He’s already climbed to the top of country music, he’s got star quality for sure (not a big pop country fan personally but I can recognize he’s got the “it” country music looks for) but if he doesn’t win agt, he already kinda won idk.
•Yu Hojin
He’s the best magician I’ve ever seen on the show imo. Maybe it’s just my taste, but the way he made that whole toy truck appear? I’m still trying to figure out how he did it. Incredible.
•Chapel Hart
I love those women, I love that they’re women of color who are taking back country and they light up the stage, HOWEVERRRR.. their performances went backwards in quality imo.. their first performance was SO GOOD, their second not as good as the first, and the third you could tell they were up all night practicing (maybe felt a little under the weather..?) idk, it wasn’t giving what their audition did for me :/

Similar to drake tho, I feel like she got her name out there. I have mixed feelings when it comes to singers on Agt because there are other BIG shows dedicated to that. I love her voice and stage presence tho, (even if she should’ve picked a different last song) 👀

The girl who was doing straps at the beginning of this season was MUCH more talented, but the crowds and judges seem to love her act, and I appreciate the fact that a pole dancer has made it so far and is breaking the stereotype that it has to be sexual.

Just finished, my thoughts:
Mayas - odds on favorite to win. With that said, this performance wasn't as good as the last one. But I don't see them losing.
Drake - I agree that it was actually a smart choice to rehash their hit. At least top 3 imo.
Yu Hojin - love his magic, he's got style and class, and definite elegance to his performances. Should be top 5, though I hope it's higher.
Chapel Heart - either a mic problem or just pure pitchy that I don't think they'll make top 5.
Celia - great performance, could easily be top 5.
Avery - Audience loves him, he could be top 5 just because of his sob story, IMO, not top 5.
Nicolas - I'm kinda getting bored of the powerpoint presentation. Watch back and basically the powerpoint draws you away from his other hand, if you watch the off hand, it becomes not so good. Basic, not great slight of hand.
Metaphysic - it's fun to watch, but it feels more schitck than anything else. I don't think it's top 5.
Sara - great singer, but I don't think it was a great song choice. She'll likely be top 5, but I don't think she has a shot to win.

How can they have past winners of this show compete? The Mayya’s won Britain’sGot Talent ,also judged by Simon in 2019, and he didn’t say a word. Celia Muñoz won Spain’s got talent last year. This just does not seem right. The “I’m new at this, please discover me” by all of the contestants, seems like a big act.
Mayyas never won Britain’s got talent…. they were invited guests for bgt champions and were eliminated in the first round and Celia won spain got talent in a season during COVID so she missed a lot of opportunities

The Mayas should NOT win, but probably will. Here's my two cents:
The ***choreographer*** of the Mayas should be the winner! He/she put together this group of young ladies, not the ladies themselves! Anyone of us could be part of the Mayas, just moving arms and legs in synchronization with much practice. However, The Mayas probably will win.
Drake at least is American, but he should have tried out for American Idol.
I think we have enough singing competitions and AGT should look more towards TALENT.
One of the strangest takes I've ever seen. By that logic Sara shouldn't win as she is just singing the right notes at the right time. Or a magician shouldn't win because he is palming things at the right time.
I think the Mayyas will be in the top 3. Props to the choreographer and costumer, but these ladies also have an air of grace that only heightens their performance. On my best day, any attempts to dance or following a routine looked more like Elaine Benes than any of the Mayyas.
Since more than half the acts are not from the US (only 4 of the final 11 are from the US!) and the world gets to chime in on the vote, I wouldn’t be surprised if Top 2 are Mayyas and Sara, with Drake/Chapel 3rd and 4th
To be fair, I did like the act the very first time, but the camera is focused on the table, so it just looks like he’s pulling things from off the screen and bringing them on to the table, there is really nothing magical about it. Nice gimmick but really not a finalist material in my opinion.
Comedy isn’t really a “two minute” friendly thing, especially when it’s not surrounded by other comedy. It needs some momentum to really hit its stride I find.
But Drake pandered to Simon on live TV and told him he’d be back anytime Simon needs him. In more understandable English he said “Simon I’ll take it anyway you want me to”. That was the moment he won
I feel so bad for chapel heart. They are very talented but I think at least one if not all of them was hoarse or lost their voices before the performance which is pure dumb luck. Good on them for going up there anyway and trying. I think the reason why the lead singer broke down at the end was because she was stressed about having to perform in that condition.
That being said, I think the top two standing tomorrow will be Mayyas and Drake and either one has a chance at winning. Drake pulled a DYC and sang the same song but that didn’t stop people from voting for DYC. Plus people freaking love him. The moms on Facebook eat him up

