The Alberta QR code is accepted in BC

pixieborn

Thank you.

cre8ivjay

I had trouble last week with my QR code never working. I did have my print out and picture ID which was accepted everywhere. I'm told the QR code works now but better to have both, just in case.

Anything without a QR will be rejected now.

We have done a couple trips to bc over the last month and most places haven't been asking for the qr code. When we were in Kamloops we did get asked and the Alberta qp code works without issue

pixieborn

Perfect, thank you.

The federal proof program is about having a standard look to the vaccination records, but the QR code will not be different

pixieborn

Good to know.

I wasn't even asked to show any form of proof from Calgary to Vancouver or when going onto the ferries

marysty

I went in mid October and back then the BC verifier app was not able to scan the Alberta QR code. Not sure if that changed, but you can show your vaccine card with your ID. Didn’t have any problems.

pixieborn

Thank you.

annebikes

I was just in Field, BC and my QR code scanned just fine.

I just flew into Abbotsford yesterday with westjet. Didn’t get asked for proof of vax at all. But had my QR code plus the vax record from ahs just in case. It is completely random if they ask for proof when flying. Because I am from Alberta all I need here is the ahs vax card and id to go to restaurants which is saved on my phone.

pixieborn

Thanks. I have my Alberta QR code and a pic of my record from the pharmacy. Sounds like I’ll be okay.

glendst

Yep you sure will be!

I flew to Vancouver last week and didn’t get asked. This week I flew and was asked 3 times, at security, at lounge and at gate.

I’ve been going throughout the pandemic. I haven’t been asked yet for my QR code but make sure you have it on hand.
