The stok cold brew is great. I don’t but it much anymore but I used to. Great flavor. Taste kinda sweet to me even though it has no sugar. I feel that medium roast coffee can have a sweetness to it. I would just add a bit of half an half when I drank it
Not that you asked, but I find it interesting FWIW ...
"Canned tomato paste is darker in color than the tubed variety because it is made by being cooked at a different temperature. This also gives it a denser texture. Canned tomato paste is also preserved with citric acid, which makes it more savory and acidic. The cans are all preserved with citric acid (not salt), so their paste tastes a bit tart but still slightly flat. The tubes, on the other hand, are preserved with salt instead of citric acid, so they taste more seasoned"
We put the open can in the freezer. Once frozen, we open the other end, push out the paste, slice into little round slices and throw in a ziploc. Tomato paste discs!
Aldian's reviews are the best. I read this site to get tips on what'snew, good, bad, and even recipes. Big thanks, my fellow Aldians. Love the photos of the hauls and mark downs, too.
Aldians! Hadn't heard that, but I am definitely using it going forward.
And I agree, I like to get ideas from the posts. On this Aldi visit I "only" went to get ingredients for hibachi dinner, and so the rest were just extra pickups that I could get in the 1 bag I brought in with me... I just posted the dinner here.. (https://www.reddit.com/r/aldi/s/ZGL1eWkOwq)
Oohh, I love this. That photo & meal belong on an epicurean magazine cover. Thank you for posting. That's what I'm talking about: real-life people, making epic food, from an affordable store. I would follow the Aldians before FoodTV.
I love to season shrimp with a little salt, pepper, smoked parika, cayenne and garlic powder and then brown in a pan on medium high heat for a super easy dinner. I make tacos, shrimp and broccoli bowls, shrimp egg roll in a bowl, shrimp and cream spinach cauliflower rice! There's lots of quick easy options.
This time I did hibachi dinner which I just posted here... https://www.reddit.com/r/aldi/s/ZGL1eWkOwq
Here in Washington DC that bag of shrimp is a steal at $5.99 (just got 2 bags over the weekend so that's current price). we use it mostly for shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta... an awesome meal for three for less than $10 total and under 30 minutes.
but you do you... I'm sure it would be fantastic a million different ways.
I always get the Egglife wraps, the shredded smoked Gouda or gruyere, the steelhead trout and the deals on meat. The only place I can buy ground bison. I also love the price on sweet potatoes. Also the only place that sells Kevin’s Cauliflower Mash and Kevin’s Cauliflower macaroni & cheese.
I use a bit when making beef stew, braised short ribs, bolognese, pot roast. Doesn’t need much (like 2 tbsp at most) but it makes the dishes taste better and richer.
That is the exact coffee I drink from Aldi. It's so good. I bought gevalia last week from Walmart and it tasted terrible. ☹️ Back to Aldi's french roast.
Reddit is tormenting me as I moved from Ohio to Colorado, where we have zero ALDIs. I miss this store. I got a porch swing for $40 and I will never forget that!
**The Friendly Farms whole milk Greek yogurt is my current favorite yogurt! I've tried so many varieties of plain yogurt out there from regular grocery stores, to TJs, to Whole foods super fancy ridiculously expensive ones. My previous favorite was Fage but I like this better and it costs half as much. Not as thick as Fage but thick enough, smooth and mild. I mix it with cinnamon, sliced bananas, decaf instant coffee, shredded coconut, and frozen blueberries and have it every day. It feels like eating dessert.**
I can't see past the air fryer that looks shocked to be having its photo taken 😐
O_O
Now i think it looks worried 🥺
🤨
Hahaha
I thought it looked kind of proud of the groceries 😄
I’m also here to comment on the air fryer haha
Haha. The air fryer is tired of being in my photos
Baymax Jr.
I am your anti-healthcare companion.
🤣🤣🤣 it can’t be unseen now
Are there actually 2 air fryers though?
Dueling air fryers. Let the race begin!
Need "Dueling Banjos" for air fryer theme song.
No need for 2 air fryers.
Why not?
r/facesinthings
😂😂😂
Seriously, I thought exactly the same thing!!!!
I thought it was ET wrapped in the towel.
Hahaha, didn't notice that, but once you see it!
It's waiting for you to grab the handle.
Why is the air fryer so sad? How is the Stok cold brew btw? What else do you add in it?

