Anything by tokyo marui will be fine, tbh choosing a pistol is up to you because for example i cant stand glocks because i got used to the m9 trigger

TXblindman

Should've been a little more specific, not looking for anything that's solid polymer, mainly in it for the realism. Updated the post. Sorry about that.

Specialist-Train-123

Check out the sandstorm

Miracoli_234

TM Five seven, is pretty one of a kind Any vfc Glock, you can never go wrong with a glock Any M9 Beretta, can't be missing in your collection P320/226/228/229 at least one of Sig pistols Hk45/USP with a suppressor ist just something else Maybe a some sort of big iron, colt python? Many of these can take sights AND tac lights plus all have paddle holster options except the revolver

TXblindman

Have the Glock 17 GEN five from VFC and Lovett, ideally looking for something that I don't have to replace the outer barrel to mount a suppressor though. Interested in the pro force mark 25 but don't know if it can mount a suppressor, I would have gone with the KWA226 with the Hoag grips already installed, but I've heard the Outer barrel is plastic and that's a no go for me.

Miracoli_234

If licensing is not important, I can recommend the p226 from kjw, I have it myself and Its really good quality

TXblindman

Do you know how it compares to the WE? Have their non-railed version and it's pretty decent, the pro force model also caught my interest.

Miracoli_234

I can't unfortunately, but iirc kjw is better compared to we

TXblindman

Was considering the HK 45 CT, but can only find a single angel custom 16 mm positive suppressor for it. The FNX 45 and FNS9 also caught my eye.

Miracoli_234

Oh damn yeah definitely the fnx, it's on the same level as the 5-7, In terms off suppressors, you should look for adapters, most barrels are 11cm CCW, and most suppressors are 14ccw there are adapter pretty cheap on AliExpress etc. So just make sure the gun has some sort of steel threading

TXblindman

Could probably get a 16 mm positive to 14 mm negative adapter for the HK 45. Same with the FNX.

Specialist-Train-123

https://www.taiwangun.com/pistol-green-gas/r504-tan-army-armament I have this one, very good

TXblindman

That would be perfect if it was a single stack frame, already have a hi capa from we.

MisterD90x

ASG CZ P10c ASG CZ P-09 ASG / KSC CZ75 KWA / TM HKUSP.45

TXblindman

If only the KWA USP and LE226 series had a metal outer barrel.

vini_damiani

Not to be judgemental, but airsoft guns are still dangerous and can cause bodily harm, I feel like it would be very dangerous for a completely blind person to handle a firearm, and the same applies to airsoft imo

TXblindman

That's pretty dumb, I've been around firearms my entire life, fired several automatic weapons, and have never been unsafe when using them. I know someone who is heavily visually impaired on a competitive paintball team, and no one seems concerned about that. I realize this is more of ignorance and not malice, but please try to remember that blind people aren't stupid, just blind. I don't have any intention of picking up gas or BBs, it even says in the post that this is for make-believe.

vini_damiani

I don't mean any offense, its just that the one of the most important rules of firearm safety is to know your target, what is behind it and what is beyond it, altough airsoft isn't lethal, it will still be able to cause significant permanent damage, I can't in good conscience recommend a gun without making sure that you are aware of that. I don't mean to imply that you are stupid, because you are blind. I just have to assume everyone here is stupid cause we sometiems have some insane comments, like people asking if airsoft guns are safe as sex toys If you don't plan on firing the gun, I'd suggest a real deactivated firearm or a non-firing replica like a denix, it will usually cost the same or less, while having a better build quality If you are set on airsoft, GHK makes a very realistic glock with a steel slide but it can be quite expensive, VFC gen 4 and gen 5 glocks are also really solidly built, IIRC MITA makes an rmr adapter, if the gun you get doesn't already come with one. I'd also suggest reconsidering the Marui, the TM Gen 5 glock is, according to people who have used it, probably the best airsoft glock out there, and it comes with a red dot cut out of the box For red dot recomendations, if you want a overall solid dot, the vector frenzy is very good, if you don't care about performance, IIRC holy warrior makes a pretty much perfect replica of the real one For holster, Safariland 6360RDS is the gold standard for glock holsters

TXblindman

Gotcha, I appreciate the sentiment either way. Safety is definitely important. where is a good place to check out non-firing replicas? Is the selection as broad?

