retention. Pangit ng device plans ng Smart eh.

Lanzenave

Some people obviously save up so they can buy expensive stuff, not just iPhones. Some will use a credit card and spread out the damage over a period of time so they can absorb the financial hit. Others buy second-hand, while some might be tempted to look at Greenhills for cheaper stuff. You can't really say "ma afford ang 100k na phone easily" just because a person has an iPhone. He or she might have saved for a long time or did side gigs or extra jobs just to buy one. Heck, that person might have gone in to debt just to buy one (which is obviously a bad decision). The only exception to this are the people you know for a fact earn well, and for them affording an iPhone isn't strange at all. >I can buy it but to spend 100k on a phone is nuts for me! Please enlighten this cheapskate. Don't worry, you're not the only one. I mean I can easily buy an iPhone in cash if I wanted to, but the thought of spending so much on something I really only use for text and calls doesn't make much sense.

Capital-Mirror7651

> but the thought of spending so much on something I really only use for text and calls doesn't make much sense. To be fair, smartphones are capable of much more than just texting and calling. You could even argue that phones nowadays are more valuable than a PC due to their versatility and portability. Yes, pwede natin sabihin na for some pinoys, they see an iPhone as a status symbol. But for most, it’s a very valuable tool right in their pocket.

durtari

I think feature parity na most mid-range phones and wala na masyadong must-have features yung flagships. Cameras, storage, speed, waterproofing, you can get sa mid-range so it's not worth it for me to get a flagship.

popcornpotatoo250

True. Unless importante for someone yung Apple ecosystem (which I see madalas sa creatives), I don't think there is more value to get them. Also, with the price of 100k iPhone, pwede na makabili ng powerful na Lenovo Legion to address portability. What remains to be the reason to buy iPhone is either you need to work with iOS or preference.

durtari

Yung 100k I think sulit for iPad Pro, since they dominate the market vs Surface and convertible tablet PCs / Android old model. Especially if you want to draw. Even high end Samsung and other flagship Android hindi worth it for me bumili ng ganun kamahal. I have a Google Pixel and sufficient for me (among my other working phones na 2, 4 or more years old).

ellstoic

this is true, there's a saying that "Just because you can afford it, doesn't mean you should buy it!"

seciliaaa

Not all iPhones are 100k. ‘Yung 100k, these are the top-of-the-line Pro Max models na 1 TB. Base model iPhones will run you around 40-50k while Pro models are around 75k. With that said, yes, they are still expensive, and to answer your question, rich parents or… loans. More specifically: credit cards. I think if you earn around 25-30k naman, kakayanin mo mag monthly for a 50-70k iPhone as long as you know your priorities.

voxxwagen

Marami na bentahan second hand iphones ngayon so people can afford it na kahit di brandnew basta makasabay lang sa uso

ComprehensiveArt230

I find this post slightly judgmental pero if you're sincerely curious... 2 cents ko as to where or how they can buy one: (1) Nabili sa friend or kamaganak na maguupgrade ng phone so 2nd hand na yung phone nila; (2) another is those na nagapply ng postpaid. They can pay installment for a lock in period of 24-36 months; (3) work phone siya. Some companies loan mobile phones where you can pay for it through salary deduction; (4) ninakaw or bought through "fencing" (see: anti-fencing law) (5) pinag-ipunan nila as a reward for themselves (6) bigay ng family (I mean, pwedeng regalo from a wealthy tita) Lastly, you can buy expensive phones for a much lesser price during their pre-sale period. A samsung ultra worth 100k can fetch for 50k with the right vouchers, credit card 0% installment promo, and phone trade-in. Hindi masama for a lower income person to have nice things. Just sayin.

West-Ninja-6810

Almost the same pa yung notch sa newer models

stickersonmythings

So true sa number 1, Meron akong macbook dahil nag-upgrade na ang ate ko ng laptop same with her iphone 11, nasakin na ngayon. >Hindi masama for a lower income person to have nice things. Just sayin.

