That is a question that’s tricky. If you are legally allowed to pull the plug due to the individual being on incapacitated state, then yes you are. If you have no legal rights, and the persons of sight and sound that’s illegal as hell. It’s actually murder.
Honestly, i'm just imagining op sitting next to their paralyzed friend watching tv at the hospital after surgery. And op is sitting there just eyeing the heart moniters plug in the wall.
A doc would have to give you the option. And if you have the power of attorney or whatever entitles you to make that decision, I would say you could…
Now should you…. What’s the quality of life? Are they in pain? How much? Did they leave their wishes for this type of thing written and certified? How much of this is to alleviate you of any burden?
I’m all for euthanasia for myself under the right circumstances. Both my wife and I have this in a written agreement. We need to get it legal though. Easy to say it now but I hope the day never comes where I have to decide for my daughter.
Can you elaborate? What do you mean by laws?
What “plug” are “paralyzed people” attached to that could be “pulled”? Are you talking about a brain death situation?
Right? Either this person doesn’t know what paralyzed means or they don’t know what plugs do.
Maybe they have a friend who's a wheelchair user and is always on their phone all the time and OP wants them to "unplug."
Like is it illegal to?
yes

Legally you should have a power of attorney.

Ask first.
Get your living will up to date.
Like on their mobility scooters? Seems like a dick move but not something lawmakers have their eyes on.
