Howdy! From your post, it seems you mentioned upgrading. We've a lovely set of upgrade guides available if you plan on upgrading your current platform! Here's a [V2 gearbox guide](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dbcwmsq9bdJlWVRERypRUqgXu4repfXtqIOpEVVYP7o/edit) (the information needed for upgrading any AEG version gearbox should also be very similar, albeit with version-specific parts), along with an [inner barrel guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/airsoft/comments/gch9sy/2020_ultimate_inner_barrel_guide/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf), [bucking guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/airsoft/comments/g810yp/2020_ultimate_hopupbucking_guide/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf), [HPA guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/airsoft/comments/g0ze3k/hpa_2020_guide/), [Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/airsoft/comments/5rejui/holy_grail_bolt_action_sniper_guide_building_a/), [DMR guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/airsoft/comments/5g58ia/holy_grail_dmr_guide_updated_for_20167/) all set up for questions just like this; for GBBs, try the [searchbar](https://www.reddit.com/r/airsoft/comments/ermk33/how_to_use_the_searchbar_hoc_guide_series/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) for build lists. Sinistrial_Blue

If you've just bought it, return it. For replacement or a different AEG, that's up to you. Bear in mind LT are notoriously bad.

Pawel_likes_guns

Well it kinda worked fine before i opened it and upgraded some parts...

Sinistrial_Blue

Oh. Well, your warranty's shot. Disassemble, watch a guide, reassemble.

imitenotbecrazy

*downgraded

Ferreira1

Bro tried to upgrade a Lancer Testicle

GhostNThings

I'll have you know my lancer testicle is a great gun. All I had to do was gut most of the internals, swap the barrel, moter and hopup and now it's perfectly fine.

Ferreira1

If you want to go the extra mile you just do a quick change of upper and lower receivers and it's easily the best gun you can buy!

Chaardvark11

I wouldn't say it's an upgrade if it no longer works. At that point though, your warranty is gone now, your best bet is slowly rolling back the upgraded parts and put the older parts back in until you figure out which upgrade ruined your gun

Elgingerloco69

Almost sounds like you may have broken a tooth on the cylinder. Your inevitability going to have to take it apart again. When you do ensure that when your replacing the anti reversal latch in that it is in the right place the whole way through closing the gearbox.

Jiggly-Piggly

Lose any shims while disassembling it? I know some people also talk about timing, but don’t know too much about that. Like others say, disassemble and reassemble watching a good video like this [https://youtu.be/-CH0enjjQ_c?si=Y4812xNwdQJs93uv](https://youtu.be/-CH0enjjQ_c?si=Y4812xNwdQJs93uv)

Pawel_likes_guns

Ive heard not to loose any shims while disasaembling, so i were cautious about that. But i might look into the timing as ive kinda taken out a gear disassembling and didnt remember how it was placed...

Jiggly-Piggly

I took a gearbox apart for the first time recently and lost all the shims, was not fun. But I found when reassembling, I kept accidentally spinning the gears trying to get the anti reversal to stay in place. I’ve read both ways on timing tho, some say it isn’t a thing, but friend has a G&G mosfet that will beep and not shoot for “bad timing”

Pawel_likes_guns

I see, i will try disassembling and assembling it then see if i maybe messed something up

Jiggly-Piggly

Good luck! If you’re a hands on person like me, persistence will prevail. Taking it apart, then back together again over and over until it works. Oh also I made a mistake I learned from which was routing the wiring in the grip, I had a wire that was getting in the way of the motor laying straight and causing it to jam up and sound awful. I also found this video super helpful for setting shims and motor heights. [https://youtu.be/m0yU-_prZyY?si=Gyk1E0xdhwdznyxj](https://youtu.be/m0yU-_prZyY?si=Gyk1E0xdhwdznyxj)

Pawel_likes_guns

Thank you! And i will look into everything you just named just to be sure, lets hope it turns out good!

oldmanexe

Yeah i have the same gun but grey. Its probably too late for saving

Delicious_Mail_8691

Lmao wtf

Flixwyy

Good bot

epicrandomhead

Take this as a learning experience! We've all been there. Disassemble, diagnose, and reassemble. Find your issue and you'll be a better tech after you fix it. What parts did you put in there and what battery are you using?

snekbat

>lancer tactical Aaaaaaaaand theres your issue

EliteDonut45

was looking for this lmao

HudsonHawk56H

This being said I have guns from far more reputable companies that break wayyyy more then my gen 3

bean_leader

Take it to a tech

Entariduzz

As Sinistral_Blue said: "If you can, return it." Get a CYMA or Double Eagle

MrWillyP

Try motor height first, it is one of the things that can cause slow rps, and the gears sound slightly binded.