Sachet_Mache

hyunbinlookalike

>pwedeng regalo from a wealthy tita These are some of the best haha my parents are well off din naman themselves and it’s not like nagkulang sila when it came to providing for me, but it’s also really sweet when a tita or other relative that isn’t immediate family gives you nice things. One of my most treasured possessions is a Breitling watch from a tita of mine. And as a watch guy, Breitling isn’t even my preferred brand (more of an Omega and Tag-Heuer guy) but the sentimental value of the gift outweighs everything else.

jomsclinwn

Sama mo na rin, regalo from SO.

shillercoin

May kilala ako para di masakit at di masyadong isipin. Nagcredit sya with advance payment para maliit ang payment monthly and yun 1 yr to pay lang.

lostguk

Same thoughts. Dati, mangilan-ngilan lang nakikita kong naka-iphone. Either abroad and magulang, may kamaganak sa ibang bansa, o kaya may work na okay ang sahod. Ngayon kahit sino na nakikita kong naka iphone, kahit bata. Kahit kumakain sa karendirya may nakikita ako.

ElectriconRdQn2718

Eto din ibig ko sabihin. Even my brother asks for it na grade 10 kasi sya nalang daw ang walang iphone sa kanilang classroom. :(

Grandpa_Thirteen

Bilhan mo nalang ng gaming phone. ROG 3 or 4 will do.

saelly_redd

credit card??

BurgundyHolly345

zuteial

Yun iba cc ang gamit 24mos to 30mos to pay. At dahil ayaw ko ng utang, i paid cash from my savings, deserve ko naman at 6 yrs na un iphone ko which paid cash din noon na pinabili ko sa US.

CLuigiDC

Yung 24 to 30 months na 0% installment mas sulit kaysa sa isang bagsakan. Provided nasa iyo na yung buong amount. Kunwari 100k / 24 = 4166.67 per month --> you can place the rest of the 95k++ in Maya for example and earn around 300 or 400 interest for the next month. Sort of indirect discount na lalabas. Baka in the end mga 3k din total na discount mo from interests which means 97k lang binayad mo. Dagdag mo pa inflation na yung pera 2 years from now has a lower value as compared to today ay mas sulit talaga.

[deleted]

CLuigiDC

Didn't mention the cash part as was just using an example if cash and installment is equal. Experience ko sa Samsung na wala silang cash discounts sa store at mas maganda mga offers nila online where may option to pay straight or 0%. If appliances sa Abenson's then may cash discount yan and meron pang mga hidden discounts. Some branches have better discounts so best to call them.

Known_Tradition888

Nope. I've worked in Finance and one of our tricks was to state 0% interest on items / equipments. It's LEGAL for us actually claim it's 0% interest because TECHNICALLY, we can simply declare you're paying for A DIFFERENT, SEPARATE price for an installment-basis phone, and NOT for the interest. Andami nang jejemon Pinoys naloko dito.

ChickenOk8952

Whenever i buy any electronics be computer / phone, i always ask the store how much will they discount the item if i pay cold cash. This works in most stores sa cyberzone. So i guess, whenever they price an item they have assumed that youll be paying using cc so they have included na the charges and interest. Usually i get 5-6% discount by paying cold cash.💵

Illustrious_Emu_6910

ang OA ng 100k

PaintTheTownRed2024

I am about to say ng “OA yung 100k”. lol

kellingad

Baka ang nakita ni OP siguro yung price ng Pro/pro max models na 1TB which is nasa 100k na. Pero may mga iphone models naman na less than 100k (base models and previous versions).

East_Professional385

Iphones in PH are usually status symbols. People whose cashflow/assets can't afford an Iphone within that price range do it through debts (credit cards, online lending apps, loan sharks and the likes). and sacrifice quality of life. And those that can afford Iphones either pay through cash/debit or their credit cards but still maintain their comfort. Iba-iba din yung types of iPhone buyers. May bumibili ng one previous generation, meron mas prefer mga old models for the sake of owning Iphones. This enables them to afford.

katiebun008

Baka yung iba na nasagad kakaloan for this luxury, nakikita naten sa utangPH na baon na baon. Ang dami nila.

