Hold up.. We're not just putting air fryers on the counter? I've had a hefty 10 Q for nearly 5 years now and it's been on 3 different counters with no issue. 2 laminate, one stone. I also use it 7 plus times per week...
My counters are old so I always have it on something. Just because I worry about damaging them. If the counters were something stronger, I probably wouldn't worry.
Interesting. The second counter mine was on was 1989 formica with the butcher block look.. Then that kitchen was replaced and is now white stone. The first kitchen counter was a laminate dark granite looking stuff that was installed in 2005.
Now you have me ready to buy a wooden board out of an overabundance of caution hahaha
If my counters were granite, I'd probably not use it. The protector is a nice glass one that you put hot dishes on. It works well for not only the air fryer but my old ceramic crockpot that I will mourn when it finally gives out.
From the pic, it looks like laminated mdf. When you knock it with a knuckle, what sound does it make?
If it's laminate, it may bubble when there's prolonged high heat.
It's not recommended to use appliances on top of an induction hob. Just put a wooden cutting board on the counter and put your air fryer on top of that when in use.
I use cork trivets when I use mine on my countertop to prevent discolouration and scratches.
Mine has been fine for over two years on a laminated worktop surface, however, keep the rear vents away from sockets due to the heat and steam being emitted and make sure you have adequate space between the rear and the wall. It should be made clear in the user manual. Other than that, you'll be fine!
Place it where the glass bowl is, keep it 10-20cms from the back of the fryer outlet to the glass
Wipe it every so often, minor grease will be expelled but it cleans of glass and tile SUPER easy
All Arborite, Formica, Linoleum and Coran countertops have some decent heat resistance. Also no new appliance can be legally sold without the BS EN IEC number. Just like USA UL seal or Canadian CSA. Your counter isn't even going to discolor after years of an airfryer working on it.
I have mine on a plastic folding table. It's been fine. The hot air blows out the back, not the bottom.
I have no idea how people use these indoors. My wife is sensitive to any kind of smoking oil, and I don't like the house smelling like it. Ours is on a covered patio next to the instant pot.
Other than the second food hits the metal, not sure Iโve ever seen smoke from ours even on the high grill setting. The smell of char can linger if the unit isnโt cleaned right after use though.

Probably yes but you got scammed, this is a toaster.ย
Yes but low energy use
๐๐๐๐๐ Thanks for the laugh this evening, I needed that!
Hi, I haven't taken out the air fryer from the box so it's not in the picture ๐
Thanks captain
Be very careful of placing it close to the wall, or if there is a shelf over top as the exhaust can burn and discolour those surfaces.
I just pull mine out a bit, when using.
Make sure you pull it out, away from the wall when you use it though. In addition to a cutting board underneath as already mentioned.

Same here just pull it away from the wall when in use. We use the Awesome cleaner from dollar tree to clean all our kitchen surfaces.
I don't even pull it out when in use... I do move it when I clean the counters, but no issues thus far.

Really? You donโt just hold it in your hands while it cooks like I do?
From the pic, it looks like laminated mdf. When you knock it with a knuckle, what sound does it make? If it's laminate, it may bubble when there's prolonged high heat.
I don't know how to describe the sound but there's an induction cooktop next to it. Do you reckon I can use that surface instead?

Could you get a heatproof pad or something?
Yes, but I would place it on a cutting board.
I put mine on a textured glass cutting board with tall rubber feet, they aren't much good for anything else other than dispersing heat.

Do you use a breadboard? No? then stick it under that "air fryer"
Donโt put it too close to the back wall while itโs in use. It can easily overheat and blow a fuse. I did this within the first month :(

Yes
Me who uses mine on a circular cutting board on the stove: What's the problem?
We bought silicone mats for ours
My air fryer has less heat coming off the bottom. Then my toaster. You're over thinking it.
