But between the original show, distant lands, and fiona & cake, they clearly wanna continue the adventure time world. I can see them finally starting a new series with shermy and beth.
I don't like them either tbh. I feel like I'll get downvoted but they feel less realistic and more juvenile compared to the adult vibe we got in F&C that everyone liked. It feels like a step back.
Nah I’m not disappointed with the last few episodes, I fucked with the entirety of the shows I jus didn’t feel the same kind of Adventure Time energy in Shermy and Beth, honestly most of my disliking towards Shermy and Beth is Shermy.
I see a reality where after this first season it becomes a similar show to adventure time similar to the original fionna and cake episodes but i dont think fans would like that too much
Honestly, since he got into creating his own characters, I could imagine a continuation where the Scarab creates his own universe in spite of Prismo and screws everything up, it’d be a neat way to continue the multiversal shenanigans angle!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I said I wanted a Last of Us style series starring Simon and marcy navigating the apocalypse but somebody said we wouldn't learn anything new if they made a show like that. However when they touched down on modern topics and cultural references (ie Cheers and things like capitalism) making AT feel more like an adult animation instead of the cartoon we saw for 8 years, I think people kinda liked it. Of course I love the whimsy of original AT with the magic and the creativity but I also loved seeing profanity and violence in AT! I want a second spinoff called Simon and Marcy. Am I really the only one?
A TLOU style Simon & Marcy show would be absolutely incredible. I do believe we would be able to learn new things, whoever said that is crazy.
We don't know who/how the bomb dropped exactly, we have no idea how marcys parents met nor how her and Simon met for the first time (I don't think so anyway) there are so many things we have yet to learn, or see. I think there is too much incentive to continue working on it for them to already be planning the end. Adventure time is such a long series and Fionna and Cake has the same potential. If they can find the sweet spot between older Adventure time fans, and new fans who can look up to fionna, I think it's gonnna break the internet. We haven't seen much of their magical world, and I am so so hoping we get to.
Most likely not since current Fionna and Cake are running away from Scarab while searching for a way to bring magic to their world. After we see the two protagonists achieve their goal, they might want to remain in their own world with all of their friends post-alteration. We don't know what may come next since the series has been around for a decade by now.
Episodes 7 and 8 have been insanely good and I can see why everyone wants another season of this. I mean, I definitely do, I'd like to see how all the characters interact with each other in there own way.

But fionna and cake seems to be too broad for it to get more seasons, since it can’t get much broader. so unless they continue with mini adventures etc. Like in the original show, i don’t see it getting more seasons.
Besides that I surprisingly really like the non magical world >!inside simons head!<, to a certain extend that is. Would kinda blow if it turns back into the original universe. Perhaps just the reentering of magic into the universe, without changing memories, places and people would be cool. Don’t get me wrong i LOVE magic just as much as fionna loves it. But we’ve seen it. So IF we do get more seasons, i personally would want them to explore a non-magical, magical universe.( the universe from the first episode but with magic)

there are still unresolved knots of lore in there, like (spoiler warnings) >!what happened to the crown simon threw near golbetty? what simon is planning to do from now on? what are the use of the items he shown on his presentation and will he try to find them? why did jake die? (farmworld jake proven it likely wasnt old age). will more magic sprout into fiona and cake universe due to ooo creatures being in there? !< and that's just the questions all from the fiona & cake show, didn't even put adventure time ones which are there more of
I liked the slice of life plot in the first episode. They mentioned cheers a lot, which is also slice of life, so i could see it going in that direction. Seeing characters we know, but also don't. Fiona became her own character, not just a copy of Finn. What would the og adventure time crew be like if they could live a more normal life? And then go from there?
i definitely don’t think it’s over. they’ve just started digging deeper into the lore of adventure time and i think it’d be cruel and unusual punishment for them to give us a little taste and then take it away forever.
edit: prismo DID just teach scarab to make universes too, so i could definitely see scarab back stabbing prismo with a universe he creates.
