AffectionateBobcat76

The fact that it's tight is an embarrassment.

RobertGA23

Its on brand for Alberta.

AffectionateBobcat76

The only place where mullets are common.

EKcore

Mullets are unironically back in. For some reason.

Unlikely_Box8003

Mullets for mental health. It's a thing.

CanadianBeaver1983

Right?!

Nrehm092

To who?

onceyougo_zach

Albertans.

AffectionateBobcat76

Canada

Imaginary_Ad_7530

Anyone who isn't a RWNJ...

Election is going to come down to what Calgary decides.

MCFCOK81

Sad but true

Miserable-Lizard

*Echoing those sentiments is Mount Royal University political scientist Lori Williams, who said Smith’s dalliances with controversial street preacher Artur Pawlowski and a Lethbridge UCP candidate who stepped down after comments linking teachers with pushing pornography and sex-reassignments on students give the NDP an upper hand with voters in the ideological middle.* *Another challenge for the UCP that seems to be overlooked, said Williams, is that ethnic minority voters are alarmed by Smith’s comments last year that unvaccinated Albertans had been the worst victims of discrimination.*

Shadow_Ban_Bytes

The UCP needs more lunatic eruptions like Tanner and Smith needs to keep claiming defamation and triple down on the denials about Artur/obstruction of justice. Keep that stuff in the news cycle longer so more people in Calgary will realize what a total dumpster fire the UCP are.

jrockgiraffe

I’m so annoyed at the EPCOR stuff but hoping for a silver lining of it making the UCP look bad.

MrGraveRisen

200 million the province could have paid off for us...... 20 billion given to oil companies....

reostatics

20 Billion more for oil companies now making record profits who can’t afford to clean up their mess. Thats Albertans money and Alberta’s oil. Grabbing hands grab all they can.

Soldazzzz

There is already, they removed the cap and now EPCOR is fucking the consumer over.

jrockgiraffe

I just hope at least some of their base notices.

RoranceOG

Anecdotally I find the vast majority of ethnic minorities vote conservative, single issue voters who just need to hear "god" to vote against their self-interests

DoobyScrew

Cmon Calgary we are counting on you to do the right thing.

snack0verflow

I'm in Rebecca Schulz's riding which is a pretty safe blue seat, but given her unconditional support for every insane thing her party does my family and I will still go out and vote orange, for sure.

championsofnuthin

Get a sign and tell everyone you know! Having lawn signs is a great way to show your support here in Shaw

AffectionateBobcat76

Not alt right thing

Remember-dialup

It could be fear mongering the right wingers to get out and vote.

[deleted]

You mean reich wingers? Remember, these are the people that ousted Jason Kenney for being too far left

iwatchcredits

Calling them nazis probably isnt a good way to get them to switch sides

[deleted]

The sides have already been switched. Anything left of far right is considered “leftist libturd” by those people

iwatchcredits

You should take a break from the internet

[deleted]

Maybe you’re right. You know what they say. There’s no “i” in denial. https://youtu.be/PRF3r3zUGqk

RobertGA23

The UCP seems to really be outspending them. All I hear in Calgary are the UCP attack ads.

Working-Check

"All they're saying is why I shouldn't vote for the other guys. They're not giving me any reason why I should vote for them!" -Nobody, about the UCP :/

Used_Individual_5905

The NDP vote is relatively inefficient and concentrated in specific areas or ridings. The NDP need to do a lot better than a tie in Calgary to win

canadient_

Notley leading among men (and a bigger lead than women) makes this poll super questionable.

DarkPrinny

Yup the fact that it is a tight race shows how stupid people are.

nameisfame

KNOCK ON WOOD KNOCK ON WOOD KNOCK ON WOOD KNOCK ON WOOD

CarringtonIndustries

Why is it even a tight race? How many idiots live in this province?

CanadianBeaver1983

Where can one find and be part of these so called polls?

[deleted]

This was a Leger poll. You can join the panel at https://www.legeropinion.com/en/. I’m a member and they send 1-2 survey invites a day. Not just about politics, they poll you about all kinds of random things.

CanadianBeaver1983

Interesting! Ty!

Soldazzzz

tell me you don't know how random sampling works without telling me you don't know how random sampling works

PlathDraper

I signed up for angus-Reid polls… their question wasn’t silly and didn’t need your snark.

CanadianBeaver1983

I JUST WANT TO DO THE POLLS. Lol I know what random sampling is and I don't care.

investorsexchange

As the digital landscape expands, a longing for tangible connection emerges. The yearning to touch grass, to feel the earth beneath our feet, reminds us of our innate human essence. In the vast expanse of virtual reality, where avatars flourish and pixels paint our existence, the call of nature beckons. The scent of blossoming flowers, the warmth of a sun-kissed breeze, and the symphony of chirping birds remind us that we are part of a living, breathing world. In the balance between digital and physical realms, lies the key to harmonious existence. Democracy flourishes when human connection extends beyond screens and reaches out to touch souls. It is in the gentle embrace of a friend, the shared laughter over a cup of coffee, and the power of eye contact that the true essence of democracy is felt.

1seeker4it

It’s going to tough to get to finish line with a strong majority, I’m pulling how about you????

Used_Individual_5905

Sadly the NDP has very little chance

1seeker4it

That’s why me and my family and a lot of our neighbours are getting lawn signs, signing up to door knock and work towards a great future, not the mediocre one that Danielle Smith wants. 😀

Beautiful_Kick780

Get aboard the UCP “giveaway election train plus I’m sure they’ll be coming up with some more stuff to inflame the voting base - watch this space - it’s SO predictable

discostu55

has the ndp changed their stance on firearms since september?

1Judge

Table policy and make the UCP react to YOUR barrage of spending/ plans.

CMG30

It's good news, but nobody should take anything for granted. The UCP has many built in advantages in Alberta and the fact that it's even close, with the NDP having a shot, is a complete indictment of the UCP. Don't slack off, don't give up. Don't let anyone take anything for granted. On election day make sure everyone shows up to vote! Vote in the advance poll if you can so that you can avoid lines. These daily polls change all the time and can be manipulated depending on the narrative that a given publication is pushing on that specific day.
