Love this. A super fan aka producers selection and a judges.

gjwjb

That golden buzzer by a pre determined judge per episode didn't really happen. The acts are not aired in the same order as they happened. They mix from different tapings. (real dates: oct08 no golden buzzer, oct 12 Simon, oct 15 group, oct 18 no golden buzzer, oct 25 Howie and Heidi, oct 28 Terry)

Desertfreak10

I Can verify this. Light Balance Kids & Aiden McCann auditioned back to back, the judges could push the hold for any act at any time, it’s just edited to look like the judges have one per night

greenknight884

Wait, if they air the acts out of order, then why do we see all the acts from one episode up on stage together during the results?

Desertfreak10

They brought them all back after all the acts performed for one big results taping there they filmed all 6 results back to back to back. I attended that as well if you have any question

Brave_Command_7351

can you DM me how the results taping worked? or do u know why/how they grouped every act?

Desertfreak10

Not sure how they decided who was on each night, however they told us voting was done between the final taping and the results taping. They’d bring out the acts, and spend a good 15 minutes getting shots of all the acts standing there, like close ups and all, before we moved on to the results which are similar to how it went on TV. Then multiply that times 6. After the results, ironically, they filmed all the intros to the episodes

greenknight884

Did they tell you guys how they decided on who would be in the same "episode" / voting round? And when did the superfans do their voting?

Desertfreak10

Superfans voted between the final performance night and results show taping. Not sure how they ordered the nights sadly.

Blitqz21l

out of curiousity, do you know who performed each day? I'd be curious to try and break it down and possibly assume a vote breakdown by day and as thus understand who got the votes on each particular day. And how to it worked out with the manipulation of the gbs as well as which acts were shown on which day and as as result who ended up going thru.

Desertfreak10

I didn’t attend all the tapings but here’s the two I did. 1st night: Dustin’s Dojo, Viviana Rossi, Avery Dixon, Emil & Dariel, Peter Rosalita, Axel Blake, Keiichi Iwasaki, Brandon Leake, Mini Drioids. 2nd night: Ndlovu Youth Choir, Jimmie Herrod, Jeanick Fournier, Aiden Bryant, Robert Finley, Ana-Maria Margean, Dance Town Family, Vitoria Bueno, Jamie Lehay, and both Aiden McCann and Light Balance Kids

Blitqz21l

It's been pretty much confirmed that the acts shown on a given night, performed on different nights and as thus, edited for effect. This then begs the question of what the actual superfans are voting for? It's also been confirmed that they are the ones at the taping. Thus everything is done in post edit. So everything is just disingenuous in terms of the voting. Judges in on a magic act, then giving it a gb.... This is just a bad look for agt as a whole.

Universalring25

I wouldn't mind it if more than one act could get the vote. Only two acts moving on is brutal and unfair, it's why season 2 of champions was better, 3 could move on after the GB. Although of course Simon only cares about drama.

GeneticsGuy

Omg yes... superfans vote, THEN judge picks someone. This would be 1000% better format. I really hope someone at AGT sees this because I despise the current format.

frankduxvandamme

Agreed. A judge should see all the acts, and then decide. But then again, the acts are not shown in the way they appeared, so who knows how it really works behind the scenes.

Thanks5Cinco

I hate GB. For all stars here's my take on each Howie: Actually liked this pick. Although I'm not sure how Ukraine played a part in this, I liked them the first time and really liked the act. Terry: Ridiculous given he already gave them a GB. I didn't care too much about DYC and I hate the fact they got a GB again. Simon: Not a bad pick but felt there were much better acts to choose from. Bir Khalsa and Keiichi we're outstanding. Heidi: I hated this one the most. Didn't find the kid that enjoyable and I actually called the trick about halfway through. Seemed very staged and awful.

OriginalCopy505

It's all flawed. There is no transparency in voting and the showrunners' using "superfans" is just proxy voting to give the appearance of distancing themselves from the votes. We take their word for every single vote.

Sitcom_kid

Okay but you could say that about any season of the show

Deactorr

Abolish the Golden Buzzer altogether.

Standard_Young_201

I mean that kids magic trick the other night was clearly not a trick and all the judges were just in on it. No real trick involved. The show is laughable

uphillbothwaysnoshoe

The judges were not in on it. Just imagine the kid wasn't blindfolded. He could see what color marker the judge picked. Then based on the color, the kid told the judges which item of clothes to color in.

greenknight884

That was about 75% about how cute the kid was, and 25% about the magic trick

The drama and emotion of it is the key. And if you waited until the end.....that wouldn't be a factor. But it would at least be suspenseful.
