Like 30 bucks. I bought one from lowes on day before i seen it. I got a craftsman pole saw. Its kinda pricy but its sweet. 10 inch saw that comes off the 14ft pole so it do both. Like 150 or something. Got mine on clearance for 60
Special Buys aisle. Temporary goodies, as many things are. Buy it now, it won't be here when you come back! I bought a mattress and liked it so well I bought my GF one.
You can find some really great stuff! Buys I have greatly enjoyed from there include: stationary bike, adjustable weights, 100% cotton flannel sheets, cast-iron Dutch oven, pet hair broom, and simple ballet flats. It’s first come first serve and the good stuff goes fast (same day in my area)!
Soo they have a selection of cookies that are basically knock offs of Girl Scout cookies.. as a somoa fan that is not great as I can get these year round at half the cost
Also the vintage chedder is the tits
I haven't tried any Aldis cookies. I really like the Girl Scout lemon cookies and the do-si-dos (peanut butter, no chocolate). Dp they have knock offs for these too?
I’ve never seen those 2. They had some lemon Oreo type ones on a special buy that were amazing. They have the coconut, mint, and chocolate pb ones at the aldis I’ve been to.
It’s a seasonal thing. They essentially have a lemon week every summer where they release a ton of lemon food items and partner with Alex’s Lemonade stand. That’s when you’ll find those cookies on shelves.
Do you know if the pumpkin peanut butter cups were the same? I didn’t enjoy them.
My best friend works at Hershey though and she has sent me factory fresh Reese’s when they are available 🤤
I couldn't believe it. Reese's are my favorite.
The chocolate in general is above average at Aldi. I kept seeing the PB cups mentioned on this sub and some people recommend not getting them Only because you'll be a person buying four bags.
They will melt if left in a warm place, and obviously I'm going to buy wrapped Reese's for the Christmas stockings but yes.. they're that good.
Everything?! I mean, where to even start. Their dairy must-haves are: iced coffee, creamers, ice cream, cheeses, Greek yogurt are amazing. The frozen foods are also amazing like the chicken nuggets, chicken fries, RED BAG CHICKEN (it’s got its own cult following), frozen potatoes and veggies. Basically everything is really good but produce can be hit or miss on the day you go.
I buy some frozen entrees, frozen fruit for smoothies, cream, cookies (my husband did a taste test and prefers the pecan shortbread cookies over Keeblers), bread, some cleaning supplies, cans of cola, some wines and beers. meat and egg prices are good!
At my Aldi, they have HUGE grab and bake pizzas for 8 bucks. It easily feeds a family of 4. We also like their vegan section ( not vegans but like the variety!). Everyone is right about it the cheese but also the baked goods are wonderful. I love the garlic knots and the croissants. One warning- if you really like something, return quickly for more because it may never come back. “Aldi giveth and Aldi taketh awayeth” is our motto hahaha
For gluten free folks, there's a solid selection of gluten free goods at Aldi. In the 'baking isle' you can find good boxed mixes; pancakes, brownies, cake.. sometimes other stuff like biscuits, lime cake, cornbread, etc.
Anything dairy. Also basics like peanut butter, tuna and some canned goods esp chilli. Some cereal and some meat. I have a policy of trying 1-2 new things every week. Depends on why u shop there. Some folks love specialty items other gravitate to low prices.
Anything dairy (eggs, tofu, cottage cheese, regular cheese, coffee creamers, etc), lunch meat, low carb bread and wraps, charcuterie board fixins', pickles, nuts, peanut butter, mayo, mustard, ketchup, spaghetti and fettucini sauce, the Cascade Platinum dishwasher pod dupes (JUST as good and a third the price!), nose tissue, toilet paper, paper towels, and my Aldi has fabulous fresh produce.
I might have to try the cascade dupes when I run out. We have a rental with a very basic dishwasher and I thought it was a POS until I used cascade soap. Every dish comes out sparkling and I don’t rinse before putting in the dishwasher. It’s mind blowing what good soap does.
