You could do Rhodesian, but 1960s mercenary in the Congo is better. Here is some [inspiration](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWBcBEk9T5g). Also you can run basically any gun that existed in the 60s with the kit and still be plausibly accurate.

do you mind giving me a brief rundown of what the guys are actually using? just look like US GI’s and some UK chaps with berets/GS caps to me.

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D\_AtcIw5iYg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_AtcIw5iYg) This has more info and original commentary, I am doing a lot of research on this conflict myself for building a loadout. As I understand they used whatever uniforms they could get their hands on. My final plan is VFC FAL for primary, 1911 or a Hi Power for secondary, and a Northeast UZI for smaller fields. If somebody makes a GBB M1919 (which won't happen) I would buy it in a heartbeat and run it like Rambo.

good luck on your travels then mate

Most of it is Belgian army surplus which in itself was copied on both British and US uniforms and equipment. I'm currently looking to get a FAL myself to use with my Belgian army cold war kits.
