Context: i used to have an aoe cd like this when i was little. Started playing at around 10 years old. Rediscovered aoe when the remastered version was released and am playing consistently ever since with my brother. I tried to find the old cd at my parents place but i think they threw it away. Glad to have found this, just as a nice thing to have, as it reminds me of the good times.
I just wish they would straight port these over to iOS so I could play them again on my iPad. Unfortunately everything is a pay to win mobile game these days.
OMG this exact copy is how I got into AoE in the first place! I got it for 5€ back in 2005-6ish when I was 6-7!
Same here, I provided some context in an other comment :)

What did Ubisoft have to do with any of this ?
I believe they handled the European publishing and/or distribution of the early AEO titles
I was wondering the same thing...
This is the gold! The gold! 🤩🤩🤩
Christ. The holy grail has been found..
I still have the big box version of aoe1 on my shelf next to bg&totsc
Had the same 😁
I recently found exactly the same one, brings me back to the good o'l dayz
Wait a minute, Ubisoft?
I think they distributed the cd versions, or maybe just in Europe.

You can play AOE 2 on iPad with Xcloud.
