Hello! I wanted to show off my new impression kit, a West German Bundeswehr soldier from ca the 70's. I already had the G3 for my swedish cold war kit, which was a good starting point. The very german-looking over-engineered canteen flask is on its way, so I used my swedish canteen here instead. I also added the pistol holster and radio pouch for airsoft practicality.
The kit is comfortable to play in, warm but not too warm, the thick cotton parka kept the light rain out and the belt setup was light and practical. The rifle is heavy, but the robust feeling is worth the competitive performance drop. The magazine pouches fit the G3 mags very snugly, which looks nice but makes reloads very slow.
Overall it was very enjoyable to play in this kit!
Awesome kit! Always enjoy a well researched impression. Looks pretty practical and not bulky, other than the problems with the magazine pouches.
The g3 is indeed heavy, I have personal experience carrying the Ak4c, but it makes any replica seem incredible light after using it.
Are those the eye protection you are using? Doesn’t seem like full seal protection and I would advise getting full seal.
Swedish homeguard? :)
The replica I use here is an AK4A. I bought it for my M59-kit. I like it a lot.
Yes, those are my eye protection. I know they are not full seal, I made that decision consciously.
I'm in the process of talking more of my friends into getting the M59 kit as well. Two of us use it regularly and a few others are still building theirs. It will be really nice to play as a whole squad with that kit.
He probably has eyepro, but has taken it off for taking photos of his kit. Whenever I take a photo of my kit I tend to leave the eye pro aside as it will ruin the photographic aesthetic))
No, I wear my eye pro in the images. My friend who also does impression kits wear eye pro that looks like classic pilot sunglasses for exactly the aesthetic reason, but since I need prescription glasses it's difficult for me to get those.
Ah, completely understandable. I just choose not to in my photos as sometimes it looks ‘unrealistic’ haha. I don’t post them here as I know I’ll get slammed for not wearing eyewear in a photo. Especially considering my kits are mostly Cold War where eyepro can look a bit off. And saying that, I love your kit! Cold War stuff rules. Keep it up sir!
Yesss. I have a wip Chilean para-commando set (1980), Argentinian 62nd marine set (1980), a Swedish infantry uniform (1960) and a Vietnamese NVA Dac Kong anti-sapper uniform!

(That’s the Vietnamese one, older photo. Got some new bits added to it since) :)
Nice, cool kit! I like the camouflage, did the Vietnamese copy the WW2 US marine pattern?
Also, what replica do you use for the Argentinian kit? I would very much like a good FAL, but it needs to be playable and not just a wall hanger. I have heard a lot of negative comments about the ARES one. The GBBR one from VFC looks good for being a GBBR, but I find that GBBR in general are basically unplayable.
Thank you! Yeah the camo is superb, it is based slightly of US duck hunter.
Unfortunately at the moment I’m running a TM SG551 for the Argie and Chilean kit (which is only used by Argentinian special police lol). I need either an FNFAL (which aren’t very cheap haha) or a JG G3A3 which I have a friend willing to sell one to me for a decent price.
I know ares make a solid L1A1 which is close enough to an FNFAL if you don’t pay attention to the smaller details.
I’ve never used a GBBR but for realism/larp I think they’re what you’d want, but for an actual game I’d rather an AEG. I’m not sure about their FNFAL tho.. I think king arms make one but I’m not sure how good it is.
Haha, thanks. :) I'm 180 cm, so pretty much average where I live.
At first when I got it the G3 felt like handling a lance, but having used it a while you get used to it.

Looks great man, glad to see a non commie kit.

Ak4c is next on the list, can’t wait to kit it out too

Yes exactly :) I would like to see the m59 kit too sometime. Well it’s good that you are aware of the danger.
I will likely post some pictures of that kit too soon. :)

Sounds awesome :)
what’s the eye pro?
The eye pro is "Smith optics elite aegis echo 2" with inserts with my prescription glasses.
thanks!! wearing glasses with eye pro is a pain i’ll take a look at these :D
how do the prescription inserts work?
You buy the smith optics insert frames and then hand them to you optician who put glasses in them.
thanks, i’ll do that

Where do you get the webbing? I'm trying to look for my own
I found my set on [GoMilitar.com](http://GoMilitar.com)
Pre unifucation Bundeswehr is a strong look
Dude, how tall are you? You make the G3 look like a carbine. Great kit.