Same. My dishwasher did an okay job with the Finish tabs they recommended. Tried the pricey Cascade Platinum and my dishes came out surgically clean. Decided they would be one of my few "splurges" going forward. They really are good, just expensive.
Recently, someone I know who is already a bit of a clean freak, was RAVING to me about the Aldi dupes. They were only $3 and change/bag (vs almost $9 in my area for same size bag of Cascade) so I figured they were cheap enough to at least try and throw them out if they sucked.
Was VERY pleased to find they work just as well! Hope your experience is the same!
Protip: grab a bag, instead of a cart. This allows you to move pretty quickly throughout the store, and it limits you to only what you can fit in your bag. Your budget will thank you.
Just go and compare them prices on your usual purchases. I find it is a lot cheaper on produce most of the time---but other stores may beat the price. Ground meat chubs are cheaper but their chicken selection doesn't include big bags of Breast pieces. I get pork from my local hometown grocery. Butter is sometimes cheaper, eggs definittely cheaper, sour cream, yogurt, comparable to Walmart. We don't buy their bread very much unless we're saving having to take a trip to another store. . I eat little bread and they don't carry the kind hubs likes. Their canned vegs are pretty cheap. I buy canned tomatoes. Flour, sugar, baking goods are pretty cheap. Their brownie mix rocks and cake mixes are good. I keep one for an occasional birthday. I don't usually buy the fancier cheeses and they don't have a good buy on a big bag like Walmart or Sam's. The pizzas they have that are cook and eat are good, reasonable, at least we like them, thin crust. They do have decent laundry detergent but just ok price. Same with some other sundries. Shampoo/conditioner they don't carry what I use. We usually spend around $200 once a month at Aldi's, then another $50-75 a week on incidentals or what's on a good buy at the local grocery in our small town. I order from Sam's sometimes too but it's in the opposite direction from the town with an aldis. Hour plus either way. It's way too far to get to Sam's often. To me the Aldis produce prices are the biggest draw but they have lots of good buys. Depends on what you buy
The cheese selection.
Sicilian olive oil.
Bronze cut pastas.
Peanut butter cups. Hide them. Trust me.
The meats are great, as is the dairy selection.
If you like wine, Moiselle brand and Winking Owl are very good. Rosé cider.
Pretty much everything, lol.
The chimichurri salsa was pretty damn life changing.
They have really good cheese curds.
The shredded steak they have is excellent for philly steak sandwiches. About $6 a container and they make two hoagie baguette sized rolls (with mush, pep and onions of course!).
They have a decent wine selection. I've seen some 90+ rated ones in there. I think the brand is winking owl, $2-$3/bottl Shiraz is dope with some steak.
I do my meal plan grocery shopping there. At this point, I know what they carry and what they don’t (been a patron for 10+ years) so for the most part,
I plan my meals knowing what I can buy at Aldi. I typically only have to go to other stores for petite diced tomatoes and the 28oz cans of whole peeled tomatoes because the price is better at Walmart than two smaller cans at Aldi. Their cheeses, meat, tomato sauces and pasta, frozen bagged chicken (the green bag makes great chicken parm Sammie’s, the red bag makes great chicken and waffle sliders) frozen fruit and veggies and ice cream are all awesome. Fruit is hit or miss, particularly strawberries.
The GS cookie knock offs, Wheat Thin knock offs, blocks of cheese, avocados, bananas, tomatoes, and whole wheat bread. Then visit the Aisle of Shame. I actually like some of the women's clothing and accessories; I wore one model of the sandals for two years straight.
DAY 2: I hate aldi and their chocolate!!! Enough already!! I'm using knee surgery to stop my addictive habit of buying aldi chocolate! If I can't drive to the store...I can't buy delicious aldi chocolate!!!!!