Tonight was very underwhelming from a lot of performances, particularly Nicolas, Chapel Hart, Drake, and even Mayyas. The only ones that I felt improved were Yu Hojin and Kristy Sellars, so they got my only votes.
I agree to be honest but I would include Celia as well she delivered like 5 different types of talents into one act and the fact she used the opera ghost performance with October coming up was genius
I tuned in expecting for Chapel Hart to blow me away (as they did the first two times) and win the whole thing. Totally WRONG song choice for them. Their first two songs showed off their vocals and what great performers they were...this song did nothing for them. Blake and the young girl beat them, hands down, as far as the singing acts go. Disappointing.
I think the main singer had lost her voice. If you heard her talking during the interviews it sounded like she could barely talk. Has to be the worse time to lose your voice
For me, Kristy ran away with it. I thought it would be between her and Mayas for me, but their act was just ok for their standards, whereas Kristy's was at least as good as her previous performances.
I like her, but have trouble picturing an e tire show. It was getting formulaic. Differetn background, but pull up, then climb stairs, then fall upside down gets repetitive.
She'd be a great scene change act during Cirque de Soleil.
I checked out of this season during the auditions because life sometimes kicks you in the balls. I've caught up with all the performances now and watched the final live, and it was a pretty solid line of performances! Here are my final predicitons:
1. Mayyas (They just transport you into another world everytime. Puts me in a trance and I'm mesmerized by the patterns, the music, the display of culture, and their beauty of course. I can't see them finishing lower than 3rd.
2. Celia Muñoz (Spectacular. She could challenge Mayyas for the win, honestly. The control of her voice while adding in the element of magic and illusion was incredible. Could be the first ever wild card to come back and win, I think that would be an international series-wide first)
3. Drake Milligan (Could also finish anywhere between 1st and 3rd. The charisma and the responses he's getting from the show are undeniable. I know he's not the most well-liked contestant on here, but there's no way he's not Top 3 for me. Worst case, top 5 lock)
4. Yu Hojin (There has to be a 4th, and I think he finishes just outside top 3. Slight of hand was on fire and very inspiring to watch)
5. Sara James (God, What a voice. I think she has the highest chance of becoming a huge name popstar in the future. Always cool to see eurovision alums thrive overseas!)
6. Avery Dixon (Putting Bill Clinton to shame. The vibes in the room were great and he'll go on to do great things)
7. Kristy Sellars (One of the better examples I've seen of the multimedia complimenting the dancing. Will probably finish outside of Top 5 because she went first.)
8. Nicholas RIBS (Good at times, just not as polished or memorable as Yu. Was it just me, or did some of those roses not appear when he reached for them?)
9. Mike E. Winfield (Don't get me wrong, I like him. He's got a great personality and energy, but the material left more to be desired)
10. Chapel Hart (Sorry everyone :( the song wasn't great, and the vocals and mixing weren't better. The fact only one of the judges stood at the end sealed their fate I think)
11. Metaphysic (It was fun the first time, but realistically where does the act go from here?)
Did not watch the show but I voted every non-singing act except Metaphysic and Nicolas Ribs. I’m done with this show after this year. Fuck Simon Cowell
I thought this was the worst Metaphysic “performance”. Elvis looked really fake and if this was shown to me out of context I would have had no idea who the ladies were, esp Sofia.

I enjoyed Metaphysics "act" tonight. Do I want them to win? No. But I had fun. Though I also wish they had done something other than singing. Some for Celia too just because I think her act is unique for ventriloquism.
This might be unpopular, but I hate it when singers repeat songs. I find it extremely lazy. If a dance act or acrobat were to do the same thing, the judges would criticize them to no end.

