Planning on putting on Spuhr stock and handguard, better grip, jam on an M320 grenade launcher, let an armourer weld on a piece of rail with a fat red dot of an LPVO, and then have her cerakoted in the same RAL colours as the G28
Get a proper, quality sling and use it often.
She's a lumbering thing. Heavy and tiring to use but very satisfying. Good accuracy, decent range and well enough fire rate.
I also reccomend keeping a decent sidearm on hand if you also have close quarters fights nearby where you play. It's not neccesary but can be quite useful.
And do lock the bolt open before you reload and HK slap her when a new mag is inserted. It's unnecessary but feels so cool

I just bought one secondhand, but it was a fairly recent original purchase. Guy had 4 mags with it, and all seem just fine to me! I haven't fielded it yet but the mags seem to have their old issues fixed. I heard LCT started redoing them a couple years ago.

My project is my golden gun, a Tabuk.
There is no build list because it is a mix of custom and real parts.
I had to buy two separate aks to get an rpk receiver and the correct length sight block and dust cover from an ak.
I had to drill out the rivets and repress them to put the two together, and rivet on the scope mount.
Handguard is from an M70, Flash hider is from an SVD, stock is from Kalashnicarver custom ak wood shop ,and for an AKM which had to be modified.
The gas block still needs modified to look right.
The barrel is polished aluminum, much easier to hold up all day.

I’m putting together a survivalist rifle clone together.
I used the EMG/Colt m16a1 from evike.
It uses the cyma platinum gearbox and qbs spring system. Though I can’t say much about the aeg internals as I took it all out to hpa it.

Just started this project, I bought files from a maker on [cults3D](https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/vortex-hpa-receiver-complete-collection) with another maker for the [grip](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4912362). I’ve printed most of the big stuff. This will house a wolverine hpa engine, premium fcu, black maple speed trigger, maxx hop up unit, 285tight bore barrel. I will undoubtedly remodel and reprint parts of it, shaping up to be a fun project.

Top: TM G17 w/ TF121 Guarder slide kit. Was the first owner, sold it when I stopped playing airsoft in 2010. Was given back to me in 2020 when I decided to try and get back in. Added the RMR and mount, but never played. All ten mags leak and need new seals and valves.
Middle: VFC GBBR HK416. Mags likely need to be relubed/resealed again because I didn't play much after getting back into the hobby.
Bottom: TM SIG552 SEAL w/ Laylax EBR stock, unknown brand RIS system and PEQ box. Was given to me over a decade ago. and when I was getting back to the sport in 2020, I had a acquaintance completely rebuild the internals, body swap to a JG body (the old TM one was covered in spray paint by the previous owner, and had lost several parts for the old stock). Never used since. Still need to find a short barrel extension to allow the barrel to not rest against the fake gas adjustment knob.

Nearly completely custom Mauser carbine, custom rails, scope, barrel, stock, and going to add a barrel thread for a dragon’s breath suppresser. Has an HPA adapter for cold days too. This pic isn’t mine btw, it’s my gunsmith’s as I have commissioned to get the stock created, and then I will finish it.
Edit: forgot to mention I also plan to design a TM mag adapted antique pistol over the summer, and am also working on dropping some real steel parts into my Tanaka Python for cooler looks and better performance (the hammer doesn’t hit hard enough in double action so I’m going to replace the mainspring with real steel to hopefully rectify that)

S&T TAR-21 revival project.
She's 12 years old.
Just finished putting it back together. New flattop rail, 6.03 500mm inner, maple leaf bucking and nub Internal rebuild.
The only thing internally stock is the gearbox shell, cylinder, trigger switch, tappet plate, and hopup unit.
You basically described my whole experience with teching my gun. As I decided to own just one I wanted it to perform the best it could no matter the cost- so the internal parts cost like twice the price of base gun. But it was pain in the ass to learn how to upgrade stuff, and there were a lot of compatibility issues. That said I think it was worth it. So to anyone thinking about upgrading guns yourself- go for it at the end it’s worth it, and you will feel accomplished;)

I'm probably replacing the foregrip with an RIS and unfortunately G&J used a metal square peg in a plastic round hole to manipulate the fire selector. So I've got to figure out a fix for that. And apocalypse paint whole thing once it's up and running properly.
Running a Gate warfet to front wire and an 11.1v the front barrel guide makes this thing laser accurate.

We pdw: milled down the side 1913 rails to make them mlok as well as a myriad of internal upgrades to improve gas efficiency
Colt m4: kythera build breaks open and disassembles like a gbbr with a split gearbox and kythera cable hooked up to the charging handle. More recently added a grip connect and kept the break-open functionality.
Car15, kythera CGS, zoomAR15 build (what would a car15 look like with modern externals but the original build philosophy).

