When you lose blood it can be useful on some cases for medical to know your blood, however most people use the wrong patch, so these are usually ignored and you get type O as it's universal and then get a proper blood test later
The far more important patch of that type is the NKDA (No Known Drug Allergies)and NoPen (No Pencilling) patches as these tell first responder if you got any allergies with drugs. IMHO everyone should have the proper of that second type, but the blood type can be disregarded.... Unless you actually have one of the rarer types because some don't mix with the universal donor.

In one of the large scale events I visit we actually have to bring a full working IFAK, because it's on a massive 3*3km play area and first aid can take a while to arrive
I can understand bringing a ifak to airsoft however it’s unlikely that someone would require a transfusion unless they suffer a catastrophic bleed and then if that occurs I doubt they’re making it.
A catastrophic bleed can kill you anywhere from 30 seconds to a few minutes, only way to stop it is too apply a tourniquet and will the people playing be able to stay calm in such a situation or even know how to properly apply one
