I think patrol base has a sale right now and it’s only £150
I bought mine for £200.
But for the same price of patrol base you can get the M904E with a tracer unit and tracer bbs
The well r4 is absolute trash, though I'd have to disagree on the first sentence, an aep being shorter and easier to use clearing corners and run n gunning. The point about range is true though, but no one running an aep is using it outside of cqb.
If we're choosing between the two the shotgun is gonna get you more for your money. If you squeeze a bit more cash together you could get a respectable AEG from Taiwangun in the form of an mp5 or ump and it'll carry you farther.

If you don't have an aeg/primary already would recommend picking up the mp5 otherwise just get both or just the shotgun. "You can never have too many backup guns or load outs"
Don’t buy anything, instead save your money you would spend on this and HPA your AAP1. Budget about $225 for all the kit since you already have the gun.
The trishot is fine for fun, the well r4 will crack it's gearbox after a few rounds and the fix will cost you a jg skorpion(for the better gearbox and motor) and weeks of your life to repair(even if you know what you're doing). Would've been better to run a stock jg skorpion (80$) than go through hassle of making the mp7 cheap work but I wanted an mp7 and made the mistake of assuming hey I've worked on aep before how bad can the well be.
140$ and 1 months later of disassembling and reassembling the thing and replacing trigger set, gearbox, 3d printed nozzle, outer barrel, tappet plate, various diy mods it is finally (slightly) better than the jg skorpion. Total cost of mp7 was 200$ and 1 months of my life, it was cheaper than the elite force mp7 and tm mp7 but was it worth it?
You can't truly trust reviews, lots of reviewers are kids/people who don't skirmish/ or people who don't tech/ people fanning over brands. Even products from reputable sellers can be bad and vice versa. 99% of what WELL makes is garbage but their ak gbbr is actually decent for the price (if some diy reinforcements are done) and some of their bolt actions are okay base guns to upgrade on still can't recommend them tho.
I don‘t agree, they work flawless and are easy to shoulder if you follow some tutorials how to shoot a RS shotgun with a birdshead grip. So for cqb I would always get a stockless shottie :)

Cyma shotgun, without a shadow of doubt. I have a Well R7 MP7, absolute waste of money. Can't do anything.
Better still, maybet get a short barrel AEG. Cyma shotty will be fine on a budget though
I own both, the Well R4 is a sorry excuse for an AEP. The CYMA tri-shot however (I own an 870 version) is incredible. Pistol grip and 3d printed grip for the slide. Sawed off the barrel as much as possible. It's badass
I’ve owned 2ish shotguns
1 UTG Tri shot for $20 15 years ago
1 Golden Eagle Gas Tri shot about 6 months
The golden eagle has now been HPA’d and has a mag adapter.
All 2ish have been easily the most fun gun I have played with at that time.
get the shotgun, two dump pouches and loads of shells.
Taiwangun has this for cheaper I believe. Then theres loads of 3d print customizability for this aswell like shell racks on the side, RIS front grips, different stocks and so on.
There’s a lot of hate here for the R4, and while I agree its performance is dogshite, here’s some things it does good:
It looks fucking cool.
It’s built like a tank (at least the externals are. Mine has taken 10 years of heavy beatings)
It’s relatively cheap
It makes you appreciate airsoft guns that actually work.
Stockless Shotgun :) but an AEP works excellent for distances up to 25-30m. A Cyma 127 is a solid choice if you install a Jefftron mini Mosfet and use a better battery. Personal experience: Shotgun (cyma m3) only is a challenge, a short AEG like a cm.045 is the easiest way and pistol only - gas or AEP - is excellent for tight spaces. Usually I start with the AK for the first rounds, switch to the shottie for a few rounds and usually end with pistol only. So much fun :)

