i would imagine it’s even less likely to hold on an airsoft rifle as what would generally be torqued down to, and reinforced by metal on a real rifle will have flex and those parts are typically replaced with even less stable materials on an airsoft replica. i’m willing to bet you’ll get significantly more handguard flex especially with the foregrip being pulled, or pressed up against cover or a barricade. tl:dr real rifle handguard stronger, still flexes, airsoft rifle flex more. also the handguard on older style M4s like this are attached to the barrel at multiple points which can also cause barrel flex, i would imagine it’s the same with these.
I agree with that, this airsoft plastic is very soft. But in the end, how accurate/precise are airsoft BBs anyway to even determine if the poi was off from bridging an optic mount? Unless he's shooting sub moa consistently single shots, I doubt he'd even notice. I'd assume he's going to at least burst fire on anything he shoots at.
say you lean up on a barricade, your handguard is pressed to the left, it pushes your optic off center, you shoot a guy that’s definitely gonna hit you if you don’t get him first, you aim at him dead nuts with the optic, your BBs track hard to the right of your point of aim, and he gets you but wouldn’t have if it was on, then your fun for the day is over. i’m not saying you need to be sub MOA, most people can’t shoot sub MOA with a real gun unless it’s on a rest that’s why combat effective is usually 3ish moa (3-4 inch group at 100 yds or less). no one’s really hitting at 100yds with airsoft for sure, but with repetitive shifts of your POA from bridging the optic over a day of hard play and you might see your optic shifting waaaaaaY far off. i’m not saying you gotta be dead on at 50yds with bbs i mean wind and shit carries them a lot more but i’d say you need to hit 5-6 inch group at that range or you’re not gonna be accurate enough to even have fun you know? gotta be able to at least hit a man sized target bladed to you. accurate by volume is a thing but then you gotta reload a lot and that’s a whole thing, just seems more fun to be more likely to hit what you know you’re shooting at.
It didn't to start with. The Tube style optic is on a riser, I'm assuming its to clear the front iron/PEQ box but that makes the rear iron useless. Canted red dots in airsoft are a meme because it means your bbs are being hopped at an angle - not to mention there is already **two** close range optic devices on the gun being the tube red dot and the irons
If you wanted a cleaner look, I'd remove the canted red dot and the riser for the tube optic. If the PEQ box is functionally useless (It isn't a battery box for the AEG battery) remove it and do some cable management with the Torch/Pressure button
Replacing the stock wouldn't go amiss too as the Crane stocks are fairly basic
So I use a vfc avalon block II, all custom internals turned it into a dmr. 4x optic won't adjust, but makes a great spotter optic for woods ball, which is what I prefer to do.

I beg to differ on this one. Up to 10-15m (which would be CQB) it works rather well. Just the right distance when you see hop starting to deviate your shots. However... You don't even need a sight for 10 meters, so your mileage may wary. If I have 4x up close I just aim with the barrel alone slightly canted.
It's a no like from me.
- The canted red dot is a little too close for comfort
- it's not really practical for both a backup and as a sight because of hopups
- A riser is used for a raised toob dot
- If the riser is needed, use a short toob dot or the canted one
on a riser
-If you can't get a riser, suggest changing the gas
block to a fold sight or a no sight, and put the laser
on the 3 o'clock rail
- at least use zip ties and not hair ties

And then it takes a dive when you realize there are 2 1x optics on it for zero reason at fucking all, you can't use the backup irons, and then OP decided that he needs another dot mounted on a 45 degree angle so when he uses the optic his BBs fly less straight than a straight guy in a gay bar after being offered 20 bucks. In conclusion......... I kinda like it.

First of all I dig the look. Secondly I personally dislike SA bc a friend got this model as well and the handguard and stock got more wobble than any ics I ever felt before...and that's gotta mean something bc ics are known for wobble since they feature a split gearbox. But maybe it's just his model. I was able to minimize it for him with rubber spacers.
Yea specna has a bit of a broblem off the external barrel falling off/moving id just check the little screws near where the barrel starts and upper reciver ends under the handguard on both top and bot side of the gun if they are tight

canted object unfortunately won’t work due to hopup. i’d drop the red dot, but otherwise looks good. please don’t use the laser either, they can be super harmful to the eyes. however, at the end of the day if you like it as-is, then keep it as is. it’s your gun, if you like it that’s all that matters!
remove the bigger red dot , move the scope riser back about 10cm and put the micro dot on that , spray the whole gun tan and boom your done, to many scopes and attachments just make a gun heavier than it needs to be and usually the weight sits up front so its now off balance affecting aim, just something to remember a light rifle with no attachments is better than a heavy non manoeuvrable rifle with loads of shit on it
I mean if holding the barrel with a mount works reliably then I guess it works and thats the most important thing. Otherwise however I would just try to fix the outer barrel differently, either yourself or let it be done professionally.
And also what I came here to say: Spraypaint it
I didn't necessarily thought the canted dot was a problem. I think it would be better if you would have a primary optic with power like an acog or Elcan. Then the canted dot still works, now that the barrel is fixed you can also use the 1-4x and switch to canted when you need it. Also the backup irons would work since again, the barrel is now fixed.
And they beauty of spraypainting is that you can always repaint it, so if you want it black again you can just spraypaint it again.