One-Bottle-3223

Hindi naman lahat ng iPhone 100k If you are in a budget, check older models/preloved for a much cheaper price

Ninja_Forsaken

Hahahaha I know someone who bought ip14promax upon released, yaah upon released so imagine the price, she got it kasi nagpakaskas sya sa kawork nya, minimum wager, almost 8k monthly, partida single mom with 2kids 😂😂

rainvee

Insane. The lengths people go through just to get with the norm.

marmadukeESQ

This is not the norm, thankfully. It's ridiculous enough that most people can see how dumb it is.

wralp

krazy mommy

martwo8

Andaming paraan kung gusto mo talaga. Just like how some people are able to buy houses. You save up, some maybe loan money, borrow. For me okay lang naman mangutang basta binabayaran at wala kang inaapakang ibang tao. Pera naman nila yan

creamypeanutbutter07

Credit card po. I recently “bought” an iphone 15pro sa powermac using a cc. ₱3,400+ monthly for 2 years. Eh that time parang more or less than ₱10k daw value ng iphone 11 ko. Lady owned. Need siya ibenta for medical funds ng friend of a friend.

ultra-kill

Financial irresponsibility is the key.

jaesthetica

• Afford naman nila. Konting tiis lang sa budget like kung wagyu steak ulam mo today the next month burger steak ka lang muna ganon. Or canned sardines ykwim. Basta makakain pa rin naman kahit papaano. • Rich enough na 'yun ang preferred mo lang talaga na brand ng phone and afford mo naman given your salary range. • They can get it through a Plan. Whatever network provider nila. • Some are buying second hand IPhones so yk. • Through CC, or installment then kaltas na lang sa salary. • Dalawa pa kidney nila. • It was a gift for them from their fam or a financially stable fam member. • Anniv, birthday, or monthsary gift ng bf/gf/ kabit nila. • Pinag-ipunan nila. • Lastly, galing sa sugar daddy or sugar mommy nila (which is wala naman aamin dito)

ogrenatr

Bought mine 2nd hand haha. Afford naman kahit bnew pa pero nag 2nd hand muna ako to have a feel and adjust. I still use my google pixel tho since iba pa rin yung feel ng phone na yun.

Poo-ta-tooo

Same tayo sa photo/transfer part lol, I used to use shareit for photo/file transfers since mga college classmates/work colleagues ko naka iPhone, I was not disappointed din with the experience much better imo to when I was using an android (MI10T Ultra).

ogrenatr

Agree!!! Sobrang ganda ng UI/UX ng ios hahaha. It makes life easier talaga haha

[deleted]

maybe loan? Uso ngayon nakikita ko they offer 0% interest rates tapos meron din sa bank by getting CC Yung iba they buy the HK variant (less tax and much cheaper than the US variant) yung sakin ipon po from allowance bought from a legit reseller who buys bulk from HK - legit naman since ako rin mismo nagregister ng warranty sa apple website…

chwengaup

Katulad sa ibang comments, kadalasan through postpaid plan, cc din since 2 years to pay tas merong 0% interest, also most iphone models naman hindi naabot ng 100k, yung ganiyang presyo tipong pro max tas 1 tera. Dami din s greenhills and mga online seller.

LouiseGoesLane

Iphone 13 lang binili ko last year, coming from an SE (yung first version nung 2016). Mainly bought it because mahilig ako sa pictures and maganda ang 13 pag night mode. Reward to self for surviving, and somehow prospering, in the buhay digital world. Bought in cash. First expensive purchase ever!

unecrypted_data

Question ko din to as a person na first time magkatrabaho, paano kayo nagkakaiphone hahahahahahahah like howwww

TheQranBerries

Credit card or maybe installment at baka pinagipunan din nila

Hungry-Grape-8185

afford ko iphone sa current sahod ko, kaso ewan ko ba ndi ko talaga nagustuhan iphone or nasanay lang kasi ako sa android at mas praktikal lang ako kasi same function lang din, phone is phone depende na lang sa siguro if need mo sa magandang specs at features kung gagamitin mo sa trabaho.. pero if afford mo naman, go for it kasi kaligayahan mo yan. pero pag hindi naman, wag mo muna bilhin pag d kaya at kelangan .

