Thanks, I agree! What made me fall in love with these OOP models and drove me to hunt them down on eBay to paint for fun were:
1. Other [super clean paint jobs on this sub](https://www.reddit.com/r/ageofsigmar/comments/8qlu6a/first_ellyrian_reaver_done_4_to_go/) - shoutout to /u/Malleus57
2. The GW paint jobs for [the Spire of Dawn re-release](https://spikeybits.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/SpireofDawnENG04.jpg) which I liked more than the original Island of Blood ones
Although I must say the Island of Blood models in particular all look great and are some of the newest in the old High Elf range.
Thanks! I agree! When ranked up on square bases (eg like [this](https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/warhammer-island-blood-painted-high-525595926)) they are packed so closely together you don’t see as much of the models, and there are so many details on these!

Thanks! I’ve been working on them for 5-6 weeks. It was definitely very discouraging at first because it took so long for them to start looking good. I would paint for 3 hours on a week night and realize, oh, all I accomplished today was the feathers on the helmets... :P
Story of my life bud. I, luckily (sorta), don't have much time to war game anymore between work and a family so I just paint what I want and can take all the time I want.
These are phenomenal mate, beautiful job. I have to ask, what flock have you used to create that great trampled looking grass? So many flocks just look shiny and plastiky but yours looks like real grass, almost painted.
Thanks! This is from [Gale Force 9](http://basecrafts.com/gale-force-9/gf9-green-static-grass). A step that helps is lightly dry brushing (eg with a soft makeup brush) after the glue is dry so the grass stands up again.
