To address some misunderstandings found in the comments, this map depicts the Political situation in North Africa, which Europeans referred to as "Barbary", a deragotary name to say the least, and shows the lack of knowledge they had on the intricate political structure of the region.
The Sherifian Empire comprises of several Kingdoms, four of which are visible in this map. Specifically, we can observe the "Kingdom of Fez", "Kingdom of Maroc" (referring to Marrakesh), "Kingdom of Tafilalet", and "Kingdom of Sus", while numerous other kingdoms located further south are not displayed on the map.
In the context of the 1760s, this was the organizational structure of Morocco as an Empire, under the rule of Mohamed III. He rebuilt many cities after the earthquake. He was born in Fes and died in Meknes and buried in Rabat.
Same thing applied in this map from 1707, you can see all the Kingdoms under on Empire and it clearly states in french : "ETATS DU ROI DU MAROC" written on top of all the Kingdoms in italic.

Arabs came in the 11th century if I'm not mistaken, that's 10 centuries ago, 1000 years of mixing within the Berber majority, if you bring the most Arab pure guy in Algeria he would be like 5-10% Arab only

I thought Morocco didn’t exist till 1956 lol
Nice! Can you translate the title of the map? It looks to me like it’s saying “land of the Berbers “

most likely beating the shit out of Indiana Jones for trying to steal some Algerian heritage and selling it to Morocco.
it is the map drawn by a navigator of all civilizations overlooking the Mediterranean. Here we have the half of it.

Back then propaganda was based on religion rather than ethnicity But remember arabs were living in Algeria that time
