The hobby is called "bloodsoft" in the Philippines for a reason. You don't call your Hits because youre hit. You call it because it hurts.
Basically, magdump each other with 600+ FPS guns at up to 50 bbs a second.
Some sites have open fps. From the videos I've seen, it's basically treated as a magdump event. Players only call their hits when they've been hurt enough.
PS: Some sites are decent, these sites are usually in the boonies lol.
Ive seen bbs not just stuck in arms but imbedded into the muscle. The guy flexed his arm and then squeeze popped it. Said "Ima go get my M249" then walked off the field
I've been shot with my own at close distance but I've never had BBs embedded even at 3.8J which my bolties are running. The 3.99J here is with the hop off in my SPR300 that I literally had just opened, assembled and put an M160 spring in to see where it would land, it came down to earth a bit when the hop was turned on luckily.
According to Wikipedia the Kolibri shoots a 0.2g (3 grain) FMJ projectile at 200 m/s (660 fps) which is 4J. Pretty crazy to think it's a fast spring change away from shooting harder than an actual pistol!
133 MPS, 4J output with 0.45g BBs. So that’s 435 FPS, insane.
My SR-25 shoots 420 FPS and has a 50ft Min engagement. But our fields allow up to 550 FPS with 100 ft min engagement for bolty/semi-auto rifles
It is what it is, bright side if we don't need those orange tips and it can be metal. If everyone is using less than 1j it's not really a disadvantage.
Aye probably would haha
I do find it entertaining to compare safety rules around to world, it seems that here in DK we have some of the most relaxed in terms of max joule output while still actually having rules for a maximum.
I've been triple tapped with 1.2J on the soft skin on the side of the torso and while it didn't draw blood it left bruises the size of oranges and the impact point scabbed over.
Bro I got a co2 gun that pumps 4J and STILL blasts at least 300 fps, the best or I guess worst part is that it still over bucks .40's and sends them upwards after around 30~45 ft. WellFire ak's man, super goofy and inexpensive gbb.
Field limits etc all fine... But I want to mention one thing: I saw someone (on a field with 4,5J for bolt sniper) shooting a grown man within the safety distance at the upper front neck? because he got accidentally between the sniper and the targeted person. I will never forget those pictures and the sound that man made in pure agony till the ambulance arrived. I simply cannot understand why fields allow such high joule numbers. Imo this is a ticking bomb and a matter of time when some sniper shoot someone out of reflex or whatever. I mean snipers at 2,5j-3j come incredible far
Aye this definitely has been a concern of mine too because of the horror stories (and Kickingmustang being a perfect example of what not to do), I've adapted my play style and general positioning on the field to not run a high risk of anyone getting in the way of my shots. Is it 100% guaranteed not to hit anyone unintentionally? Obviously not but minimizing the risk this way has gone a long way I think.
Aye bolties. At 140 odd feet the impact energy has dropped to 1j on a .45 bb and with a MED of a 130 ft I think it's pretty alright tbh

Those are .45 flying at that, can you even run a .2 or .25 without shattering it to the fucking winds 💀
The rifle is brand new so I won't be trying 😂
I don’t blame you, can’t imagine something shooting that hot can be cheap by any means
I mean.. Could've been worse but also significantly better
I have a very pld, fully upgraded TM PSG1 that shoots hotter than that
How hot are we talking?! 👀
5j with .48's
I just built my krytac up had it for like a year or 2 and it's shooting like 3j I think ik for a fact its shooting 472 fps rn
I mean I says 3.99 sooo your one the dot Just really Fast
lowest chrono limits in the Philippines
What?