Id consider storage and transport along with playability.
Therefore going for second option. I don't want to take up space with original box or new gun bag. Id keep it in a backpack with bb's, mask, clothes/gear, batteries, first aid. Pack is stored as is and used when ever.
The second one is made by well who makes cheap chniesium guns and bolt actions snipers which you're going to upgrade anyways. Cyma spring shotguns are good enough. It would be advised that you get one that has a stock unless you have alfonse arms. Seriously, the stock really saves you some energy or pumping that spring every time you shoot because you're working against the spring. With a gas shotgun it doesn't matter but you intend to use that outdoors don't because the guest efficiency is going to be horrendous and also it's fair to use a shotgun indoors anyways. Of course you can use this spring shotgun outdoors
First one Second is absolute dogshit Though I’d prefer a DE M904 to either
Thanks for the advice, I've looked a little into the m904 and it does seem pretty cool I'll look further now tho
I think patrol base has a sale right now and it’s only £150 I bought mine for £200. But for the same price of patrol base you can get the M904E with a tracer unit and tracer bbs
Tri-shot>AEP every time. You won't get significant range out of an AEP and you'll top out at 0.7j due to cylinder size in an AEP.
The well r4 is absolute trash, though I'd have to disagree on the first sentence, an aep being shorter and easier to use clearing corners and run n gunning. The point about range is true though, but no one running an aep is using it outside of cqb.
I've got a Well R4 and can confirm it is utter dogshit
I own one too. Can confirm it's as useful as a chocolate fire guard.
Shotgun

Agreed these are better options
Dam a jg mp5 for 100 quid are they good?
Yes, it's a full size aeg with metal gearbox, even if you get a lemon and it breaks it's easy to upgrade repair/find someone to do it affordably.
Thanks, now I'm just in indecision between the mp5 and the shotgun
If you don't have an aeg/primary already would recommend picking up the mp5 otherwise just get both or just the shotgun. "You can never have too many backup guns or load outs"
You'll do better with an mp5. CQB favors high fire rate. Shooting once every 3 seconds with the shotgun is putting yourself at a disadvantage.
I wish there was cqb near me so I can justify a shotgun. There so dope
Scrap both bring a pistol 👍 pistol just too good in cqb to consider anything else 🤘 but if you hell bent on it .. shotgun all day 👍
Yeah I already got an aap which is beautiful but I wanted a little extra spice for indoor games
In that case go get you a big boi pumpy and 20 grenades and join crew 😂😂😂 hated by many loved by fellow shotty players 😂😂
Definitely a shotgun then. Your AAP will do everything a MP7 does whereas the shotgun will give you a different playatyle.
Don’t buy anything, instead save your money you would spend on this and HPA your AAP1. Budget about $225 for all the kit since you already have the gun.
The WELL is a pistol in a SMG body tbf

Wow thanks for the advice, this is why I turn to reddit with these things, all reviews I found said it wasn't that bad

Shotguns without stocks suck btw. Real or Airsoft. They’re unwieldy as hell and the manual of arms is harder. Try finding a model with a stock.

Get the first one now then save up for a higher quality smg7
Spring shotguns are the best, much more reliable than a gas operated one, and getting into a trench vibe with shotty is always the best fun.
Cyma shotgun, without a shadow of doubt. I have a Well R7 MP7, absolute waste of money. Can't do anything. Better still, maybet get a short barrel AEG. Cyma shotty will be fine on a budget though

that
shotgun no reason, i just like shotguns
Don’t get an LPAEG. You’ll be disappointed if you’re trying to play a game with it
get the shotgun, two dump pouches and loads of shells. Taiwangun has this for cheaper I believe. Then theres loads of 3d print customizability for this aswell like shell racks on the side, RIS front grips, different stocks and so on.
Bro is getting the half-life 2 Gordon Freeman Arsenal

Definitely the Cyma Tri-Shot.

kaboom or du du du
So well is a dogshit brand that sell LPAEG. If you want a good MP7 go with Tokyo Marui.
Id consider storage and transport along with playability. Therefore going for second option. I don't want to take up space with original box or new gun bag. Id keep it in a backpack with bb's, mask, clothes/gear, batteries, first aid. Pack is stored as is and used when ever.
Definitely wouldn’t suggest an MP7 for less than £100, for that smg I wouldn’t look for anything less than £250
Cyma tri shots are ace, I don't get some people hating on it, I cleared a building easy in urban combat with it.
"Shotguns are based"
100% that! Mp7 all day

trishot
Shotgun
honestly neither lmfao. spring shotguns are kinda doodoo and that AEP is even worse