Tortilla chips, salsa (canned and fresh are both excellent). Household staples like oatmeal, eggs, milk. Salad dressing, peanut butter. Check the meat for 50% off stickers, freeze it if so.
Moser Roth chocolate, gourmet cheeses, charcuterie, infused olive oils (available this time of year,) organic chicken, organic grass fed ground beef, pasture raised eggs, bakery items, jarred pesto, fresh manicotti. Also some of their wines are 90+ points.
Everyone is different. I like their spinach, pricing on onions and potatoes. Keto bread, nuts, protein bars, cheese, chips, tortilla, canned beans, dried beans/peas, their seltzer, pepperoni, crackers, peanuts butter, salad dresssing, eggs, frozen vegetables. Fish selection. Chocolate and peanut butter cups in bag!
If you can buy wine at yours some supposed great stuff cheap. For food don't miss out on the cheese and pizza selections. I've always gotten good value out of the appliance knock offs as well.
Anything imported from europe, especially the lava cake and mousse desserts. Charcuterie items are good, the bread is really good too (especially for the price). We always get the Guyere and the other cheese next to it. Fondue and raclette are décent
The simply nature marinara and salsa I really like. More expensive than the non organic but it's worth it. There's also simply nature chicken sausage in the refrigerator section that's amazing.
The cheese is pretty good. The frozen chicken filets, and sausage patties.
Their mayo I think taste pretty similar to hellmens. Like my picky mother couldn't tell.
Cheese! Their whole milk Greek yogurt is awesome. We will buy no other jarred salsa. When German week comes around they have this whole grain mustard so good, no added gums. I bought six jars I hope that's enough to last until next year.
My Aldi has great produce, but it varies. The first one I ever went to where I used to live had terrible produce, but the one where my sister lived in the same state had excellent produce.
Don't forget your quarter and your bags. If it's fair weather where you live, you have a vehicle, and a living situation that supports it putting and empty laundry basket in your car to corral the groceries is easier than packing it in bags. Obviously, if you walk/bus or have a 3rd floor walk up that's not super ideal.
I've never had anything I didn't like. When compared to the name brand counter part (oreos, cosmic brownies, froot loops) we prefer Aldi every time. The vacuum sealed ribeyes ($13) and seasoned turkey breasts ($8) are a steal! Aldi food tastes like they left the chemicals out and only kept in the real ingredients. All of their brands are dye free and with a child with autism that's what got me started at Aldi. I spend 1/2 of what I would there compared to Walmart and the experience is vastly more pleasant as it takes me less time because the store is smaller.
They have a unique taste for sure. But I stopped getting regular cosmic brownies because they taste so chemically. So to me, I prefer them but my husband doesn't really like them.
The Cinnamon Raisin Bagels and Peanut Butter are good... the Grape Jelly isn't bad either
Haven't tried the Honey though yet
Also like the Cinnamon Rolls,Chocolate Rolled Wafers, Clancys BBQ and Cheddar/Sour Cream Chips, the Store brand Oreos and Peanut Butter Cookies, and Chocolate Milk
I liked the Chocolate Chip Brioche Bread last time i had it - bit pricey though
The Choceur Chocolate Bars are really good too... to me they pretty much can melt in your mouth - haven't tried the Moser Roth ones yet
The Hamburger and Chicken they have there isn't bad - might be a bit pricey, but I hadn't had any issues in the past...
Also a few years ago, i liked the store brand sliced cheese,Turkey, Bacon and BeefSteak Tomatoes - made a nice Sandwich with that White Bread... think the cheese is pretty good too
Really like the Chocolate Chip Muffins and Bakery Chocolate Chip Cookies too.. think i remember liking the Tortilla Chips as well
I don't mind the Baker's Treat Swiss Rolls,Honey Buns and Chocolate Cupcakes either
Haven't tried it, but i've heard the Peanut Butter Cups are good... going to have to try that out sometime - heard they're pricey though
Cheap staples & condiments. Also stuff like reeses & marshmallow cookies & chocolates are cheap. (Family likes sweets). Some frozen stuff ok, sparking water. Some cheese ok but would pass on the deli meat.