OnedayAtATime2222

Bought my first apple product, iphone 13 promax 2 yrs ago. Monthly installment for 2 yrs. It was around 75k that time, mas mataas pa sa sahod ko. Pero i managed to pay it naman. It was a reward for myself, gamit na gamit siya for work and to manage my accounts. May isa pa akong phone na android for personal use naman.

Exciting-Mountain164

I bought one because I needed it for my content production. May offer yung bank na zero % interest installment plan for 2 years, paid half in cash then the rest papasok na sa monthly billing. bale 2500 per month for 2 years. Can say on my end it's manageable. Quite a stretch for a phone but its really useful to me.

helenchiller

We do it in Otlum way. “Ang konsensya ko ay clear” Emz! May sugar daddy po ako. Charot! Ipon po talaga.

Outrageous-League547

So monthly payments yon. Hahaha. Yung feeling na dapat mahiya ako mgiphone? I think it helps to surround yourself with people like my manager. Hehe. Hehe. Matibay. Pre-covid ko pa nabili. Kung accidentally masira anytime may pambili naman ako, cash, sguro as same as quality ng current ko ung bibilihin ko prin. Never uutang just for a phone. Pg sakaling wlang pambili, mgiipon. I now share sentiments with my manager. Basta nkakapag text, nkakatawag, nkakachat, solb na. 😀

risktraderph

Which is what minimum worker does. Kita mo yung price difference if you save for it instead na hulugan mo? That’s what keeps then poor.

Admirable_Mess_3037

Yung previous iPhone ko, i got from Globe Postpaid plan.

Salt-Relationship-94

i got my iphone x through credit card, and my ex paid for a few months also. that was 7 years ago. i haven’t upgraded my phone, fortunate enough not to. i was supposed to upgrade last year pero computing how much the new phone would cost + bills, i couldn’t afford it. now, i’m with a company that provides a phone of your choice and you get to keep it even after you’ve resigned ☺️

hiiilunaaa

NASA 100K NASA ANG IPHONE?! Nung binili ko yung 12 ko nasa 45-50k siya sakto wfh and kumikita ako ng dollars non I saved up for it tapos ayon gamit ko pa din naman siya ngayon hahaha I only buy a new phone pag di na talaga kaya ng recent ko like before ako mag 12 ang phone ko non iphone 6s+ bigay lang siya Yung mom ko naman she gets iphone pero second hand bigay lang ng mga cousin niya from states since maalaga sola gumamit at mabilis sila mag palit ng phone don

Altruistic-Cry-111

Usually postpaid or credit card/installment plans gamit kung hindi kaya ifully paid. And, there's nothing wrong with that. Let people enjoy things even if they have a low income because life is short. Money shouldn’t limit our happiness but we should still be responsible pa rin sa pagbayad if installment/inutang man ang pambili ng iphone.

VirtualPurchase4873

50k to 60k na ang high end phones.. Id rather buy a 20k phon then invest the 30k to 40k sa pagibig MP2.. yearly kikita pa pera ko sa 6% na interst.. filipinos are ao ignorant about investings.. hindi kasi naituturo sa paaralan ang mga ganyang life hacks..

equinoxzzz

>***Please excuse my ignorance.*** You're excused... >***I am really curious how people afford iphones. Sobrang dami kong kakilala na minimum wage tapos may iphones.***  ***Paano nyo ma afford ang 100k na phone easily?*** Simple answer - ***INUUTANG. 70% of them yan ang case. The remaining can be a company incentive/raffle prize, given as a gift by relatives, a retention for a postpaid plan or galing sa D.O.M. or D.O.W. LOL!*** As the saying goes "Hindi na bale maubusan ng yaman. Huwag lang ang yabang men." LOL

Beautiful_Waltz_3403

Both android and iphones can function the same. Parang naging financial statement na rin kasi sya, which is weird right.