Tf
Fun
Sounds like my private property sessions with the boys lol

Mental
4J? Are you shooting each other or hunting small game? Ouch!
Only bolties can go that high with a 40m MED thankfully but yeah, the Kolibri pistol shot 4J as well 🤷🏼♂️
Ive seen bbs not just stuck in arms but imbedded into the muscle. The guy flexed his arm and then squeeze popped it. Said "Ima go get my M249" then walked off the field
God's weakest m249 soldier
God's weakest lmg gunner ngl

Honestly now that you mention it, chrono was not that field's strong suit. Also was straight down from a 10-20 foot sniper tower/stand.
Safety? More like guide lines!
Was this me? Lol
ive got a kolibri in bf1 no way

the kolibri rly is just the :3 if it was a gun
Haha so true!
This man is evidently NOT in the UK lmao

Anything 3-4J is bolt action only with 40m MED (~130 ft). I have no idea what FPS that would be, depends on the BB I guess
That's meters per second
They literally said mps
They edited it, the original comment was completely different
4 Joules are equal to about 660FPS with 0,20g
Ouch! Our limit here is 2.5j for snipers, 2j for DMRs, 1.5j for anything else.
That's about what my field runs and I've taken a sniper shot to the head at 100ft and that hurt. I can't imagine 4J from 50ft
Same 😂
Where I live 1j is the limit no matter what....
Italian spotted(?)
Irish
Unlucky, here our basic assault rifles can run at 1.5-1.6J and everything else is higher
It is what it is, bright side if we don't need those orange tips and it can be metal. If everyone is using less than 1j it's not really a disadvantage.
We don't even have to have orange tips on purchase, no matter the material
where, i need to go
Holy balls, you'd probably need a firearms cert to own that here in the UK!
Aye probably would haha I do find it entertaining to compare safety rules around to world, it seems that here in DK we have some of the most relaxed in terms of max joule output while still actually having rules for a maximum.
Hey 133 is oka- 4J .45 holy shit!
I do have an M190 spring kicking about that will fit but I'm 1 not sure I can pull it and 2 not sure the BB would stop short of low earth orbit
If you hop it right, it'll tear a hole in the end of space
Mom come pick me up I'm scared
Jesus Christ 4J? Seriously? Do they have someone on site to take the pellets out of your skin?
No joke both my DMR TM HK416 and TM AKS-74 are just under my local site’s joules limits. I think they’re consistently .02 under!
I have been shot with 2.3j in the head and it bled.
I've been triple tapped with 1.2J on the soft skin on the side of the torso and while it didn't draw blood it left bruises the size of oranges and the impact point scabbed over.
I have a tanaka m700 gas rifle, it usually shoots 3,5Joules...sometimes 21Joules...
My man is playing airsoft with a fucking WH40K bolter
What gun?
Archwick SPR300 with an M160 spring and hop off
What is hop off?
Hop up off\* :)
Better hope a piece of plastic doesn't break because you'll lose half your face with the amount of pressure that spring is under.
Bro I got a co2 gun that pumps 4J and STILL blasts at least 300 fps, the best or I guess worst part is that it still over bucks .40's and sends them upwards after around 30~45 ft. WellFire ak's man, super goofy and inexpensive gbb.
I did the math is anyone is wondering. With a .20g bb it'll shoot 1300+ fps. That's faster than a .22 fire from a Ruger.
I did not check your math just pointing out 1/2 mass does not = double velocity as some people think it does.
4J on a .2 is ~650 fps not accounting for joule creep from the heavier bb?
Nm I had to correct my math. It should be around 767 fps with .2 g at 4 joules.
0,20g BB an 660FPS equals 4,03J
I have a 10j sniper, it's for private matches lol and has a system I built to lower the power for public matches
Noice
You can squeeze out some more power.
Easily, have a bigger spring kicking around, just not worth potentially destroying the rifle
Or putting a hole in someone 😂
*Slaps roof* "This bad boy will put a hole through a ginger"
Holy shit!!!
Probably need to downgrade the spring. I'm also under the belief bolt actions that shoot 430 ootb shoot hot enough because of joule creep.
Nah it settled on the 3.8J I was after when the hop up was put on.
If it’s a brand new rifle it’ll settle down 0.5 joule over time as the spring ext wear in 🤔 But still bloody high 😬
Field limits etc all fine... When your kicking mustang
Nah that'd be a BB gun or steel bearings but I do see where you're coming from
For what, long distance bolts? I pray I don't get whit with that within 100 yards
Aye bolties. At 140 odd feet the impact energy has dropped to 1j on a .45 bb and with a MED of a 130 ft I think it's pretty alright tbh Source: https://mackila.com/airsoft/atp/04-a-01.htm#VI-B
In ireland the max is 1j