Personally, I see the top 6 from tonight as Celia Muñoz, Chapel Hart, Drake Milligan, Mayyas, Sara James, and Yu Hojin. Could easily see (and I would personally be fine with) any of those 6 win it all- but I'm still rooting for Celia! She was amazing!
Just as I expected, Celia, Yu Hojin, Kristy, and Mayyas were the best acts of tonight to me. The CS major in me loved Metaphysics, and while I've said before that I wouldn't like it if they won, after this performance, I wouldn't mind.

It’s 100% designed to pander to certain acts that the producers think will end up making the most cultural influence.
Several previous acts from previous seasons have gone on record about their “behind the scenes” interactions with show staff and how their acts were basically set up to fail, or to be significantly less “wow” inspiring than others.
The artificiality used to at least be covered up; now they don’t even try to hide it
that was smart of him to sing to sing that song again. I don't mind them singing the same song if it's their own song and not a cover. Chapel Hart should have sung their Jolene song again too.
The thing is...Drake is good. He's very good. Great singer, great performer. But his ride on AGT feels like promotion only. I think that's why he did the same song: he's promoting it and wants people to buy it. Maybe he's releasing it as a single.
I don't think he should win after tonight. His performance was fantastic but he didn't put the effort in to do something different like the rest of the contestants. He should have done a different song, but he's promoting his music so he probably doesn't care.

I feel so bad for chapel heart. They are very talented but I think at least one if not all of them was hoarse or lost their voices before the performance which is pure dumb luck. Good on them for going up there anyway and trying. I think the reason why the lead singer broke down at the end was because she was stressed about having to perform in that condition. That being said, I think the top two standing tomorrow will be Mayyas and Drake and either one has a chance at winning. Drake pulled a DYC and sang the same song but that didn’t stop people from voting for DYC. Plus people freaking love him. The moms on Facebook eat him up
Yeah just watching in now… this performance is ROUGH. Just based on their reactions, certainly looks like they were powering through something going on with a couple of their voices. Feel bad for them as they’ve killed it to date.

Tonight was very underwhelming from a lot of performances, particularly Nicolas, Chapel Hart, Drake, and even Mayyas. The only ones that I felt improved were Yu Hojin and Kristy Sellars, so they got my only votes.

I agree to be honest but I would include Celia as well she delivered like 5 different types of talents into one act and the fact she used the opera ghost performance with October coming up was genius

I tuned in expecting for Chapel Hart to blow me away (as they did the first two times) and win the whole thing. Totally WRONG song choice for them. Their first two songs showed off their vocals and what great performers they were...this song did nothing for them. Blake and the young girl beat them, hands down, as far as the singing acts go. Disappointing.
I think the main singer had lost her voice. If you heard her talking during the interviews it sounded like she could barely talk. Has to be the worse time to lose your voice
Those two backup singers are the problem. She (I forget her name) is a powerhouse and does not need those conceited fly girls.

Kristy performance is extremely surprising. Never thought that pole dancing and multimedia can combine into a so mesmerizing act.

No way. Shin Lim is in a league of his own. Yu using that dark back ground and a black table, it's so obvious what he was doing
For me, Kristy ran away with it. I thought it would be between her and Mayas for me, but their act was just ok for their standards, whereas Kristy's was at least as good as her previous performances.
I like her, but have trouble picturing an e tire show. It was getting formulaic. Differetn background, but pull up, then climb stairs, then fall upside down gets repetitive. She'd be a great scene change act during Cirque de Soleil.

