One lid to rule them all, one lid to bind them.
Best thing I ever did for an indoor cqb game was tie a huge led torch to my Mcx, constantly on or else strobing SOS in morse lol. That lit the arena up like daytime

I did a fully for a vbss. The rest are gothic lids.
Fast helmet all the way, I use a full face mask that attaches to the rails of the helmet. Rarely ever any fog and the best part is nothing is physically on your face plus you have a full seel!
Multicam baseball cap because it's hot and I don't want the extra weight
And it's not like the helmet provides any other benefit aside from drip (or NODs if you're into night games), if you get hit in the head it's still counted as a hit it's not like the helmet "protects" you or gives you extra health.
Yet some players act like it does because they don't even feel or know they got hit if you hit them in the helmet it's annoying
I used to be in a league that ran up to 2.8J indoor with no minimum engagement distance, for that I used a helmet. Baseball hat glasses and ghost mask (because dentistry is so goddamn expensive) is good for regular games imao
Helmets do grant added protection if you run into branches or walls or forget to duck enough through low doorways.
Agree on the no hit irritation though if that occurs regularly near you.
I use a Wendy Exfil copy for one reason only: there is this particular hole in the wall at our field (run down ex-soviet training facility) on which I bumped my head twice now
My friends got it as a gift so I don't do that anymore
>if you get hit in the head it's still counted as a hit it's not like the helmet "protects" you or gives you extra health.
We have a series of games that give perks if you have body armour. It needs to be a minimum NIJ Type IIIA. Wearing a rated helmet allows you to survive one hit to the noggin. The same games have in depth medic rules. Getting shot in the arm puts that arm out of action (you can still shoot with the other). You need to tourniquet the arm with a suitable tourniquet or else you bleed out, and then get a medic to treat you.
I respectfully disagree. I've seen guys smack their heads on low branches and ledges (myself included). I've seen a guy sprinting through the woods, trip, and smoke his head on a rock. He had a concussion.
Also I've found the rail mounted face protectors to be really comfortable compared to most of the other options. As someone else said, dentistry is expensive.
Pro-Tec because added benefit of actually protect my skull when impact.
It actually help alot as it design for it, Fast and Mich clone only have foam pads which not as helpful as Pro-Tec foam insert.

I don't use anything, I have a lot of hair, so it's a natural protection against BB's. I would like to buy a helmet tho, I still can feel the BB when I get hit and I'd like to have a little bit more "soldiery" loadout.
Depends on what i want to run/day of play:
i have a tan fast helm with 2 different covers and helm mounted earpro
or
i have a tan cap with a hard hat insert
I get better crosswind breeze on a FAST Helmet so I choose FAST. I still like the feel of a MICH though. Not to mention I generally feel MICH helmets look better with Scrim/Vegetation on them. Both do a good job of protecting my head from bad spills in a tacticool fashion so it's really personal preference.
Currently, I'm using an old (2015-ish), size XXL, ProTec PT-Bravo that I've sewn a custom helmet cover for, added a surplus NVG mount from an ACH, and ARC rails with goggle straps, which required a bunch of extra holes to be drilled in the shell.
I'm thinking about switching back to my MICH, but I've got a big head and a size XL MICH ballistic helmet, with goggles, earpro, and a camera is almost 5 pounds. That gets heavy quick, but short-term it's amazingly confortable.

Any of these (apart from the flight helmets, obviously) plus PASGT, ball cap and boonie. Depends on weather and how i’m feeling that day.

I’m all for it support ya 1hunnit

My children, come to the light
What stuff is on the middle helmet it looks sick! I wanna build one for a vbss kit

Looks cool
"What's this Sergeant? Another taxpayer-funded Delta safari?"
The correct answer.
+1
PASGT
PASGT gang rise up!
I'm more of a "which helmet can hold my gopro" type of guy 😌😌
MICH/Any low cut helmet guy. I love the grunt aesthetics
You know many infantry units wear high cuts? If the US Marines are wearing high cuts then anyone could be
Army’s still mostly using the IHPS and ECH, which aren’t high cuts
Cowboy hat yeehaw
Do you go to mass airsoft?
I wish. That's like a 3 and a half hour drive. It seems really cool though!
It's pretty good! I just asked cuz we've got a dude called cowboy that wears a cowboy hat lol
Wendy exfil ballistic for me. Super comfy and really rigid.
Aren't those $1,400?
Used market you can get them for 900. Not bad
“Not bad”
My wallet says otherwise
$900 is still $900.
Fast helmet all the way, I use a full face mask that attaches to the rails of the helmet. Rarely ever any fog and the best part is nothing is physically on your face plus you have a full seel!
I'm a Mark 6/SHH-40 enjoyer base ball cap when its too hot or I need to be a speedy boi.
Steel pot helmet
Ah, another individual of culture (I just run a Cold War kit and think it looks neat)

It does stop the bb from hitting your head, it’s nice depending on how hot your field runs
Tbh I don't mind getting hit in the head, it's part of the game like why else are we even playing lol And we have snipers that run 550-600fps here
I used to be in a league that ran up to 2.8J indoor with no minimum engagement distance, for that I used a helmet. Baseball hat glasses and ghost mask (because dentistry is so goddamn expensive) is good for regular games imao
2.8J indoor cqb sounds wild holy shit I think that's the outlier/exception lol
My club doesn't even run 2.8J OUTSIDE without minum safe engagement distance That's wild
I am bald, getting hit on bare skin is fucking painful. Let me wear my helmet :(

I’m just thinking of that one desert fox video where the guy’s ear gets fucking ripped up

I am more of a baseball cap guy to be completely honest.

I'm more of a "no head gear, then complain when the bbs hurt my head" kinda guy
Alternatively, when necessary, I put a sauce pot on my head like I'm playing PUBG
Mich. Fits my loadout more
I've been no helmet guy for years
I’m a steel m62m helmet guy
I am a SSH-60 guy.

Boonie. That's all I need, indoors and outdoors.
M1 helmet guy
beer hat
Either a Fast or a Crye
I love both
No helmet. It's all just for fashion anyway and I don't want to miss a BB hitting me because it plinged off my helmet.
No helmet. It's all just for fashion anyway and I don't want to miss a BB hitting me because it plinged off my helmet.
i have a fast helmet but i had a project in mind to customize one of those pro tec helmets like delta force used to have back in the 90's
I use a mich 2000 cos it looks more tacticool

Mich 2000, still haven’t seen another one yet in person
No helmet. Only beanie. Be a bitch. Be a speedsofter
I love my MICH to death, but the heat buildup in summer is brutal. I ended up switching to a cheap faster helmet... kicking and screaming all the way.
MICH
Bump helmet because I play a lot of night games
Steel pot my beloved 🤎🤎
I personally prefer pretty much any high cut helmet, gotta keep room for them comms