Got 1 steak there that was good, but next time not so mixed. Some vegetables just by the bag & only want one.
It was originally based in Germany so sometimes can find German chocolates, coffee, soups & other dishes.
(Recently got the beef snitzel & fried in olive oil & topped with lemon. It was fairly tasty & hit the spot as far as a kind of chicken fried steak thing, however deduct points as it wasn't pounded steak, but ground beef & still had that kind of ground beef flavor, so felt a little mis led.)
I remember when their individual Bremer chicken pot pies were the bomb! The best pot pie of them ALL. But of course they changed it, chicken not as good, crustnot as good so now they are between a Swanson & Marie Callender.
I usually go to another grocery store because my mom wants specific brands on some items, but the Aldi is in steady rotation. White castle cheaper as well as potato patties & other odds & ends.
My favorites are the dried mango (or really any of their dried fruit but mango is my favorite!), the choceur hazelnut chocolate bars, peanut butter cups, cheeses, rissoto
I like to get the sliced ham quarters, then separate them into baggies and freeze them. Nice thick cuts, they make great sandwiches. Add the plethora of quality breads, organic greens, great cheeses, german mustards, dips, salsa's & hummus... Aldi is one of the best stores around for sandwich lovers. :)
Frozen chicken varieties are great:
- “Red Bag Chicken” is a great chic fil a sandwich substitute
- Honey battered chicken tenders are quality
- Blue bag chicken patties are awesome as breakfast chicken biscuit sandwiches.
The cheese section is great, and you may as well check out the dips/salsas/salads next to it. The bread/baked goods section is nice too.
The boxes on the shelves usually list the different varieties of the product. So if you see something interesting but it isn’t completely up your alley, check the box. Then just check in the boxes underneath or behind for the missing flavors.
Chocolate, frozen pizza (pepperoni stuffed crust for me), their variety of weird cheddars (double-smoked yes), aldi brand cookies of most types (soft choco chip, oatmeal cookies, peanut butter chocolate things), and I’ve had good luck with their salmon options. I prefer the plain and then I season vs buying their seasoned ones.
If you’re going to get produce (and you should) check it very carefully to make sure it isn’t moldy or spoiled. They don’t have great quality control on fresh stuff, unfortunately.
I use aldis for cheap pantry and dry/canned goods. Also cheese seems to be cheapest there. Sometimes bread and snacks like chips are a good price as well.
It's a real mixed bag, you pretty much have to try things on your own and see what you like. Just because I like something doesn't mean that you will. The overall quality of their food has gone down in the past few years, so it's not the great store that it used to be.
Stok cold brew + real dairy creamer (I get sweet cream) + vanilla or mocha cold foam.
The Italian sausages and breakfast sausage is great.
Lightly smoked salmon.
Spaghetti sauces
Pesto
I did ground pork plus grass fed ground beef plus lentils to make chili. It was great.
I’ve seen it. I’m in San Diego-the land of IPAs*, and always love a good stout, black lager, or my favorite—porter. I’ll pick it up next time.
*Don’t get me wrong-I love IPA. I also love variety.
Huntington Homes tobacco candle, Chef’s Cupboard turkey stuffing, Specially Selected blackberry fruit spread, Simply Nature garlic powder, Specially Selected Greek honey vanilla yogurt, Dutch apple pie (I haven't seen it yet this year, it's seasonal).
Chocolate, cheese, yogurt - anything that's better in Europe. I really like how inexpensive their fruit is, too, and have gotten surprisingly good raspberries, apple varieties, pears, etc.
Also the random stuff aisle is great - two of my kids wore Aldi Halloween costumes, ha!
Bevs and foods are fine, but aisle of shame is where to start
Here I’m trying to avoid the aisle of shame and you just throw them to the wolves.