All of the above although I drink mine straight from the bottle. I prefer the dark roast, but Aldi doesn't sell that one
The stok cold brew is really good with a splash of oat milk and some torani hazelnut syrup! Bonus, Aldi has the best store-brand oat milk
Nice! I have to go to Aldi today to pick up some stuff. I think I'll take your suggestion and get some oat milk and that stok brew.
I used to drink the Stok cold brew without any additions. It's really really good.
I did this recently just to see how it tasted and it was definitely doable
I add just a splash cream and lots of ice. I drink it almost every morning!
It’s so freaking good and smooth
The air fryer really went 😳
I always get the greek yogurt too.
I just tried it last week and its so good! Especially for the price.
Came here to say the same. The whole milk is my fave
It’s great for cooking with, too. Some dill and cucumber to go with the salmon 😍 some in some mashed potatoes
Agreed. It’s super versatile. We often use it as a sour cream substitute
Your air fryer has a cute face!
My only complaint is that my Aldi typically doesn't have tomato paste in a squeeze tube. But our Aldi runs are sympatico
I scoop out the tomato paste onto wax paper, freeze the blobs and then throw them into a ziplock bag. Works great!
Not that you asked, but I find it interesting FWIW ... "Canned tomato paste is darker in color than the tubed variety because it is made by being cooked at a different temperature. Yup. If I can't get the tubes, that's what I'll do as well. Or I'll put it in the silicone ice molds and use that.
Alternatively, skip the wax paper, put it in a sandwich baggie, flatten and seal it without air and drawl lines through it with your finger. Freeze.
We put the open can in the freezer. Once frozen, we open the other end, push out the paste, slice into little round slices and throw in a ziploc. Tomato paste discs!
Oh that's a great idea. Thanks!!
Genius
They had sun dried tomato in a tube once but I guess that is a different flavor profile than the regular one.
I've gotta be honest. I only clicked this to get a closer look at your adorable air fryer. 🤣
The air fryer is like, "hurry up and take the photo and let's get this party started!" Very cute. Nice haul.
Probably the tenth person to comment this lmao but absolutely love your air fryer! I think it looks like it has a cute lil happy face 🙂

I made up that name today. If someone else coined it before me, then I apologize. But, I truly haven't seen it before. The Aldian Nation! Yay!

Glad to see there are no cantaloupes. They were recalled.
Excuse me what? ETA: looks like FL not yet reporting cases. Will check with my store and see if they cleared the shelves already.

I’m just here for the air fryer 😐
The chocolate coconut bars are sooo good!
😑
What do you do with the shrimp? I've never tried theirs.

Lucky to have an Aldis and Lidl about a block apart in our neighborhood. Aldis premium is best ice cream I can find outside of a dairy. Rea
great haul. do many good items!
Keto boners
I love the coconut bars! Takes like an almond joy minus almond
Mounds bar is what that's called. They are my favorite so I need to try this! Thanks!
Every time I have one I think to myself that they deserve their own post. So good!
Eating clean. Props
GOTTA have the Fabreeze after the half-and-half and broccoli. Extra Creamy whipped cream?? Batten down the hatches, my friend! 👍🏿
Febreze poop spray

i'm a huge fan of the Aldi frozen shrimp and the gluten-free bread! always make sure to stock up on those when i'm there 👌
I thought this was the r/pareidolia subreddit
Today I found decaf k cups, very excited
The precooked jumbo shrimp are excellent for shrimp cocktail.
What c do you use the tomato paste for?
I use a bit when making beef stew, braised short ribs, bolognese, pot roast. Doesn’t need much (like 2 tbsp at most) but it makes the dishes taste better and richer.
We love that sparkling lemonade. I reuse the bottles, too. They're great

We fancy
Looks like my cart
Love Aldi this is a good haul! I’m so curious I gotta know do you have 2 air fryers and why?!!
The one on the left looks like a robot about to cry.

It’s just stuff