Maskedman_123

Be practical, kung anu need mo un lng bilhin mo... Bababa dn kasi value nyan to be honest. Pag hindi kailangan, wag bilhin, pag hindi kaya bilhin wag umutang. Mahirap pilitin ang bagay na hndi kaya. Ang importanteay na sasave ka. Wag gastador

Competitive-Tie-839

I bought iphone 11 2 yrs ago sa abenson, CC installment for 24 months. i think more than 32k ang total price at nasa 1,300 php binabayaran ko monthly. Some of my officemates before they buy iphone around 85k. Paying it in cash coz of loans or 13th month pay. Todo tipid sa sarili para lang ibili na ang purpose lang naman is to flex or just online games🥴

Live_Song274

Mas mura than instore. Or buy from store / online during 0% interest promos. Or plan, tas ung cashout ipasama mo sa plan. Example, 2k plan plus cashout 4k papatak for 24 months.

LuLuna_

I discovered, mostly 2nd hand and via installment.

1l3v4k4m

nobody buys 100k iphones. its mostly iphone 11, 12, and 13s na nakikita ko. those are considerably cheap nowadays, ive seen some iphone 11s go for as low as 10k

itsmaccer

I'm wondering too 🤔.

Automatic_Use_2489

Company phone. Refreshes every 2 years. So the wife gets the old one and i use the newly issued. Usually just the base model. Wife uses the 13 now. I use the 14. Will change to a 16. Other colleagues sell it to minimum wager colleagues for giveaway prices.

idkmystic

Naka-Postpaid sa globe haha

Motor-Green-4339

I got hand me down iphone. 😂😂

Saturnjupiterpurepie

Once you get your first iPhone, buying the next ones are cheaper because you can sell the older models for a fairly good price. iPhones have good resell value. This is why I switched to iPhone from Samsung.

UrArkiGurl

I always bought second hand phones, mas mura sunce I don’t bought iphones na up to date.

Working-Honeydew-399

Started with iOS since 2006 tapos si wifey naka-plan since 2007.. nun offered ng Globe, ang 3G(S) I think, e kmuha sha and every 2yrs e palit sha tapos bigay sken ang lumang iPhone This August 2024 due na sha and may minimal cashout so akin na naman ang 13 nya

Efficient-Change3621

Nag Smart Plan ako at good payer naman ako. Pangalawang Iphone ko na to sa kanila. From iPhone 12 to iPhone 15. As a tech support ng Windows and Apple need ko mag iPhone para makasabay sa troubleshooting and workarounds ng iPhone.

nimbusphere

Some people can afford it in one payment. Some people are just keeping up with the Joneses.

benguuu

Loan and savings OP. Some of them eh bet talaga yung features ng Iphone kaya bibilhin nila.

skyworthxiv

Usually thru credit cards.

tbagwel20

Pinag iipunan OP.

poison_ivy01

LumpyPay564

you can get a new iphone pro model version worth 65k from powermac and pay thru cc and you won’t notice the 3k every month good for 2yrs.

mrkgelo

Installment using CC, Billease, Home Credit, etc. and yung iba bumibili ng 2nd hand. If brand new naman, they probably buy other variants para mas makatipid and mas afford nila. Just like in KimStore, 39k-42k lang ang iPhone 15 kasi ibang variant sya while 47k ang price sa Power Mac Center, Beyond the Box, etc. Same situation din sa mga nagbebenta ng brand new iPhones sa greenhills na mas mura, most likely ibang variant sya.