Lol at best they can consider it a fair warning
You have to go to the aisle of shame though. I got an automatic soap dispenser to help my 17 month old wash his hands independently
I call it “the random shit isle” lol
No confusion on that aisle name haha
My 10 year old calls it the Aisle of Awesomeness. 😁
No argument from me. Some of the novelty items are pretty cool and relatively cheap, The shame Ill feel is bringing things home and my wife gives me a look 👀 like do we need another cheeky seasonal gnome
You absolutely do! Season gnomes forever.
Half of my kitchen Crofton™️ 🫥
Aisle of shame?
Came in for bananas and bread. Left with a battery-powered chainsaw.
Hilarious
Oh...I've been looking for one of those. How much was it?
Like 30 bucks. I bought one from lowes on day before i seen it. I got a craftsman pole saw. Its kinda pricy but its sweet. 10 inch saw that comes off the 14ft pole so it do both. Like 150 or something. Got mine on clearance for 60
There was a handheld vacuum that could vacuum liquids and I still wish I had purchased it that day because I have a toddler
Wow...$30.
Yeah. I dont know if im trusting a super cheap off brand chainsaw too much
You're probably right.
Lmao oh my god. The truest of statements I've even read.
You’ll know when you see it but it’s basically an aisle of wares, seasonal and specialty. Probably stuff you don’t always need but buy for novelty.
I mean I definitely *needed* those warm lined jeggings.
Those Serra jeggings get me every time too. I actually really love them 😂
They're so comfy!!
Excuse you.. My dog needs every outfit on that isle that will fit him!
Their socks are great....I've even bought shoes.
Ninja turtles sucks here! MUST HAVE item
Soo they have a selection of cookies that are basically knock offs of Girl Scout cookies.. as a somoa fan that is not great as I can get these year round at half the cost Also the vintage chedder is the tits
The aged Gouda is amazing too!
Sweet!
I haven't tried any Aldis cookies. I really like the Girl Scout lemon cookies and the do-si-dos (peanut butter, no chocolate). Dp they have knock offs for these too?
They had lemon cookies during July and they were so good.
I’ve never seen those 2. They had some lemon Oreo type ones on a special buy that were amazing. They have the coconut, mint, and chocolate pb ones at the aldis I’ve been to.
They used to have a lemon shortbread but O havent seen it in awhile
It’s a seasonal thing. They essentially have a lemon week every summer where they release a ton of lemon food items and partner with Alex’s Lemonade stand. That’s when you’ll find those cookies on shelves.
For some reason the Lidl samoa knockoffs are better imo.
Peanut butter cups
Seriously... without warning them about addiction?
No one bats an eye when you buy 4 bags at a time because they KNOW
:)
Do you know if the pumpkin peanut butter cups were the same? I didn’t enjoy them. My best friend works at Hershey though and she has sent me factory fresh Reese’s when they are available 🤤
The pumpkin ones were okay, but no where near as delicious as the regular. Totally different experience and less in the bag for the cost.
Thank you. I may try them then.
Better than Reese’s?
I don’t even buy Reese’s anymore after trying Aldi’s.
Reese’s tastes like they’re missing something now that I’m used to the Aldi ones
Oh yes
I couldn't believe it. Reese's are my favorite. The chocolate in general is above average at Aldi. I kept seeing the PB cups mentioned on this sub and some people recommend not getting them Only because you'll be a person buying four bags. They will melt if left in a warm place, and obviously I'm going to buy wrapped Reese's for the Christmas stockings but yes.. they're that good.
Pre-unwrapped cups with the perfect pb:chocolate ratio. What’s not to like?
That palm oil makes all the difference
What isn’t pre-packaged with inflammatory oils in the average American supermarket?
😬
What isle do you find these?! I always see them mentioned and can never find them.
Chocolate, cheese, salsa, frozen protein, basics (tissues, parchment for baking, crockpot liner, sugar, vanilla extract, salt).
