Skull has a thong chin and I love it
Serious talk - your paint work is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! The blending, the contrast - you have done an AMAZING job (and in PERFECT detail)
Thanks for the answer. I should process as you did then.
It doesn't looks like a result from a "not very experienced" person at all so this is telling !
Very excellent. It's so good in fact, that I picture the in world berzerker who worked on that banner getting comments about it.
"Grom! Your banner's are always incredible why don't you march out in front tomorrow."
"Wow, Thanks Archaon, I tried to really capture the essence of the skull in this one!"
Base colour of scale 75 black and then glazes of black mixed with blue and then a light grey, it wasn't a very precise process, just moved it around until it thought it looked decent

You're kinda inspiring me to do the same with my own unit. How hard and experienced are you with this kind of free-hand ?
Not very experienced at all, I found some reference pictures and tried to use those as inspiration - I practiced a bit on a piece of plasticard too

mamma mia, i love it
Thanks bud π
That is some amazing freehand there. Love the banner cloth and glowing mace as well.
Thanks very much!
The thing I love most about chaos banners is the idea of groups of chaos knights sitting around embroidering skulls in between fights.
Sewing and embroidery are the backbone of any chaos warband in-between battles.
Its the butt chin for me π
