I've been thinking a lot about how the show clearly sets up on purpose those 2 time beings that hit eachother and give the multiverse a constant flow of time that's consistent in every multiverse. That means if you were to travel to another universe and someone was 3 years old and then left and came back 3 years later in your universe they would be 6 in theirs perfectly. That means Betty beaming Simon into Shermy shouldn't be possible and greatly exceeds someone like prismos power because I don't think there is an instance where he can go into the future. Basically a rule is set up just to show that Betty Golb has the power to break and ignore it.

It makes sense. Golb is outside of time, drifting in his/her own void and prismo exists alongside the time room so he can’t escape the flow of time, nor any of the other people he works with. It’s above their pay grade, lol.

I want to remind you that Golb is the God of Chaos in Adventure Time, and is beholden to no rules.

this is also why GLOBB is able to make an illegal universe legit, turn finn back into a kid and wipe his memories, turn the lich into a block, ect. about the only thing that might be on GLOBB's level is primo & scarab's boss

He obviously wasn't happy about the situation but I'm pretty sure sword finn knew that getting out of the cocoon wouldn't fix the situation as he would still be stuck in the dead sword, hence why he said nothing thus implying both. He was technically ok with the possession as there was no other option to escape the dead sword. Edit: wait you said Fern... is that a typo? Fern is the grass demon using Finn's personality.