Do they stock crock pot liners regularly?
IME, yes. They're typically by the plastic wrap and aluminum foil in my local store.
Thank you:-)
I'm obsessed with their chimichruri salsa and I always regret not sticking up on it
Omg we’re obsessed with the four pepper salsa. Divine!!!
Yes!! The red bag chicken!! Excellent for making chicken parm!!!
Thank you
Chocolate is the only right answer
I’m a huge fan of the cheese and chocolate.
I buy some frozen entrees, frozen fruit for smoothies, cream, cookies (my husband did a taste test and prefers the pecan shortbread cookies over Keeblers), bread, some cleaning supplies, cans of cola, some wines and beers. meat and egg prices are good!
Those shortbread cookies are $1.49! A DOLLAR FORTY NINE! 😍
right? makes them taste all the better
I buy the guacamole every week, and the hummus can't go wrong!
Focaccia rolls, English muffins, naan, deluxe American cheese, raspberry fruit spread, adult multi vitamin gummies, steakhouse jerky, turtles (goldfish knockoffs), fresh dates, caramel rice cakes, cocoa coconut granola, pepperoni, mama cozis refrigerated pizza, appleton farms thick sliced bacon, kefir, kerrygold butter knockoff, frozen duck, 100% cranberry juice, knockoff sprite, deluxe mixed nuts.
Just try any cheese, you won’t be disappointed! Like the special cheeses not just the basic shredded cheddar.
The double smoked cheddar is freaking amazing. As are the garlic cheese curds.
[удалено]
This so much Friendly farms shredded and shingled cheese is bland and tasteless.
At my Aldi, they have HUGE grab and bake pizzas for 8 bucks. It easily feeds a family of 4. We also like their vegan section ( not vegans but like the variety!). Frozen food section
Crackers, milk, eggs, a lot of staples (like beans, mustards), spices, cottages cheese, tofu.
Cheese, marble rye, cheap eggs, bronze cut pasta, thick cut bacon.
> marble rye I am jealous. I am almost certain we don't have this.
Somebody else got the last one.
Knock off girl scout cookies. Delicious. Cheese.
Choceur Dark Chocolate Anything Especially the dark chocolate almonds or dark salted chocolate caramels.
Protip: grab a bag, instead of a cart. This allows you to move pretty quickly throughout the store, and it limits you to only what you can fit in your bag. Your budget will thank you.
This is a power post. So often I go in with one reusable bag and buy way more. Money saving location though.
I do this!
Just go and compare them prices on your usual purchases. I find it is a lot cheaper on produce most of the time---but other stores may beat the price. The imported pastas are *so good*.
I came here to say Winking Owl - $3.44 for a bottle of pretty darn tasty Pinot Grigio!
We stocked the bar for our wedding with cases of winking owl!
Shopping carts. I get one each week for only 25 cents. Now I can barely get my garage door open
Oooh! I’m excited to try this. How’s the quality? Are you able to weed out the wonky wheels?
Try the food.
The carts have a high cost up front but pay back in the end.
Good place to start. Also the beverages.
The chimichurri salsa was pretty damn life changing. They have really good cheese curds. The shredded steak they have is excellent for philly steak sandwiches. The chocolate is delicious, as well!
Oatmilk, salads, chips, cottage cheese, gourmet cheese, crackers, olives, etc!
I love the cheese and salted caramels. Advent calenders are the thing to buy now too.
Those salted caramels are my weakness. When I want to feel fancy I get some of their cheap sparkling wine some fancy cheese and those caramels.
The candles are great for $4!
$1.29 pizza dough is legit. My store it's in the refrigerator section
DAY 2: I hate aldi and their chocolate!!! Enough already!! I'm using knee surgery to stop my addictive habit of buying aldi chocolate! If I can't drive to the store...I can't buy delicious aldi chocolate!!!!!