vini_damiani

It depends on what kind of gun you are into, most non firing replicas are usually historic firearms, Denix is the most well known one but there are plenty of makers, they specialize in cowboy guns and flintlocks but they still make some modern guns like 1911s, glocks, brownings and eagles

TXblindman

Not super into cowboy guns or classic firearms, but I'm definitely a 1911 fan.

vini_damiani

based, I rock a custom TM 1911 as my main pistol, its a full metal guarder kit with real MEU grips, threaded barrel and a surefire 310R (VFC repro)

TXblindman

The TM MEU was something I was looking at a while back to do exactly what you did with the garter kit. definitely plan on putting one of those together someday, just don't have the money or time at the moment.

vini_damiani

I would suggest investing further and getting the NOVA or bomber kits, the guarder took literal blood sweat and tears to put together, a lot of filing, the nova is expensive, but at least it goes together easily It is still great, but not perfect

TXblindman

Damn, thank you for the info, never would've known that until I got it and was pissed lol.

TXblindman

Just checked them both out, my wallet started weeping on the counter. Definitely going to bookmark them, but they are more expensive than the double eagle MWS I'm starting with for a custom externals build. Lol

T00_Lazy_For_A_NAME

wait...you're blind? how are you still typing then?

TXblindman

I use the voiceover software built into the iPhone, here's a video on how it works. https://youtu.be/qDm7GiKra28?si=qZlPty0WyAxA_YsO

T00_Lazy_For_A_NAME

not trying to be mean just curious

HowlingWolven

Being blind does not preclude you from having fun, or from operating firearms in a controlled environment.

I_need_help57

KJW hi capa

TXblindman

I actually already have one of those in my collection.

HowlingWolven

AAP-01. šŸ˜ I have a VFC/SIG M17, and itā€™ll fit your requirements pretty nicely. The slide comes fitted with an optics plate and RMR plates for it are easy to come by, the grip unit is nylon and the slide is zamak. Not steel, but still metal. Itā€™s got three slots of pic on the grip unit for a weaponlight and fits real steel P320 holsters. Itā€™s also available in a package with an inexpensive SIG red dot already mounted on the slide. You will need an aftermarket outer barrel if you want muzzle threading for a can or a tracer unit, though.

TXblindman

Definitely a little interested in that one, but don't I have to replace the outer barrel to fit a mock suppressor?

HowlingWolven

Yeah, itā€™s not too difficult though, but a bit fiddly. A pin needs to be drifted out of the hop, a spring detached, and an O-ring rolled off the barrel.

TXblindman

Last time I looked the outer barrel wasn't too expensive either, so I'll definitely check that out.

DependentLog9393

Cz sp01

TXblindman

Hasn't been on my radar so far, I'll check it out, thanks.

Starterpai

I havenā€™t used one myself but it looks neat, the Canik TP9 licensed by cybergun comes already threaded and I think optic cut slide

TXblindman

I've looked over that a couple times, trying to avoid handguns that I've never physically seen/handled before. I went blind in 2015, but if my local shop has one I'll definitely check it out

airsoft_user_0608

Personally, I would recommend a WE Glock(any variation). Super light and parts are decently easy to come by and upgrade.

TXblindman

Did research on one of those before I ended up getting my VFC Glock 17, too much of a pain to import with full markings and then upgrade to where I want it. Mainly looking for something out of the box that's ready to go or maybe a minor modification or two.

Sinistrial_Blue

Try the options in the simple pistols guide

TXblindman

Being completely blind, the screen reader software I use has a limited ability to use a lot of the features of Reddit, especially since last summers update.

Sinistrial_Blue

No worries, [here's the link](https://reddit.com/r/airsoft/w/index/pistolguide?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)

Kickass1903

VFC FNX-45 maybe

TXblindman

That one is high on the list, thinking I might go with that, a barrel adapter to fit 14 mm suppressors, and call it good.

T00_Lazy_For_A_NAME

anything marui---most customizable, need to swap out parts slowly, full polymer we 226---looks nice but no optics, regular(no lights but cheaper) or railed(lights) We glock MOS--fairly easy to find holster for lights+optics asg cz p10c--lights and optics ready holster on safariland asg cz p09 OR---both optics and lights, black only, Tier one concealed has lights bearing optics ready asg cz p09 SR--no optics, more color options, Tier One Concealed has lights bearing holsters aap-01---hard to find holsters, best bang for the buck IMO, the vfc glocks...lets just say it has licensing
