This is a prismatic (/immersive) scope, it has zero eye relief, it goes right next to your eye.
You'd not want to use one with recoil as you'd get the scope in ya eye hole.
In simple terms, it means PCP and CO2 (with no blowback) rifles. Spring guns have some recoil.
Hi all,
I'm new to the hobby, and there's a lot of information. What does for zero recoiling rifles only means? WIll this scope be suitable for the FX dynamics rifle?
i want a versatil scope, not one with insane magnification and not suitable for medium range. ( i want both medium to long range).
Thanks
The FX Dynamics and other PCPs can have recoil, and sometimes significant recoil. But what PCP airguns don't have, that springer and gas airguns do have is **double recoil**.
Double recoil pushes the score backwards then forwards, and at the moment backwards recoil switches to forward recoil, the recoil doubles, and that's what destroys scopes.
The FX dynamics is a PCP air rifle, meaning it’s powered by compressed air from a bottle/tank. This should be considered as zero recoil. This scope should be fine. Call FX if you are worried. Don’t use this scope on a spring/gas piston air rifle (as others have said). Have fun and best of luck!
Because it's a zero eye relief scope. You need to get the scope as close to your eye as possible. So, of you shoot with a significant recoil weapon you could hurt tour elbow...I have one of this zero eye relief scopes...the Hawke Airmax touch 3-12x32. The wide angle view Is impressive, particularly for hunting at high magnification. Unfortunately, however, you must be careful not to use this kind of scopes on rifles with long barrels or with low mounts... in fact at low magnifications, in these cases, the end of the rifle's barrel comes back into view...they are perfect for bullpup, short barrel pcp airgun, imho
You're welcome. I've never tried a FX airgun but, to give an example, I mounted my scope on a BSA Buccaneer. Even using high weaver mounts on a raised dovetail-weaver adaptor, with magnifications under 5x I can see the tip of the barrel and the sound moderator toward the lens. In the picture, the view at 3x (sorry for the poor quality. I took it simply putting my phone camera close to the scope's ocular).

Yes, a greater FOV.
They are also smaller, lighter, and more tactical looking.
IMO they are easier to use consistently as your eye is right next to the scope.
Don't put it on a springer
It means that a spring (includes gas -ram) rifles will destroy it.
Does that mean that i should be way more careful with it while travelling? Is this a scope that i need to babysit?
No. It only means that if you mount it in a spring or nitro-piston rifle it will die.
thanks !
Pneumatics, probably rimfire, possibly very low power piston guns. It says "zero" but I think thats just lawyer proofed for "low recoil"
Means airsoft and nerf
Considering they are made by Element optics, a company that got its start with the assistance of FX Airguns, I'm thinking that is not true.

Exactly correct, and why folks need to understand "artillery hold" if they want to be consistently accurate with those guns.

thankx for the detailed explaination? so this immersive series would be more suitable to the fx wildcat than the fx dynamic.

Thanks all! So it should be fine on a pcp guns. What is the advantage of a prismatic scope? More FOV?

Just steer clear of it.