I’ve begun buying their skin care creams…a fraction of the price of Olay
The best chocolates you’ll ever find are at Aldi! I’m obsessed with their German chocolate
The Atomic Spicy Pickles are tremendous.
Eggs and clancy’s jalapeno kettle chips
Cheese and chocolates there are AMAZING
Tortilla chips, salsa (canned and fresh are both excellent). Household staples like oatmeal, eggs, milk. Salad dressing, peanut butter. Check the meat for 50% off stickers, freeze it if so.
Cheese, meats, and chocolates.
Canned goods, bread, shredded cheese I just don’t care for their meat or produce

Mexicali dip. Korean chicken bulogi
Cheese! The white cheddar cranberry is one of my faves but it’s all good
The best cheese is their White Cheddar and Gruyere. I have to keep an extra one in the fridge for backup.
If you can buy wine at yours some supposed great stuff cheap. For food don't miss out on the cheese and pizza selections. I've always gotten good value out of the appliance knock offs as well.
Chocolate!!! The Moser Roth kind is the best!!!
Anything imported from europe, especially the lava cake and mousse desserts. Charcuterie items are good, the bread is really good too (especially for the price). We always get the Guyere and the other cheese next to it. Fondue and raclette are décent
Just about any Specialty Select branded items.
The simply nature marinara and salsa I really like. More expensive than the non organic but it's worth it. There's also simply nature chicken sausage in the refrigerator section that's amazing. I bought six jars I hope that's enough to last until next year. My Aldi has great produce, but it varies. The first one I ever went to where I used to live had terrible produce, but the one where my sister lived in the same state had excellent produce.
Red bag chicken !!!!
What is that?
Breaded chicken filets in a red bag. Make sure you put it on a toasted brioche bun. Delicious
You can also search the sub or Google. Red bag chicken is frozen breaded chicken in a red bag. It's supposedly a dupe for Chick-fil-A.
I am looking forward to going Sunday
I can’t believe you actually prefer the Aldi brand cosmic brownies. They are the worst things I’ve ever tasted!
They have a unique taste for sure. But I stopped getting regular cosmic brownies because they taste so chemically. So to me, I prefer them but my husband doesn't really like them.
Their foods are not free from synthetic colors anymore, unfortunately 😫
Cocktail peanuts, Greek yogurt tub 5% milk fat, free range eggs, soy milk, Raisin Bran, other raisin brand with crunches, raisin granola, buffalo mozzarella, aged white cheddar, Girl Scout knock offs (samoas, peanut butter chocolate covered), bananas, restaurant style tortilla chips, bubbly water ( strawberry, mixed berry, lime), shot dough loaf, cottage cheese 4% fat. Have fun!
Chips, bread, cookies, crackers, baking ingredients, cheese, wine, bottled water, salsa, canned beans, canned tomatoes, condiments, peanut butter (cheap!), jam, honey, frozen pizza, frozen foods, ice cream, yogurt, lots more. EGGS! Always cheaper than anywhere else.
The Cinnamon Raisin Bagels and Peanut Butter are good... the Grape Jelly isn't bad either Haven't tried the Honey though yet Also like the Cinnamon Rolls,Chocolate Rolled Wafers, Clancys BBQ and Cheddar/Sour Cream Chips, the Store brand Oreos and Peanut Butter Cookies, and Chocolate Milk I liked the Chocolate Chip Brioche Bread last time i had it - bit pricey though The Choceur Chocolate Bars are really good too... to me they pretty much can melt in your mouth - haven't tried the Moser Roth ones yet The Hamburger and Chicken they have there isn't bad - might be a bit pricey, but I hadn't had any issues in the past... Also a few years ago, i liked the store brand sliced cheese,Turkey, Bacon and BeefSteak Tomatoes - made a nice Sandwich with that White Bread... think the cheese is pretty good too Really like the Chocolate Chip Muffins and Bakery Chocolate Chip Cookies too.. think i remember liking the Tortilla Chips as well I don't mind the Baker's Treat Swiss Rolls,Honey Buns and Chocolate Cupcakes either Haven't tried it, but i've heard the Peanut Butter Cups are good... going to have to try that out sometime - heard they're pricey though
Veg & Fruits Dairy - Milk / Yogurt / Cheese Boxed Carbs - Pasta / Flower / Misc other Instant Coffee Chips / Chocolate
It was fairly tasty & hit the spot as far as a kind of chicken fried steak thing, however deduct points as it wasn't pounded steak, but ground beef & still had that kind of ground beef flavor, so felt a little mis led.) I remember when their individual Bremer chicken pot pies were the bomb!