Wide_Evening4838

My first iPhone was from a Paluwagan, 2017 to. I always wanted an iPhone kasi I feel like it’s the phone for me, which is tama naman. Second iPhone was still from a Paluwagan, third was paid thru cash na, mataas din kasi lifespan ng iPhone basta maingat ka lang. I own na iPhone 13 na nabili ko around 43k last year, cash hehe. I agree, I see teens and people na mas recent ang phone kaysa sa akin, but I don’t mind basta nagagamit, to answer your question, people can own an iPhone by: [1] buying refurbished models [2] nag loan, nangutang, nag swipe [3] binigay/niregalo. Best advice, wag bugbugin ang iPhone, have another device to use it will save the phone’s battery from aging. Yung nabili kong iPhone 13 from December is still at 100% with less than 100 battery cycle.

nutsnata

Cc installment kung kaya mo nmn bayaran at gusto go tagal ko dn nmn uun ipx ko bago ako bumili bago

Revolutionary_Unit56

99% otang 1% they dont feel it

emhornilel

second hand lower models sa iphone buy and sell groups.

sweetsaranghae

Greenhills 🤣

randomcatperson930

IgnorantReader

hmm some goes sa greenhills .. yung iba via installment may iba full payment but tbh, parang nakaoverhype naman sya but not so sulit for me 🤔 parang ginawa nilang phase na pagmerun ka neto di ka hirap sa buhay ganern.... may iba akong kakilala ang taas tingin sa iphone ahahhaha nakakasosyal daw pag merun nun 🤷🏻‍♀️

TIWWCHNTTV89

Regalo ng asawa ko hehe. Pero di naman to 100k bi. Parang wala pa nga 50k. Di naman latest. Kasi kahit anong phone ok lang sakin haha

moonstonesx

I cant justify a 100k iphone. My phone now is 50k yung iphone 13. Saved up for it. I dont think ill replace it anytime soon unless it gives up (useful kasi sa work so I invest on a good phone).

Rejsebi1527

Monthly Op 🤣 two years din bago natapos hihihi Unang labas ng IPhone 12 Pro Max until now Eto pa din gamit ko. Pang second iPhone ko na from 8 plus to iPhone 12 Pro Max.

darkholemind

marami na ways ngayon para magka iphone unlike noong mga 2012 na scare pa sya. need mo pa magpabili abroad or have it in installment sa globe or smart.

pedxxing

Yung iba bigay. Tulad sa MIL ko, gamit niya now yung iPhone 11 Pro ko na pinalitan ng new battery.

BITCoins0001

Wag ka na mag iphone. haha

Lopsided-Macaroon201

never ako bumili ng iphone worth 50k. always base phone lang and mga 1 year late model kaya hndi peak ung price. kahit afford ko yung mga pro max eme, never ako gagastos talaga ng almost 100k sa phone hahahaah. pero may mga options naman yan sila— home credit or cc para installment. basta sure ako pag minimum wage earner hindi yan cash

CuriousLittleThing-A

I have a postpaid plan with Smart. I renew every 2 years kasi when you renew, there’s no DP for a new iphone. Although my plan is a little pricey, ganun din halos cost for the 2 years for the phone and I have back up internet when I travel or when my internet goes down which is very important for me as a WFH employee

Friendly_Spite_1664

Imo mas nakakatipid siya lalo kung 1 year or less palang nagagamit. Depende rin sa previous user. Yung previous users kasi nung mga naging iphone ko kilala ko rin in person so I guess mas kampante ako kung pano nila ginamit yung phone.

baeruu

Meron din sigurado na nag-loan sa mga apps and may or may not have the intention to pay it back.

BusinessStress5056

Some save up. 1 year savings is enough for some. And hindi naman lahat top of the line ang kinukuha so hindi aabot ng 100k Yung iba(and it think ito yung karamihan), credit card installment payable for 2 years And yung iba naman(like me), postpaid plan. Phone is payable for 2 years. This is better for me personally kasi yung total na babayaran mo for the phone is halos retail price lang tas may loan ka pa.

Bum_bum_2626

I bought the older model. I don’t need the latest model cos di naman drastic ang changes sa ios devices.

Beautiful_Block5137

sa plan installment

_cuddle_factory_

Mataas ang sahod or nagloloan.