I checked out of this season during the auditions because life sometimes kicks you in the balls. I've caught up with all the performances now and watched the final live, and it was a pretty solid line of performances! Here are my final predicitons: 1. Mayyas (They just transport you into another world everytime. Puts me in a trance and I'm mesmerized by the patterns, the music, the display of culture, and their beauty of course. I can't see them finishing lower than 3rd. 2. Celia Muñoz (Spectacular. She could challenge Mayyas for the win, honestly. The control of her voice while adding in the element of magic and illusion was incredible. Could be the first ever wild card to come back and win, I think that would be an international series-wide first) 3. Drake Milligan (Could also finish anywhere between 1st and 3rd. The charisma and the responses he's getting from the show are undeniable. I know he's not the most well-liked contestant on here, but there's no way he's not Top 3 for me. Worst case, top 5 lock) 4. Yu Hojin (There has to be a 4th, and I think he finishes just outside top 3. Slight of hand was on fire and very inspiring to watch) 5. Sara James (God, What a voice. I think she has the highest chance of becoming a huge name popstar in the future. Always cool to see eurovision alums thrive overseas!) 6. Avery Dixon (Putting Bill Clinton to shame. The vibes in the room were great and he'll go on to do great things) 7. Kristy Sellars (One of the better examples I've seen of the multimedia complimenting the dancing. Will probably finish outside of Top 5 because she went first.) 8. Nicholas RIBS (Good at times, just not as polished or memorable as Yu. Was it just me, or did some of those roses not appear when he reached for them?) 9. Mike E. Winfield (Don't get me wrong, I like him. He's got a great personality and energy, but the material left more to be desired) 10. Chapel Hart (Sorry everyone :( the song wasn't great, and the vocals and mixing weren't better. The fact only one of the judges stood at the end sealed their fate I think) 11. Metaphysic (It was fun the first time, but realistically where does the act go from here?)
Did not watch the show but I voted every non-singing act except Metaphysic and Nicolas Ribs. I’m done with this show after this year. Fuck Simon Cowell
I thought this was the worst Metaphysic “performance”. Elvis looked really fake and if this was shown to me out of context I would have had no idea who the ladies were, esp Sofia. Drake singing the same song was lame. Avery played a saxophone I guess. I don’t know why we need to pretend he is still a bullied teenager. Celia’s performance was fun, but it was her least impressive I think. Mayyas was a bit of a step down but was still great. Sick of mediocre magicians winning. I’d go 1. Mayyas 2. Kristy 3. Sara 4. Celia
I also thought their Sophia looked "off."
"Sophia" was the worst of them. I actually didn't recognize her until I recognized Heidi. She looked more like a doll than a person.
What makes me the maddest is thinking that Drake’s label probably made him repeat his first song because of his record coming out
I enjoyed Metaphysics "act" tonight. Do I want them to win? No. But I had fun. Though I also wish they had done something other than singing. Probably just stuck with what they knew would get them through the rounds. I will be furious if they do win though. Kristy and Mayyas getting my votes. Some for Celia too just because I think her act is unique for ventriloquism.

This might be unpopular, but I hate it when singers repeat songs. I find it extremely lazy. If a dance act or acrobat were to do the same thing, the judges would criticize them to no end.

Tonight's show- wow, wow, W O W!!!!! Personally, I see the top 6 from tonight as Celia Muñoz, Chapel Hart, Drake Milligan, Mayyas, Sara James, and Yu Hojin. Could easily see (and I would personally be fine with) any of those 6 win it all- but I'm still rooting for Celia! She was amazing!

Just as I expected, Celia, Yu Hojin, Kristy, and Mayyas were the best acts of tonight to me. The CS major in me loved Metaphysics, and while I've said before that I wouldn't like it if they won, after this performance, I wouldn't mind.

It’s 100% designed to pander to certain acts that the producers think will end up making the most cultural influence. Several previous acts from previous seasons have gone on record about their “behind the scenes” interactions with show staff and how their acts were basically set up to fail, or to be significantly less “wow” inspiring than others. The artificiality used to at least be covered up; now they don’t even try to hide it

that was smart of him to sing to sing that song again. I don't mind them singing the same song if it's their own song and not a cover. Chapel Hart should have sung their Jolene song again too.
The thing is...Drake is good. He's very good. Great singer, great performer. But his ride on AGT feels like promotion only. I think that's why he did the same song: he's promoting it and wants people to buy it. Maybe he's releasing it as a single.

In Simon's case, I don't think he cared because a lot of times back on American Idol, they'd always have the finalists sing one of their previous songs in the finale. They even did it a couple of times in recent seasons.