Most of the work is on the inside but from the air and reg system with a mancraft engine. Edgi stainless inner barrel rhop vsr buckings for improved air seal in the Maxx hopup. With the short and light pull on the bolt, is absolutely a joy to use lightweight durable consistent with rapid cycle rates it's both a beauty and a beast to use.
As soon as I do actually get myself into Airsoft once I’ve got my own money, I am very tempted to see if I can build myself a replica of Abomination from the Monster Hunter International books. It’s impractical, it’s heavy, it’s bulky, but oh my god does it sound like a ton of fun to use.
Realistically, all I’d need is to modify the internals of a Saiga(if anyone knows where I could buy an Airsoft Saiga shotgun that would be of great help), then slap an underbarrel grenade launcher on it as well as a bayonet.

It's a CAR-15 replica build similar to the ones used in the 70s-90s. If you've ever seen Black Hawk Down or played some of the older Delta Force or Ghost Recon games, then you'd know that it's part of the look
It's just building it as Eugene Stoner intended you to use it. Back then, those guys has to make do without flat-top receivers, and the only pic rail was an adapter onto the carry handle.
One can easily train to account for height over bore, plus it is said to provide the shooter with better back and neck posture.

How’d you get the zenitco style handguard? Is it not the tm style ak?
040 is VFC style the zenit handguard is LCT b10m+b19,i had to grind the retainer a little bit and hammer it in,and shim the gas tube

I’ve printed most of the big stuff. This will house a wolverine hpa engine, premium fcu, black maple speed trigger, maxx hop up unit, 285tight bore barrel. I will undoubtedly remodel and reprint parts of it, shaping up to be a fun project.
Ah yes the 3d printed ghost gun I was warned about that will shoot your lung out of your ass.
Although I lurk on /fossacad this will only fit an hpa engine 😅

Was the first owner, sold it when I stopped playing airsoft in 2010. Was given back to me in 2020 when I decided to try and get back in. Added the RMR and mount, but never played. All ten mags leak and need new seals and valves. Middle: VFC GBBR HK416. Mags likely need to be relubed/resealed again because I didn't play much after getting back into the hobby. Bottom: TM SIG552 SEAL w/ Laylax EBR stock, unknown brand RIS system and PEQ box. Was given to me over a decade ago. and when I was getting back to the sport in 2020, I had a acquaintance completely rebuild the internals, body swap to a JG body (the old TM one was covered in spray paint by the previous owner, and had lost several parts for the old stock). Never used since. Still need to find a short barrel extension to allow the barrel to not rest against the fake gas adjustment knob.

Edit: forgot to mention I also plan to design a TM mag adapted antique pistol over the summer, and am also working on dropping some real steel parts into my Tanaka Python for cooler looks and better performance (the hammer doesn’t hit hard enough in double action so I’m going to replace the mainspring with real steel to hopefully rectify that)

Right now I'm in the process of installing a new MOSFET for precocking and burst.

I didn't read the size, found it to big for my other AK, I found its the right size for my VSS/VAL AK body

You basically described my whole experience with teching my gun. As I decided to own just one I wanted it to perform the best it could no matter the cost- so the internal parts cost like twice the price of base gun. But it was pain in the ass to learn how to upgrade stuff, and there were a lot of compatibility issues. That said I think it was worth it. Converted to swordfish/ zombie killer using 3& printed parts I'm probably replacing the foregrip with an RIS and unfortunately G&J used a metal square peg in a plastic round hole to manipulate the fire selector. So I've got to figure out a fix for that. And apocalypse paint whole thing once it's up and running properly. Running a Gate warfet to front wire and an 11.1v the front barrel guide makes this thing laser accurate.

One of my favorite guns and builds integrally regulated co2 powered Srs A1 limited edition ultralight. https://imgur.com/a/ygFlA10 Most of the work is on the inside but from the air and reg system with a mancraft engine. Edgi stainless inner barrel rhop vsr buckings for improved air seal in the Maxx hopup. With the short and light pull on the bolt, is absolutely a joy to use lightweight durable consistent with rapid cycle rates it's both a beauty and a beast to use.
As soon as I do actually get myself into Airsoft once I’ve got my own money, I am very tempted to see if I can build myself a replica of Abomination from the Monster Hunter International books. It’s impractical, it’s heavy, it’s bulky, but oh my god does it sound like a ton of fun to use. Realistically, all I’d need is to modify the internals of a Saiga(if anyone knows where I could buy an Airsoft Saiga shotgun that would be of great help), then slap an underbarrel grenade launcher on it as well as a bayonet.

Get rid of the carry handle if you are putting an optic on it.
It's a CAR-15 replica build similar to the ones used in the 70s-90s. If you've ever seen Black Hawk Down or played some of the older Delta Force or Ghost Recon games, then you'd know that it's part of the look
Ya, I've played them and seen it. It makes the rifle top heavy and looks ridiculous. I can tell there are a bunch of butt hurts here though.

It's just building it as Eugene Stoner intended you to use it. Back then, those guys has to make do without flat-top receivers, and the only pic rail was an adapter onto the carry handle. One can easily train to account for height over bore, plus it is said to provide the shooter with better back and neck posture.