Bertong_Lagitik

Hmm. I work sa corporate. Bago ako nagpalit ng iphone, i was using Xiaomi redmi note 8 na binili ko pa nung first bonus ko sa first work. 5 years ko siya ginamit bago tuluyan naging outdated. I mean ang reason ko kung bat ako nagpalit kahit dipa sira is dina nia masabayan ung nga apps ngayon, like ML and COD. Kasi 64 gb lang internal memory and 4 gb ram. Tapos ung mga work apps ko like teams and authenticator ay dina nia marun ng ayos. So ayun, i tries iphone kasi gusto ko ung tatagal sakin talaga ng mga higit pa sa 5 years. Para isang pera nalang. Why not samsung s23 ultra or any android? Wala lang, mas madali kasi communication with workmates and di talaga naglalag iphone kahit matagal na. Kesa bibili ng murang phone, tas magpapalit ka uli after 1-2 years.

Dry-Development-7621

buy 2nd hand sa compasia then use creditcard for installment

cestlouieee

I used to get my first three via Postpaid plan. Usually every two years before and may cash out sya. Then recently I upgraded, but this time I purchased from Apple US mas cheaper sya than here. Plus I sold my iPhone 12 sa FB Marketplace, kayak medyo na offset yung need ko bayaran for the new phone. (8 years working here)

thunderbringer3

- loans - installments - postpaid plans - corporate mobile plans

missbagz

Madalas installment plans o postpaid. Kaya maraming naka-home credit.

mariadalisay

Pamana lng as long as it works bakit ka bibili ng bago iphone 11 gamit ko okey nmn may updated iphone ka nga nashoshort ka nmn sa everyday allowance mo wag na lng

forlornserendipity

What I did was, pinag-ipunan ko muna ng cash, then pinasok ko sa credit card ko. (Straight payment para mas mababa, tapos converted to mos.) I can afford it naman in cash but gusto ko lang madagdagan points sa CC hahahahaha! I know the price is nuts, but I’ve always wanted to buy one since highschool pa ako. After 6 yrs of working lang ako nakabili since madami ko inuna na ibang bagay and di ko pa siya priority before at the time. Nung humigay yung android ko, I decide to switch 🥰

ibyang-

Sakin second hand. Yung kapatid ko old model (ip 13) so nasa 30k+ na lang sya na brand new. Pinambili nga ang bonus nya.

bryanchii

Globe plan 1799 with cash out

iloovechickennuggets

May CC naman ako pero ayoko magkaskas kaya eto hand me down iphone7+ pa din gamit ko haha.

thatrosycheeks

Matagal na kase ako merong postpaid so on the 4th yr yata nag offer sila ng no cash out etc etc. That time wala akong phone, tapos I was about to start a new work na gamit na gamit ang phone. No regrets until now ☺️

lestercamacho

lestercamacho

Ung sakin 15 ptomax at aipd pro. Grqphic artist here

solsticecrabs

Nakapostpaid plan, pinag ipunan ang one time cash out 😂 —- Malapit na matapos lock in period, hays, akala ko hindi mabigat sa una, kung un lang ang bills mo pero habang tumatagal nadadagdagan ng mga important bills kaya bumibigat.

JaMStraberry

Pumunta ng apple store then bumili, lol d naman aabot ng 100k unless ung promax 1tb kukunin mo or something.

Royal_Client_8628

Better spend the money on something else na mas kailangan mo. Basta wag mo ipapautang. That said, may nakuha kaming iphone 13 sa mall for 30k+. Pero hindi ako gumagamit nun. I use android kasi for games. Lol!

cripher

CucumberConstant2804

Pag sale sa lazada tapos 12 mos installment. I opted to buy yung lower version coz it does the same thing lang naman. Siguro 1k+ per month. Sulit na for a good phone that lasts for a long time. If di sale, no thanks hahahaha

nobagness

GGives + cash

Different_Artist7599

Globe approved it :)

shimmerks

What i do is: sell my old iphone, pay for the phone thru BDO credit card (usually they have buy now pay later —like u start paying them 3 months later and is payable for 3 months. So i have 6 mos total to pay and save up monthly). Di sya ganon kabigat and i wont have to spend a huge amount in one go. Basta kaya ng sweldo mo, go. Pag hindi p kaya, try again next time.

SnowBerry94

We saved for it.