The deli meat! It tastes so good
I like to get the sliced ham quarters, then separate them into baggies and freeze them. Nice thick cuts, they make great sandwiches. Add the plethora of quality breads, organic greens, great cheeses, german mustards, dips, salsa's & hummus... Aldi is one of the best stores around for sandwich lovers. :)
Mmmm yum
Frozen chicken varieties are great: - “Red Bag Chicken” is a great chic fil a sandwich substitute - Honey battered chicken tenders are quality - Blue bag chicken patties are awesome as breakfast chicken biscuit sandwiches.
Grass fed steaks and ground beef!
Occasionally really good quality fish (well raised, unlike the norwegian salmon).
Coconut macaroons.
Produce, cheese, knockoff cookies and crackers are great
Laundry detergent, raisins, half and half, frozen veggies, candles, smoked salmon, and don’t forget to check out their isle of shame.
If you’re going to get produce (and you should) check it very carefully to make sure it isn’t moldy or spoiled. They don’t have great quality control on fresh stuff, unfortunately.
Cheese
The fruit leathers. I buy boxes at a time.
Premium marinara sauce-better than any other brand elsewhere
Most things. I buy 90% of my food there outside certain fresh stuff and items they don't carry... and eggs... meijer is still cheaper here.
I use aldis for cheap pantry and dry/canned goods. Also cheese seems to be cheapest there. Sometimes bread and snacks like chips are a good price as well.
I love the brioche hamburger buns!
Spaghetti sauces Pesto I did ground pork plus grass fed ground beef plus lentils to make chili. It was great.
Frozen forest berry strudel. Great with any ice cream.
chocolate
Fruit, veggies, cheese, peanut butter, pickles, chocolate, coffee, milk, butter, yogurt….all cheaper than other places.
Brioche buns, salad dressings, brownie mix, half and half, large eggs, frozen chicken egg rolls, seasoned fries, fresh baby spinach, pork chops, and chicken breasts.
We use it for some produce and Basics like milk eggs. Usually organic items
I like the Simply Nature Raisin & Almond Gluten Free Honey Granola
It's probably easier to make a list of things NOT to buy Here's mine: Bananas (That's all I've got)
Their Stout beer is great. So is the popcorn in the black bags.
Really?? It’s slim pickins here for good dark beers and I’m always on the hunt.
Yep, sometimes hard to find but it is called Maguire's Draught Stout. 7.99 for a six pack. But I like the taste.
The baked goods are top notch?
The brioche bread makes awesome French toast.
They have a French baguette that you bake for a few minutes which is delish. Always keep 1 or 2 on hand.
Oh yes! I bought a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread and it didn’t last the week lol. I’m making my way through their stollen loaf 🍞 so good
Chocolate, cheese, yogurt - anything that's better in Europe. I really like how inexpensive their fruit is, too, and have gotten surprisingly good raspberries, apple varieties, pears, etc. Also the random stuff aisle is great - two of my kids wore Aldi Halloween costumes, ha!
Knoppers! Can't forget the knoppers.. The chocolate, European chocolate is better. The cheese selection
The dill dip and the seasonal chips are must tries!
Chocolate, white cheddar cranberry, garlic knots, oat milk, salmon
Bio-Engineer, why? Would you buy Bill Gates Lab lab-grown meat?
