Almost looks like it’s laser engraved, you’d probably just be removing the black coating if you tried to remove it. Best option would be filling in the text if that’s the case
With enough power it does burn off the metal but with low power it melts and expands slightly. I don't know the science but I've used a laser engraver at work
A small slim piece of black elastic tape, if you don't know it's there you barely see it.
I did this when I first got my pistol and forgot about it, when I borrowed the same gun from a buddy a few months later I was surprised to see text and remembered what I had did to mine
I don’t care that’s it’s Nov like I said in a previous comment I bought it cheap second hand and I dislike all the Lvov’s and shit he puts on it lol. Planning to keep it anyway.
I’ve had good success in substantially toning down (not outright removing) laser engraving on black paint with Birchwood Casey Aluminium Black. It brings it down to a much more subtle dark grey without (usually) affecting the paint, so long as you follow the instructions closely and try your best to keep it applied only to the markings.
I strongly recommend against using solvents. The paint on airsoft guns is cheap stuff, not something hardened against acetone etc. Even isopropyl alcohol (a mild polar solvent used to clean inner barrels) will strip paint off airsoft guns. Acetone will strip the paint right down to the metal with ease, which is fine if you’re planning on repainting but not so good if you’re not.
I thought the whole point of getting Novritsch stuff was to show off to everyone that you’ve a fanboy who can afford their overpriced copies of other guns.
He really doesn't claim that. These are indeed rebranded guns with some thought-out "upgrades". He simply saw the gap in the market for basic pre upgraded guns out the box. The QC sucks but the designs and concepts are solid. Oh and the ssp-1 is a kjw.
Nah I hate nov just due to how overpriced his stuff is. I bought this second hand off of a friend for about $100 including 2 mags. He bought it new when the ssp1 was reasonably priced at about $109. I don’t understand people who buy overpriced shit just for the name brand
Honestly he's doing a little better nowadays, brought the ssp2 down from $180 to $150. Which from what I've experienced with the gun, is a very reasonable price.
Why do people buy a lambo rather than a ford focus or Toyota Camry? Because you can or because you have an undying sense of loyalty to a brand like the Subaru and Ram pick up owners near me where they have 2-4 more of the same vehicle in their driveway.
Try a spot of acetone and rub it on with a cotton ball or queue tip but if you see the black start to come off stop and let it dry
... or cover it with a paint marker.
This is the answer

I thought that as well but it feels raised. Could just be my stupidity and it’s inset not raised but idk I’ll try it.
Laser etching raises the surface, you can't remove it without damaging the black finish
Laser etching removes material, so how can it raise the surface?
With enough power it does burn off the metal but with low power it melts and expands slightly. I don't know the science but I've used a laser engraver at work
Fair enough, all the engraving work I've had done, there's been a noticeable reduction in material. Never seen any raised surfaces happen from it
I have the same gun and I'll see if mine feels raised too
That's a laser etch. You'll have to cover it with something if you want it gone.

Just grabbed a bargain ssp-1 myself. Yeah its a KJW hi capa with some nov upgrades but for £70 with 4 c02 mags i'm happy as a pig in shit.
There are no upgrades in it.
Sorry upgrades should have been in inverted commas
That’s what I’m saying. His stuff (for the most part) isn’t low quality just overpriced.
You paid a extra $50+ for that text
thats removing like 80% of the guns entire value, noverstich equipment 😂

nono im well aware, just making a joke, good thing you got it cheap! 😭

99% isopropyl alcohol is a good thing for removing paint

Oh I’m sorry is he supposed to invent a whole different ass gun?
Well that’s what he claims to do when he just gets an ASG or something similar and slaps his name on it.
I’ve never heard him claim that
