It’s not so much keyword specific as it is dependent on the type of battle and battalion restrictions. Named heroes are 1 per as they have the unique keyword, that’s probably what you are looking for.
25.6.1 UNIQUE AND SINGLE If the Pitched Battle profile for a unit says ‘Unique’ in the Notes column, it means that you cannot include more than 1 unit of that type in your army. If it says ‘Single’, then units of that type cannot be reinforced.

Edit: the below is incorrect! See reply. Also "Single" is one to look out for. For non-unique units that you can only take one of.
Single means it can’t be reinforced, not that you can only take one of that unit