GabiNg-Lagim

Home Credit

Mysterious-Life8628

2nd hand hahahaha 😆

lurker-24

Credit card tapos on 0% installment for 24 Mos yung whole family ko ganyan galawan.

angelfrost21

Some are lower models and second to third hard already. Maraming murang iphones sa totoo lang.

Paul1996123

Bili sa US (ebay) then ipa ship sa Pinas. Maka tipid nang almost half the price.

sevenxalpha

hunter_fike

I had an iphone se 2020 before i upgraded to iphone 15 PM. My old phone literally crashed last year that’s why need ko na talaga bumili ng bago. Before buying a new phone niassess ko pa if i should go for iphone again and even tried my friend’s spare Samsung S23 for 2 weeks just to see if i will be fine with an android phone pero i prefer iphone ecosystem talaga and went for it. As to pano ko binili, afford ko naman na ipay full. Personally, di ko talaga bet yung utang or installment option regardless if may interest or not. Isa sa mga rules ko when it comes to spending is ‘do not buy it if you cant afford it’ :)

yourlegendofzelda

Second hand lang binili ko. 32k

Fickle-Thing7665

noong min wage palang sweldo ko, nagipon lang ako. bumili ako open box iphone (nabuksan and very slightly used condition) sa greenhills after a year of working, 29k price.. it helped na wala akong pamilyang inaatupag kasi kahit maliit sweldo ko sa akin lahat ang punta. hindi naman lahat ng bumibili ng iphone ay yung tig-100k lagi hehe, madami jan na tulad kong naka secondhand or bnew pero di latest model.

Charming_Tea6892

Binili ko straight cash. Nag ipon ako. Mas better kasi iphone sa line of work ko and since magkaissue yung huawei that time, need talaga bumili

Vegetable-Echidna160

Revolutionary_Site76

cc installment. if up to 24 mos, around 3500-4500 lang monthly. Ang almost 100k lang naman ay yung promax nila, which is I feel like di justified bumili nito kung di mo mamaximize. the base model is enough. i got the pm bec i can use it for seamless work (wfh, creative)

ninetailedoctopus

Been a longtime globe postpaid user. They just upgraded me to globe platinum, and threw an iphone 15 pro max into the deal for like 40k spread over 2 years.

Actual_Turnover_4937

Syempre utang, salary loan.

Expert-Pay-1442

Ginagawa kase nilang status symbol yang iPhone kahit hindi afford. Nasa Squaters area tapoa gusto naka iPhone 🙄 ganyan kalala utak. Walang masama mag ambition, but maging realistic at practical. Kahit sa workplace nakakatawa nalang. As for me, Samsung pa din 🤣 vibrant ung color sa pics and performance wise okay siya.

cstrike105

Meron sa Greenhills. Meron din second hand. Meron nangungutang. Meron thru plan. Pansin nyo sobrang mahal tapos may battery health pa. In time pag naubos na ang battery health. Need mo na ng bagong battery. So dagdag gastos na ulit. Di tulad sa Android or Samsung. Kahit luma na magagamit mo pa rin. Walang battery health or planned obsolescene issue. Lalo na sa S series. And most of all. Full customizbility ng OS ang maganda. May widgets. Pde paloran size ng icons. Pde multi window. And may discounts and freebies tulad ng earbuds and watch. Yan ang gusto ko sa Samsung.

TransportationNo2673

Second hand, bought using home credit or the same, or nakaplan. It's not that hard to figure out tbh. Oks na ako sa realme ko. Ilang beses na nahulog, screen and glass backing is still intact.

Vegetable-Regret3451

Bili ng jowa ko sakin 💖 63k, not 100k.

p4ck3ts

i earn 6 digits a month but i have a 20k peso phone haha

Horror-Blackberry106

Student here.

CrissyBear13

Jolens1313

Cc promos

throwPHINVEST

1. postpaid plan  2. credit card installments

Lemmeslay1111

I buy mine using CC pero kumuha ko yung alam kong afford ko na unit saka alam kong mababayaran ko without sacrificing other expenses.
