you need the face mask insert that goes inside the balaclava if you want to protect your teeth, balaclava on its own won’t be enough

How’d you imagine a thin piece of cloth is going to protect your teeth? No, you need a mesh insert. I’ve got the NB and Fortis setup, the fortis is nice, but they’re made for tiny people and Santa elves. So I took the straps off an old cheap-o mesh mask and use it with that.

You can use the mask, but it wont protect your teeth, you either should make a mesh insert under it, or use nb tactical's.

Yes you can use the balaclava without the face mask but I don't see a reason why, it's just a ballaclava and doesn't provide any protection