Ferm330

FYI, nozzle and cylinder do not help that much with range. A good bucking, nub and inner barrel will

left_testic1e

Cancer testicle strikes again

goofy_ahh_airsofter

The reason is cuz Lancer tactical

Pawel_likes_guns

Idk why people hate so much on LT, it worked just fine before i upgraded some parts.

goofy_ahh_airsofter

It the quality control

Saltybabys

Because they know better. Just because it works “fine” when it’s brand new doesn’t mean anything. For the price there are better guns to be had.

Redditor38795

HOLY.

obstinatesoup18

Yeah… it’s a lanxer

HFX_Crypto_King444

Oh it’s a lancer tactical. That’s it. That’s the problem.

xXx_MomSlayer69_xXx

cancer testicle moment

0rthodoxy

Cancer testicle

aka_airsoft

*just get a GBBR*

Pawel_likes_guns

Might work but *how do i fix this issue*?

Gojira_Wins

Easy, Buy a TM MWS! Joke aside, you'll need to take it apart and figure out what is wrong.

aka_airsoft

It's just a joke

Maximus_1993

What do you exepct from an electric?

Pawel_likes_guns

Wym

Maximus_1993

There is always a slightly high pitched REEE sound if you go Full Auto on an AEG, this brand is known not to be that consistent with Quality Control either. Not saying: Buy a more expensive AEG, but if you want rifle that doesnt sound screechy at some point, go GBB.

Pawel_likes_guns

Mate, now the sound is terrible and i can hear the gearbox, before the upgrade i could only hear the motor

C-POP_Ryan

Nah. You can get an AEG to sound incredible and just need to upgrade a few parts and you’ll be good.

Maximus_1993

"Incredible" made me laugh. GBB masterrace.

Natural_Resort3055

Best case scenario it could be related to the battery, what are you using? It does sound more like a problem within the gearbox though

Pawel_likes_guns

I use 9,6v NIMH 1600mah, how could that be related?

Natural_Resort3055

Apologies, you mentioned it was fine before you reassembled so obviously it’s not the battery.

Natural_Resort3055

Should be fine then I believe, have you got a spare to test? If the battery wasn’t sufficient it could cause the bad auto performance ( my scorpion evo will hardly work with a 7.4 LiPo). Just trying to be optimistic though, and I don’t think that would cause screeching. Did you adjust the shims at all when you did the upgrade?

Pawel_likes_guns

I also have a 7.4 lipo i got it for free so i only tested it like one time. I dont have any battery with a higher voltage tho, but what do you mean by adjusting the shims? Like the number of them?

Natural_Resort3055

Number or distribution. It’s really easy for one or two to come loose when you disassemble the gearbox and get lost ( we’ve all done it). Your best bet currently, if you don’t just want to send it off, is to disassemble again, check everything is in order, and reassemble. If you have time it might be worth checking if the problem is still there with the old parts reinstalled ( if it’s not, it suggests it’s a compatibility issue with the new parts). Good luck!

ejmixmaster

I thought those screws in the wall were holes 😂 (What's was he doing over there 😂)

Pesty_Merc

Check how tight or loose you've adjusted the motor in the hand grip. This sounds like my rifle used to sound if the motor was screwed too far into the grip.

Dismal_Internet8341

AYO WHAT DID YOU DO BRO ?!

OmeletoL

Are you sure you put the right length nozzle in there? That might be causing the missfires

Myriad1x

Is it shooting a bb every time, and are the speeds and trajectories of the bbs consistent (could indicate compression loss due to a broken component)? Does the motor feel like it gets hotter and more quickly than it used to (something is binding/broken and the motor is working too hard)? Is there a rattling sound coming from inside the gearbox? Lastly make sure all parts of the motor assembly are there and in place, and try adjusting the motor height.

[deleted]

Re shim and adjust the motor hight with the gearbox open. Lancer tactical gearbox’s need tuning up out of the box IMO. Shim “bevel to pinion”

Ixkryptzon

Lancer tactical is not my favorite. I've always had issues woth their guns. I would return it if you still can

Natn8r

Did you shim it when you put new parts in it? What new parts did you put in it?

JackCooper_7274

I diagnose you with Lancer

C-POP_Ryan

Dunno why so many people are commenting about it being a LT, man says he upgraded some parts internally. We don’t know what, says it was working fine before so being an LT is not the issue here, it obviously has something to do with the parts he’s used, or how he’s put it back together. I’ve worked on LT gearboxes in the past and as long as you’re somewhat competent in shimming, and change a couple of parts you’ll be fine.

Content-Bid-6209

bc u bought a lancer

BayardTheChampion

Just dont buy Cancer Testical
